It's actually pretty ridiculous that an R5 weapon would cost on average more than a C6 character yet it only provides as much damage bonus as one constellation
To be fair it's a 21% increase over an already C6 R1 Yae, so you'd want to look at the damage increase compared to a C0 Yae with a 4* weapon to really tell the difference an R5 Kagura makes. Yae's constellations are the better investment no doubt, but a C6 5* character already costs around $1,400 in primos on average anyway, so we're not really in "sound investment" territory regardless lol.
Going to triple crown her because she's my favorite character, but as for her gameplay, she's super fun to play and I'm really enjoying my time with her even without cons.

I really wish she has when she cast E. That’ll improve her gameplay so much smoother. She sometimes hit by enemies while placing Eskill. That’s pretty annoying.
just use Diona or Zhongli? shields are a need in the game anyway, atleast for endgame. This resolves that issue, s are overpowered especially considering she has 3 dashes...
that would be weird as no other character has an on their elemental skill. and they don't have it for a reason as that would take away the skill from the game. you can easily time your E usage or use a shielder
For me, i always favor QoL over dmg when consider getting constellation for a char. That why i aim for her c1 from the start, it make Yae easier to slot in on more team comp. In the end, I manage to won the 50/50 and get her c1, now i’m a happy Yae haver
Exactly my way to evaluate Constellations. That's why, imho, Raiden C1 is underrated. Sure, C2 is a load more damage, but C1 opens up team-building for a single Burst rotation. I think from all the 5 star characters we have so far, Klee is the worst offender in that regard, since her C2 and her C4 open her role as a quickswap/sub-dps character.
You must love Tartaglia then. None of his constellations increase his damage but make it easier to play with him. One of the reasons why I love him, if you see someone doing 1M with him that's due weapon, artifacts and partners, not Tartaglia cons. Tho some damaging cons are helpful too, but not gonna lie, most of the players don't even have 5* with constellation

c1 is a really nice constellation, it opens her way more doors for team setups since she isn't so reliant on energy issues anymore. With c0 she feels effective in tazer comps or raiden comps, with c1 u can throw her in many teams that need a sub-dps electro dealer.

but C1 is supposed to just make her ER back to normal (since her E had poor energy regeneration). C1 shouldn't be having some super boost ER effect compared to other characters.
@@ezper_ Exactly, if ur in a team comp reliant on her burst (which is a lot since that's what seperates her from like fischl in terms of sub-dps), then yeah c1 helps a lot
I was saving a lot for her since she is my favourite character in the game, got overall pretty lucky and ended with C2 and R1 Kaguras Verity. Thats the perfect outcome for me. As mentioned in the video, this gives her good quality of life from C1 and the most desireable damage boosts from C2 and R1. Maybe I will pull more cons for her in future reruns.
She's probably the first character with such strong cons that keeps making her strong (even her C1 in help her overall team dps). Raiden might have a strong C2, same for Eula with C6 but Yae's cons all contribute so much to her total damage. She's the complete opposite of Xiao. pre-TC sheet had her C6 as being an over 100% increase over C0 Yae, no character have reached such high. Damn Mihoyo really expect people to pull for her and make bank, I guess. Edit: Also you hit harder than Tony To, knew she could go higher after seeing Alyss.
Request: Could we have an in depth analysis on "Who to pull for" Between Yae and Raiden? Comparing Peak f2p potential, and power enhancements between constelation level, as well as sheer strength and utility? I've seen many people asking everywhere who to pull for
Utility and Dmg wise it's definitely Raiden Yae Miko is more of an off-field subdps with no utility at all, her dmg is great but no utility compare to Raiden If you are a f2p and a meta slave,Raiden is an easy pick between them
I mean i understand the difference because of the cost of a c6 character. A person paying 1200 dollars so there's no problem with that but Still it's not that ok to give her that much utility problems without her C1.if they didn't make her ult cost 90 she would've been more flexible with her teams. I'm ok with dmg increase through cons but utility increase for a 5 star on a constellation is not that acceptable imo. In the end i like these comparisons between C6 and C0 cus it protects new players from being bated by whale showcases on Reddit and RU-vid So thank u for the effor

