@@adriandambietz4173 It was 2011 model year, and the ones sold in Turkey are not limited. Also the van got a complete engine refresh due to hydrolock, they might have changed the ECU specs during that.
Many correct facts about driving on the German Autobahn. Of course you can drive (where it is allowed) as fast as the car can, but from the perspective of insurance you should not drive faster than 130 km/h. So, if you drive faster and cause an accident, the insurance company can refuse to accept benefits.
@@Feger9 Thats incorrect and would be ridiculous. If you crash and its proven that you drove more than 130km/h, you will almost always get whats called 'Teilschuld' (Partly to blame), even if its absolutly not your fault.
@@maxkaufmann974 Maybe almost always, but not always. When I had a collision with a truck tire at 180 km/h (at night, so it was very hard to see) the truck drivers insurance ended up paying for everything, even including a rental car, without complaining.
I remember when i was a child, we were driving through Germany on holiday, and my dad was so proud and ecstatic when our Daewoo Nexia with a 1.5l 80hp engine reached 200km/h down hill. And then we were casually passed by what appeared to be a soccer mom in an X5, then a Mercedes taxi, then a 5 series touring with 3 kids in the back, all of them casually doing well above 200. I loved it. My dad's disappointing expression was so funny.
Comparing his driving to drivers of other Countries, you can easily notice how often he checks everything, rear view mirror, speedo meter, etc No wonder they drive very safely on Germany
When you (feel like you) go really fast on the autobahn... someone with a "bigger gun" closes the gap crazy fast and overtake you like a hurricane burst.. Lesson learned: even if you drive 180+ km/h keep checking the rear mirror
@@deleteduser8949 Except for it isn't chill at all because you are driving 100 km/h faster than the average driver on the Autobahn. The faster you go the more careful you have to be.
Even if you go 200-220 km/h you should check your rear mirror cause maybe someone will overtake you. With about 280-290 km/h :D Thats Germany and I love it. You can drive really relaxed with about 200Km/h even if a modern Golf on the Autobahn at Night
even with speed capable cars (260kph+), i barely exceed 240kph (maybe in 1-5% of driving) cause no matte how big your brakes are, your speed and reaction time will make it harder and hard to dodge the idiots. Swiss, Dutch or French or dumb German drivers regularly pull up into the left lane with less than 130kph. Some dont even signal and that doesn't result in the nice ride you imagined if you're pushing more than 250kph. Also arround bends and hill tops you cant push much more speed because you need to see more of the road than you need to react and break. Stuff can go wrong really quick and even though its allowed, remember that you actually wanna arrive somewhere alive and speed it's worth your or potentially many more lifes. Drive as fast as you can control the car on the given road and traffic conditions. Rather 20-30kph slower and 5-10 min later than dead. Drive safe and have a good day :)
My speed limit is 200 because my car can't go faster. The Autobahn to my girlfriend is always free (A23). Fun fact: In my driving school i hit 235 with a Golf GTD.
AKTSHUALI Erika was composed before the war as a drinking song. Then Goebels pulled a sneaky and made a really pretty song..... really evil... Thats how I like to see it. The words and melody are fun :)
I love how everyone is so proud of hitting 240 in Germany once... When you travel in Germany at night you'll have an average pace of 210 and get used to it pretty fast. But I'm not saying it's the safest.
It took me about 8 months to adjust from 160kph to 190kph. (And I've driven 160kph on the Autobahn for about 15 years.) Taking this into consideration, if you've never driven at your car's topspeed do not overdo it.
Lol I pushed my homemade 800cc dune buggy at 95 km/h on a moon surface road and it felt death whispering to me. Nonethless, I still love sharing my attention to 5th gear haha, don't try this at home stay safe Vince!
Best time for speeding is during summertime on a sunday morning. 5am, just when the sun kisses the street, the Autobahn is completely empty. The air is still fresh because of the night so your turbo can take a really deep breath, the sun is behind you and is slightly warming the asphalt, so your tires are getting quick grip... i did this often when i was younger, with a highly modificated Golf MK2. Biturbo charged V6 engine, syncro drive, 650hp. Just you and the empty A4 between Dresden and Goerlitz.
