I got mine a month ago and love it to bits. It has gobs of torque and never cogs. Love that. It's not fast and it doesn't need to be. I love to trail with it in the woods.
I've been heavily researching lately since banggood shipping to the states takes FOREVER 🤣🤣🤦♂️ and from what my noob-to-bashing self can come up with: SOME losi 1/10 lasernut parts are interchangeable here. ZD LOVES to make awesome budget versions of amazing outlandishly expensive brand name stuff. Like their version of the Arrma felony has some compatability ect ect. But also the manual that comes with this little beast has a full parts list, a quick Google search of part numbers brings up some hop up versions of those stock parts too! I'm not capable of keeping anything stock so this has become my next project car 🤣🤣🤷♂️
I recommend you look for spare part availability and order at same time as the car. The faster you go the more you can break parts. I broke many on my 124018 and ordered one part that was available with one item left.
Hey Guys! I'm so glad that you pointed out the tow & camber issue, out of the box. To me, this clearly is a buggy for the hobbiest that likes wrenching on his vehicle. Tow & camber adjustments require a lot of trial and error. Much depends on the type of track, surface material, etc. When doing short-course racing, I found that the fine tuning of the vehicle's T&C and shocks, took most of pre-race allotted time. Take care! The "fuel line" that goes to the "fire extinguishers" are probably gas reservoir that helps with suspension performance in some cases...depends if they are just for show or if they're actually connected but it looks legit on both?
I like my ZD Racing cars a lot! I’ve got the brushless DB-16 and the ZMT-10 brushless. I really like both of them even though with the zmt-10, I always break something! It’s a great, fun basher! Good thing parts are cheap! Great video guys! Should do pretty good on bash mtn!👍🏻👊🏼⭐️🍻
Ahh! Another comment lol, blowing it up this afternoon. I ran mine yesterday with a 50c 3s pack and hit 31 on GPS. I feel there's room for improvement! Also, my speed tests were worse with the "stock" toe/camber settings. I dialed the front in and slightly cambered out the rear (so contact patch sits flat on full throttle) and saw around 2-3mph difference, which kinda makes sense 🤷♂️. I may mess around with a bigger pinion too yet. Idk haha! Not in it for record speed but DO want to see it hit advertised speeds. Tinker I shall! Again, great videos guys! You earned a sub out of me!
Throttle trim on controller was set at around 50 percent on mine out of box too....idk if that affects top speed/take off (noob, as stated above lol) but another thing to consider 🤷♂️
I bought the 1/8 buggy roller,it was all metal,but sadly all 4 shock pistons,every hinge pin,and an a arm broken in my first outing with it.It wasn't from wrecking,just big jumps with slap landings.
I'm 100% with Abby on ZD Racing. This car looks great but is so slow. In fact to buy this car costs slightly more (when factoring in shipping and tax to Australia) than the Arrma Vorteks I bought last week on eBay. Which would you buy?
COOL looking truck!! About 4 years ago you reviewed a ZD racing 1/18th yellow truck at THE hill & Abby said she liked it better than Dromida!! I the still have it!! $320 to get one with shipping. Seems like a lot of other options in that range you can get parts for easily. You kind of sound like a ZD racing sales specialist. I’ll have to agree with wifey on this one.
I got mine for 276 plus shipping. Bangood is running a sale on this monster. I honestly don't think you can do better for under 300 WITH a 3s battery included 🤷♂️ Tip for you if you're interested, there's 4 different brushless models of this car, the one on sale is the one with the rear spoiler. All other versions aren't on sale. Personally think the spoiler version is the best looking anyway 🤷♂️
I know you guys don’t like new bright, but you should just go in and review some ones that look cool. remember not everybody in the rc community can afford these super nice trucks like me and reviewing some cheapies that are actually GOOD since you guys are probably the best RC channel be wise of your honest reviews, would help a lot of us out =)
This car I junk! Bought 2 of them for my son and I and they break constantly. Shocks pull apart, dog bones snap, c-hubs wear making the oversized tires wobbly. No radio box. No help from zd hobby for parts. Do not recommend

This looks like a copy of the losi lasernat. I've been debating between the 2 because there's a 200 dollar difference. How easy is it to get parts for the ZD?
Yes I had a zd racing it was to much power for its own good. Wheels shredded and cracked . Would probably be ok if it was brushed but oh well. Get what u pay for. The zd 1/10 monster truck. Was really fun when it did run. And I also lost a wheel nut came right off first run
It is a pretty good copy of the Lasernut, they do another model with a spare tyre instead of the wing, yes you will need to sort rear camber and front toe. Are you going to get the ZD EX07 on-road beastie it looks mental. Oh Abby what happened that ZD are not on your Xmas card list lol.
Nate I bet the reason why so much torque could it be its a Crawler?? I bet it has no problem getting up bash Mountain. So ill predict its going to do very well there LOL
it's not even 200$ , it's ~300$ and it's slower than an under 100$ Wltoys 124018 ....a 124016 ( version 2 without the cogging issue) on a 3S lipo is almost twice as fast !
Put a spectrum 3300 motor and esc combo in it, adjustable linkage and either a wheelie bar or disassemble the rear diff and doggone because it will not ever catch traction
I’ve owned 2. The 1/10 monster truck I didn’t care for and I had the 1/8 pirates 2 monster truck I’d actually purchase another one of those. It was more durable then my erevo
Hey guys I have been looking for a budget brushless system and none of them ever say if the motor and esc can take 2s or 3s so I was wondering if there is away to tell what it takes like maybe from the amps or maybe kv if anyone can help it would be much appreciated
Have never owned anything from ZD Racing before. Seems expensive for a Banggood purchase. My theory is surface vehicles break frequently so I’m not dealing with China Banggood trying to track down parts and my past experience with Banggood customer service was a nightmare. It’s Team Associated, Losi and Arrma for me. Top notch Horizon Hobby customer service. I’ll opt for the premium in price for quality products and service.
If you buy zd racing buy three hub carrier replacements for each tire four extra tires suspension arms for from and rear. And pray you don’t break a part you don’t have cause it will take 2 months to get.
I really like that RC I also like the Mustang XO7. My only reason for not pulling the trigger is parts. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but parts are almost non-existent. I wish Amain or Tower stocked parts. I would own a few of that brand's rc vehicles. Please let me know if I'm wrong. Bangood has very few parts.
Why do you guys always put the gps in silly places like taping it to the roof or on the front bumper ,just a suggestion why not put it where it won’t get broken seems like common sense to me
ZD BROKEN/UPINSMOKE lol here we go again it looks absolutely stunning but how long till it falls apart or goes up in smoke ? Its just the zmt 10 with a fancy dress so the chassis will bend the first bash the gear mesh will not line up after the second bash thats if you get the second bash due to the esc burning up lol
I love zd racing I don't have this one yet I'm waiting I guess lol I have to buy this one... Not enough supporters and subscribers yet... So I have to spend my 9 to 5 money lol