This time really is small duck move from mihoyoverse. Sometimes i think they really on drugs, they can make cracked character at C0 with stacked kit like kazuha, raiden, ayaya etc that still gettin huge boost from cons but as i said they pretty ok as C0 already, easy to use and improve your team power as what they role is. And then you have there with character that have so many problem at their c0 and selling the solution on cons so its feels like not an improvement rather than just how it should be

Her gimmick is nice and her rotations are not bad but she really needs that c1 witch annoys me so much they need to stop that and just make the cons an upgrade not a solution for the characters kit problems
It's REALLY not as bad as people are making it out to be. She definitely needs an electro battery, ideally either Raiden or Fischl. Yae can burst off cooldown with Raiden at around 160-170% ER. It isn't that hard. And so how is that any different than Eula? She needs ER, needs a battery. It isn't different, like at all. And no one was complaining about Eula being deliberately sabotaged or anything like that. It's day 2 people, there's over 2.5 weeks left on the banner if you're undecided, and if you just pulled blindly without waiting, well I have 0 sympathy for you. (but also, you're fine, just use/build her properly)
Hey IWTL, one thing I've been really interested in comparing with your Yae numbers is the range of the gap between C0 and C6R5, and how this compares to other units. For example (info taken from some of your previous vids): Raiden C0 with R5 Catch > C6R5 Engulfing = approx 2.5x increase to burst from base (not including Sara C6). Ayaka C0 with Blackcliff > C6R5 Mistsplitter = 3.14x increase to burst Itto C0 with R1 Redhorn > C6R5 Redhorn = 1.66x increase to burst (charge attacks) Meanwhile, Yae C0 with R1 Skyward Atlas > C6R5 Kagura = 3.5x increase to E damage *completely unbuffed from external sources*. Do you feel like this is getting to be too significant a gap from what a C0 player can expect? I know you've previously expressed concern about damage differential with Eula where her burst output increased by a factor of 4.5x, although that was with whale supports.

Hoyoverse really giving us a problem and then selling the solution with Yae C1. I think C1 is her best constellation. Getting energy back on her burst means building less ER and one can focus more in crit stats, atk, and em. Add to that Raiden and the new free R5 catalyst maybe one can foregoe building any ER. Though with Kazuha on the horizon i would be skipping going for it. I'll be patient and wait for a rerun, and who knows maybe by the time she comeback she would have a dedicated 4 piece artifact set.
I disagree firstly she is skill based rather then burst and if u really have the resources to go for constellations there are simply way better c1 or c2 to go for like hutao ganyu eula raiden still if u need big pp burst damage by all means u can pull for her c1 ofcourse it's just a opinion and no one needs to agree i hope i was helpful