If you’re caught though you’re screwed. Was in Australia about 10 years ago. Then they had unlimited speed on a section of road in the Northern Territory. We were doing over 100 mph and overtook a policeman. That’s the true test.
Every "I only drive on the fast lane" person should drive on the Autobahn for learning to watch the mirrors is important. There might be a quicker car. *Cough most Swiss drivers *cough 😅 Ehm and sorry? Switzerland is def the "most firstest" world ever 😎
@@HotCacahuete I did mach 3 in my diesel Tractor B! Plus Elon Musk gave me a Space X ROCKET THAT I ATTACHED TO THE DOOR AND IT TOOK ME TO MACH 8 IM NOT LYING I SWER EVEN ASK MY MUM
I will feel safer driving at 110 m/h in the autobahn, than driving in USA at the speed limit 70 m/h, surrounded by people, eating, drinking, talking on the phone or jerking off. Do that in your home. Cars are to be driven!
My dad's audi can drive 275 km/h but once we drove from Frankfurt to Munic and he NEVER went over 140 km/h... Yes it's good for fuel economy, but it's just boring... Why would you need a fast car then? My Mums Opel Agila has a top speed of 172 km/h and she drives that all the time (if it's possible) i think thats way more fun... So i definetly agree with your points 👍👍👍👍 Good video, as always very entertaining!!! 😂😂👍👍
(in the future) Me: *driving to the German border with my brand new car* Police at border: Why do you wanna go to Germany? Me: I PAID FOR THE SPEEDOMETER, SO I'M GONNA USE THE SPEEDOMETER!
My dad reached 300kmh in his Audi rs6 2003, he then changed it for a 2014 RS7 and tuned it at ABT and I don’t remember the exact number but it was around 320-330kmh
Not a lie. Just look at the fucking fact sheets or use Google, it isn't that hard. A RS7 has around 560+HP, more than for scale's sake a Lamborghini Gallardo. Obviously the RS7 weighs more but it's only affecting the acceleration which is still incredibly fast.
In Germany you have a driving school, where you have to drive on the Autobahn during some lessons.. My record during driving school is 170 Km/h or 105 mph for the left behind countries.. just to say anything about our driving lecenses
Once a friend of mine was driving, and an old seat passed us at about 170 (130 limit). So he yelled "WHAT A FING MANIAC" while accelerating full throttle, 90kmh in second gear in his old 1.3 hyundai accent gli.
My first car (54hp 1997 Renault Clio) could do 160km/h but that shit was terrifying. At about 150km/h everything that was plastic in the car would start to rattle and buzz, then the glove box would crack open and spill its contents. You really got the feeling you were hitting Warp 10 and somewhere under the hood you could hear a little voice crying in a Scottish accent "I'M GIVIN' HER ALL SHE'S GOT, CAPTAIN!" And then the next time you pulled over you'd have to adjust all your mirrors. Oh, I forgot to mention, the slightest breeze could throw this car off by an entire lane if you didn't react fast enough.
There is a German Lineare Funktion, that says "y (Höchstgeschwindigkeit on the Deutsche Autobahn) -> x (Höchstgeschwindigkeit of the car)". It is complicated but good. DEUTSCHE INGENIEURSKUNST! 🇩🇪
The first highway isn't actually the late 30's Autobahn in Germany. It was built a couple of years before by Mussolini, who wanted to connect the major lakes in the northern Italy. On September 21/1924 Milan-Varese highway (now known as A8) was open to public
So you can't drive at unlimited speed. If you brake the sound barrier, you will create a sound that would be so loud that it is a disturbance of peace ( too loud ) and this would be illegal. But no Car with TÜV or anything will probably reach this speed...
They should have lanes for different speeds, where you have to accelerate to the speed of the next lane before entering, the real challenge would be determining how to increment the speed
i live in Luxembourg and often go to Saarland, the A8 is unlimited, you can go as fast as your car can, but there's always faster. it's a lot of fun driving at high speed when there's nobody, but to be honest I mostly drive under 150 km/h on busy hours and most people don't go faster.
Also, I have been told, if the police estimates your car is not suited for a certain speed, and despite the "no limit", they can still ticket you for driving dangerously.
At 1:15 talks about the Autobahn and shows the Ruhrschnellweg the most congested Autobahn I’ve ever seen, if you can go faster than 50kph there you are lucky
