Cambodia was recovering from decades
of conflict and a lack of health infrastructure
when The Fred Hollows Foundation began
work there in 1998.
Twenty five years on, the ongoing partnership
between The Foundation and Cambodia’s
government has resulted in significant
improvement in eye health care for Cambodia’s
people. But there is a large backlog of people
waiting for cataract surgery, and many are
needlessly blind.
