Great to see the possibilities and set the bar for others to follow, what prop are you using ? And did you find the handheld speedometer as accurate as your phone app
hey Chris, I was using the Standard prop with the prop guard so I'm sure it would go a faster without the guard and would be much easier to ride at higher speeds. the speedometer was surprisingly accurate!
Waydoo Folding prop will get you going faster 😁. The Streamline Prop by "Efoil Solutions" even faster yet (based on my use with my older waydoo efoil gear anyway) I prefer doing speed tests sitting 🙃. Nice job pushing the speed standing.
What's the point of a speed test with the prop guard on? That's a massive amount of drag and increased current draw / lower top speed (a good 15-20% current draw penalty). That prop guard is the first thing to come off any efoil after the first 2 days of riding. It'll also increase the maneuverability and playfulness of the board too, and will decrease the liklihood of all your bails over the nose each time you slow down 😋
I have a Waydoo Explorer and having a problem with the speed level. On land when I turn on the battery and pair it with the controller I can hear the motor run and at the various speed levels 1 thru 24, however, when I have the board in the water the motor will only reach level 12 at about 13 mph and no matter how high I increase the speed level on the controller the motor will not go any higher than 12 and will not increase speed beyond 13 mph. Is there something I need to do with the Firmware or anything else that can allow the motor when in the water to run higher than the 12 speed level. I'm getting frustrated. Thanks
