Joe, you should have the McHale Spreader for 7 days to get a feel for it. If you are in the market for a new Spreader then try the latest SPREADER a BALE side throw. Lots of pro’s and con’s with both types of machines. Book some demo’s with at least one week on the farm to fully evaluate them. At the very least you will be tempted to refurb the current machine. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇺🇸

i think something that needs to be considered when buying tractors and machinery is what your local dealers sell .........you don't want to have to travel miles and miles to get bits for things when it goes wrong

Great video Joe, check out todays video from Olly at the Westmorland Show. I know your dad likes a spread-a-bale, he looked at a Micro Spread-a-Bale that can fit on a skid steer or mini merlo / JCB telehandler. Super piece of kit but at 12k it would need to be. As for the trailer problem, try gently heating around the grain shoot door with a blow torch to expand the metal, if that doesn't work then gently heat it up again and throw cold water on it (The temperature shock might do the trick) 👍.

Joe upgrade the teagle for a newer one , there bloody brilliant in reality , when is needed daily and has to be reliable stick with teagle , mchale build quality isnt the same , next farm on from us has a mchale slighly bigger than the one you tried is maybe 6m old and hanging

Would you think that the two rotors would chop the straw finer leaving the bed not lasting aslong. We have a mchale here last 4 seasons never put a spanner to it other than tightening the bed chain may take out a link this year