@@aniket4488 you can share your opinions i think is great to hear others' thoughts. But this is why I disagree. Even if yae is supposed to be ability focus and not burst. Before her C2 i find her turret damage descent at best. I think this makes her burst just as important. With C2 and C6 yeah her turrets become the bulk of her damage, not before C2. I also find hutoa, ganyu, and eula first constellations way over hype. Going for Amos bow is a way bigger damage boost than C1. Hu Tao c1, although very nice, one can work around her stamina consumption with jump cancelling. And eula's C1 is just a good, and really unnecessary, damage boost. I think eula is a C6 or bust character if one is going for constellations. Raiden? Her C2 is probably the best in the game, and i agree is more valuable, but i already own a C2 Raiden. I still find Yae C1 to be a huge quality of life improvement to her kit. And me personally way more valuable than any of the aforementioned C1s.
I pulled on the banner literally just hoping to get Fischl constellations and got Yae on like my 6th pull. The look on my face lol and she is my first 5 star
Same here! I was going for Fischl constellation 6 and ended with Yae C1. Not the biggest fan but nice to keep in the collection for fun battles. Defs cannot wait for Shogun.
IMO, for C0 Yae it's easier to built for her Q, only go for Constellations if you want to buff her E damage to the max, but even then, always remember to bring party buff rather than on field buffer like Bennet. That dynamic scaling on her E and it's long duration is the one thing people need to learn how to make use of better. That's why IMO C0 is better go wtth Emblem and go for clean rotation with her IMO. The beauty of C0 Yae is her Q damage isn't that much different from a C6 Yae.
Tried to her C1 for QoL, got C2 Jean instead. F. That 90 Energy cost is completely unreasonable for the amount of damage her burst does. I myself had to sacrifice about 30+ Crit Value, just so I could get a semi-decent uptime on the burst. That C1 pretty much screams "Your character is incomplete without it or Raiden", pretty scummy behavior from Hoyo IMO...
Raiden doesn't even help that much. at 120% ER at raiden team it still takes 40s to recharge(and if you run widsith you cant hop in to recast 3rd time because it will go on cooldown). The solution is slaping ER piece, but then you lose 40% atk. So imo C1 boosts dmg by ~20% as well. I might be the weird one though. I have almost 180 ER even on kazuha(C0)
I guess hoyoverse wants us to use Emblem set on her and stack as much as ER. But this will undoubtedly make her E suffer, which is also major part of her overall Dps
As far as scummy behavior goes, that pretty much applies to constellations as a whole. Shenhe just isn’t fun without C1 which is the sole reason I didn’t bother to roll to pity on her. Hu Tao plays in a pretty awkward, clunky way without C1. The list goes on, especially when you start including higher constellations, like Kazuha and Raiden C2. The power and convenience upgrades from constellations in Genshin are enormous compared to most gachas where it tends to be more along the lines of just a chunk of stats (and generally easier to get) It's just going to show more and more if we keep getting characters who don't have most of their power by C0, particularly if they aren't even competitive without them
@@Erideah if you pretend that constellations doesn't exist and never look at whales showcase, these characters are actually well balanced without it. Constellations just make them broken, but as someone who uses C6 4* pretty often, they're on par with C0 5* characters which I'd say pretty good game design. Constellations for 5* are just whale toys.
@@bart7114 I have to disagree there, Raiden provides a ton of utility, not only her energy generation is comparable to Yae's C1 at 250% ER (23.75 Energy Generated, but it's for all Characters). She also generates a decent amount of electro particles too (~30 p/m) and can fill the Main DPS gap easily, besides synergizing extremely well with Yae. IMO having Raiden is a REALLY BIG HELP, specially for C0 Yae.
This is the content i was hoping anyone would do. I know it take times and lots of effort to do so thank you so much. Decided to keep yae at C0 / R1 since i dont see ER / range that important, as least with the current difficulty the game has.
C1 and you can literally ult on cd with her if you pair her with raiden. Her burst cost also makes her better for raiden C1/C0. She really goes so well with Raiden lol. But Raiden team comps currently are already top-tier being Eula-Raiden and Raiden National (plus some iterations of taser and overvape comps) Not to mention Yae's burst is comfortably within the 1mil range is an added bonus
Proud c2 R1 yae haver here! Shes so fun. She makes mono electro fun and seamless unlike before and her skills and burst are always ready thanks to me using c2 Raiden Ei, c6 sara and c5 bennet. Beautiful character!
She's my first limited 5* to have a constellation. Rolled her, decided to do a few more single rolls to see if I could get a C6 Fischl and got a C1 Yae instead. Still gunning for that C6 Fischl though.
I don’t really like her gameplay, so I’m not going to roll for her. I really like her design and character and was really looking forward to her, but her playstyle is just too slow for my liking. Lots of lag in her animations. I’d probably enjoy her as a burst sub dps, but I’d rather save for Kazuha’s rerun.
