Fast CSX Trains In Ohio! Checking Train Speeds With Radar Unit. CSX Auto Racks Train with DPU, Steel Slabs Train, Grain Train and a long CSX Manifest. These trains are in Carlisle, Ohio on the CSX Toledo Sub. This is an awesome railroad crossing that also has the Norfolk Southern Dayton District although we didn't catch any through freights on that line. Small group of railfans met here to catch some train. We actually started in downtown Carlisle at the Railfan Park. I filmed another part of this video at that location and posted it a few days ago. This is Part 2. I posted this video late today at 10:14am. I have some awesome videos to post soon so check back often!

My dad (his father, too) worked for New York Central, which became Penn Central, then Conrail, and after he died, it became Norfolk Southern. He retired when it was still Conrail. Before he died of esophageal cancer he gave me his old his old rule and time books, railroad locks/keys, and lanterns. I even have his railroad pocket watch.

The Mustang sounded good, not a bummer but a bonus. The truck frames give a whole new meaning to "frames per second". My Dad always said that watching a fire is better than watching the best television. Some great action on this one, enjoyed it much.

@@VikramCSX If I understand it correctly we see a lot on the NS line as they have that operations agreement with UP to give UP access to the East coast ports. A lot of times they don't bother swapping out engines when they cross operational lines... they both just keep track of who uses whose engines and balance out the differences. I would say 40% of the NS trains in my area have mixed engine consists - mostly UP but some BNSF thrown in for color lol.

This was a nice video with a lot of CSX trains and the one Norfolk Southern local that came along. The trains had a nice variety of freight cars on them. Your tour of parts of your property was interesting to see. That must have been some bonfire based on the number of logs that are no longer in the pile. I am surprised that Mrs. Tooth did not make a video of the bonfire.

Ya know, I've often noticed that when there's a single locomotive pulling the front of the train, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a DPU stuck in the middle of it about halfway through. Happens a majority of the time.

Hopefully one of these years you can make it up to the Buckley Old Engine show in Buckley Michigan... They have two different tracks set up... One for a big steam locomotive and a few passenger cars that is about a mile long. After 5pm they back the train and cars into a siding and allow speeders out on the track and give rides.. They do also have a smaller scale train that gives rides on a seperate track.

Yes they do. They have an easement that is 150 feet wide across my farm. I wish they weren't there though.

@@JawTooth Your easement would impact on resale options, lets say couldn't be used for subdividing into residential and probably would ideally be suited for continued crop development which tends to suit the contractor associated to that huge articulated tractor 🚜 🤔

@@vernonmatthews181 Yes, I am fully aware of that. The biggest regulation that affects my farm is the minimum road frontage required per lot. Thats the one that prevents farms from being broken up the most in my area and the second biggest one is the septic system requirements. Those regulations are very strict in my county even though we don't have zoning. The power line easement is very minor compared to those other two. The county adjoining my county isn't that strict and it has a much higher population.

Thanks for looking at your place and its history when you bought it.. glad you got it. yes, plant corn... my dad had a hobby farm about thirty acres or so... he was with the Grand Rapids Michigan for 31 years... the last 10 years... if the paper did not get printed it was his arse on the line. He started in the linotype at the Grand Rapids Hearld in the 50's as move top the Grand Rapids Press when they opened.

Man CSX gave plenty of live action with long trains! NS come on one 3 car train 12 axles lol plus the 6 on the lead locomotive geez. They seem to be the same way around where I live. NS just ain’t running much around here anymore . Seems like if you want good NS action you now have to go to the horseshoe curve in Altoona PA.
