The only doubt is, where does all the money goes? They say that they are collecting for good roads and Asking Tax. But i havnt seen any changes in roades in villages. The best thing is that the political people never pay for it. They Just show id and goes away. Only Middle class people paying everything They ask for. And even india is Only on the top by Middle class persons. Only this category pay everything. Sharam karo modi.

One correction: the communication between acquirer and issuer is not in real time. This happens offline. The validity of the tag is done at the local server in the toll plaza. The server gets the updated list of valid tags, once in 30 mins. Just FYI, all transit txns are done offline. Eg metro.
ohhk.... Some crucial chunks to notice here. Thanks Chirag. But Official website of FASTag by Government of India says - everything goes hand in hand instantaneously.
Blacklist tag file is sent to plaza server every 10 mins and same transaction file is sent to netc server in every 10 mins that's why it takes 10 mins to send sms. If internet connectivity is some how broken at plaza server it takes more than 10 mins to send transaction sms.
There is hardly anything FAST about fast tag service, spend almost the same amount of time at the toll plaza with idiots who form 2 lines for one lane and truckies who will hunt for the money after stopping at the gate. I thought it would be like foreign countries where you drive at 60 Kmph through the gate. Disappointed ☹️