Definitely Kazuha if you don't have him already. If you get him a VV artifact set and 1000 EM, he'll boost your electro dmg by 80% (40% Elemental res shred + 40% elemental dmg boost from Kazuha's kit) which is far more than any weapon you can possibly get for Yae. You also get some nice quality of life improvements, such as insane gather and sub dps, best all around support that fits any team, top tier exploration as gliding and effectively climbing any wall using 0 stamina and a ten meter jump. Believe me, I'm a waifu collector, luckily got kazuha in one ten pull. Best thing I've done.
I got her to c6 and honestly I'm not disappointed. She is amazing with a c6 raiden and is perfect as a sub dps for taser teams since she buffs electro damage
Yo when her set and support come out expect to see 200k to 300k per tick on her e's friends. I'm also in the c6 gang. People already hitting 150k now with no max talents.
Took her to c6 r2 instantly. The damage was in line with my calcs so I was a REALLY happy camper. I never bothered to look at C0 Yae and only saw her in the test runs and youtube videos. To be perfectly honest, I would probably skip her at C0 or turn her into a burst bot instead.
I think they should've lowered her burst energy cost. She suffers already from being an electro user. Now she's got er issues. I hope her specified artifacts fix it for her but I highly doubt it
Her er issues are really overblown. If you have raiden, there’s almost no issue. If you don’t, fischl still works well as a battery, but you’ll need to invest more ER. Besides even if you get her burst off cooldown, you still have 22 seconds to kill before you can use it again. Also the higher the burst, the more burst dmg bonus for raiden’s skill. Still though, mihoyo seems to have a fetish with making 70+ burst cost characters and I will admit it’s getting exhausting lmao
I've been saying it from the begining - her sub dps damage locked behind constellations and a weapon. The only good build for c0 Yae is 4p Emblem since most of your damage will come from the buffed burst especially if you are planning to run her with c0 Raiden since you'll need all 3 bursts to get max resolve so you can't skip on your ER stat.
I'm currently aiming for C2, C1 atm, I'm saving full force till her rerun, gonna top up as well, I wanna get her to C6 by her rerun. Already got her weapon as well so it'll be relatively easy
I go C0 all characters for the future raiden C6 and Hu Tao C1 help me alot in 12abbys thats all i need btw love your channel keep going whit the nice content ;)
if people are worried about how the turrents target the enemies, i think it would be best to change the mechanics how the turrents apply electro damage to characters (although it may not likely happen). Level 1: the current thunderbolts Level 2: single target shockwave ring Level 3: single target shockwave ring dome (C2) Level 4: AOE shockwave ring dome. This is just wishful thinking, but I believe this would be the best option when it comes to targeting enemies. If this would be implemented, i would'nt mind the rest of the bad qualities about her.
I’m part of a group of whales, but we are smart whales in a way. We kind of take turns pulling C6 on each banner, one person pulls until C6, slaps a decent build on the character (for me it’s my 2pc Shim/2pc EOSF that puts *most* characters around 60/240). Building off of that, I saw the damage difference between C2 and C6 and decided to stop pulling her. My intention is to run Yae as a sub dps for Ayato in a taser comp, so with her not being my main carry it doesn’t seem worth the extra money to pull her C6. And honestly R5 KV doesn’t hit *that* much harder than Widseth if you when the correct widseth lottery. I would still love to see a video on it though.
True I tested It based on your explanation, as an F2P type as I follow your basic Guide, My Yae in lvl 70 at C0 talent 4 currently reached her burst 30K pero zap not bad I have no Kagura's yet
Nice video! I got her at C0 and am saving up for Ei now. Gotta bring them together ^^ As other team members I’m experimenting with Sara, Jean, Ningguang and Hu Tao. If I get Ei early, hopefully, then I’ll probably try for Kokomi. They should fit together rather well I think.
I just got c1 yae miko on accident and im not sure if i should go for c2 or if this is good for her already. I'm planning to save on Kazuha so i'm not sure.
I'm happy with her at C0, but I'm still going to shoot for C2. If I lose my next 50/50 then I'll probably just save for Ayato instead and go for her constellations when she comes back around like I did with Eula!
Thanks for this! Was debating how far to take her. Just have her at C0 for now but don't have anyone upcoming I need to wish for except get Raiden to C3 (which thanks for that side note because I was also on the fence about it!) so I will probably try to get Yae to C2 before the end of her run.

I was lucky and got C1 Yae. Definitely worth it paired with good artifacts and solar pearl or widsith r5 depending on team comp. C1 is indeed a great QoL improvement as I like to play around with team comps. Good luck to all those pulling and congrats to those who got her! She is very fun to play.
Got her to C2R1, which was my goal, then U was positively surprised by an early C3. Well worth it in my opinion, her damage is very good at C3. I think I'll keep her at this level for now, as I want to start saving for archons, a potential Yoimiya rerun and maybe pull for kokomi and/or on the 2nd weapon banner this patch if I'm in the mood.
