I forgot to use the Celebration Mk2 (and several thousand mini nukes) during the last video, so let's rectify that by doing some entirely luck based speedruns...

World Generation will be RNG-dependent for obtaining the fastest time in Getting the Dirtiest Block. Although, the Seed itself can be Randomized by their placements, you can't randomly choose where do you start, just finding it fast enough is the crucial key for it.

Well it mostly just depends how close it is to spawn, but yeah, you need to get lucky and go in the right direction. The seed it still very important.

It would be cool if the dirtiest block changed to a different type of block if you dye it. Yellow dye would make it a sand block, Silver for stone, green for grass, etc...

i genuinely found it by accident yesterday, and i didnt even know the rarity until i saw videos abt it. i had stored it in my chests, so obviously i was worried i wouldnt be able to find it since they werent organized at all. but then i found it, a lone block of dirt. now i dont use any other pet

a fun playthrough idea i have would be to start with the gravity globe (I think thats what its called (its the expert mode moonlord drop that essentailly is an infinite grav potion)) but you can't use wings (rocket books and upgrades are fine), similarly to the portal gun playthrough Edit: i would be fine with you using a cheat to give you one extra accessory slot as to not impede to much on your build

@@Ptoki1 thats interesting. you may be right , but when you mine a grass block, you end up getting a dirt block, but because it it it's own seperate block as seen in the last vid being seen as the candy cane, i'd assume that you are right. I'm sure the wiki has some kind of note on that kind of thing

what if you went in with white/yellow solutions and clentaminated the whole world? or tried out the "not the bees" seed for this, where it still spawns but sticks out far more due to being dirt on mud rather than dirt on dirt?

Since there’s no way to know in normal gameplay and you can’t place it back down, I wonder if the Dirtiest Block still behaves like normal dirt and can have grass grow on it. Maybe generate some in tEdit?

Wouldn't the best way to speedrun this be taking the shroom claw to instantly (not mount or projectile delay, literal first in game frame possible) mine straight under your feet, (and if the dirtiest block can't be grassed, then mining the block under the block under your feet) and hope for a 0.033333... + (time for the block to float to you) time?

I wonder if there's a seed out there with a Dirtiest Block directly under spawn, such that you can dig like six blocks down with your copper pick and get it immediately? Would be easy enough to search for with TEdit but finding the right seed would be a trial 🤔

Here's an idea I've had for a long time: how fast can you kill eye of cthulhu in classic mode? 1.4.4 added some new time altering things (don't dig up seed being permanently night, enchanted moondial) so it would be interesting to see how fast it could be killed without waiting for night

All things considered across both your videos so far, I don't think we've seen a single world where there's no dirtiest block connected (by other blocks of dirt) to surface level dirt. That is, there's no world yet where all the dirtiest blocks are contained in isolated pockets deep underground. Sure that can happen but it seems like the odds on it are rather low.

Unrelated but a while ago you mentioned doing a run of at projectile cap or one less than the cap. It’s actually impossible to beat the game at projectile cap because the things that damage the shield of lunar pillars when you kill an enemy are a projectile. (You can technically avoid this by preventing the pillars from spawning by reaching the npc cap) There’s also a lot of jank stuff. Drills and chainsaws get weird. You can use a hook. You can only use true melee swords because spears don’t work. Yeah. I did experimenting while I was trying to cheese the moonlord in my weekly stupid challenge run(no hit no accessories no armor) yeah I know I’m cool(99.8% skill, 0.1% firework rockets, 0.1% 999 beach balls, 2% intelligence) I had to get this off my chest, this comment has been haunting me for days now.

I have a painful idea to try out Any game, but you use the built-in On-Screen Keyboard (At least with Windows) to move and interact with the world, so you effectively use just the mouse. It could be a pre-hardmode playthrough of Terraria, getting to level 100 in the Stardew Valley mines, or something else entirely, whatever will be the most interesting.

I find it incredibly ironic that your best Speedrun was done in 4'33, which happens to be the same name of John Cage's famous piece, 4:33, which is 4 minutes and 33 second of silence. The whole piece was meant to make a statement on how each performance of a piece is different due to audience reaction and events, so the silence helps you hear that difference, but much like this Speedrun category, is one of the dumbest ideas ever
