Very well presented ! Unfortunately, nobody will ever do anything about the corrupt and their corruption (FIFA). None of us who watch football (soccer) will ever stop watching - no matter how Qatar the issues are - and none of the giant corporations will stop wanting the giant paycheques they get.
@@RankinMsP even though it’s a warning , eight months late, I will heed the warning, but also add… It’s only called soccer in 4 or 5 countries. Most of the world calls it football. Also, it’s in brackets because I used the term football , which Americans might think was meant as the throwing one.
@@RankinMsPFrom what I can gather “soccer” used to be used side by side with “football” in the UK to refer to the sport (albeit more so by wealthier folks) until about the last few decades where now “football” is more popular there because people didn’t want to imitate the rich so much and most people nowadays think “soccer” is just what I, a weird American, call it, along with my Canadian, Australian, and Irish peers. I bet there’s some newspaper clipping from 1930 or something in a newspaper from someplace in England that refers to a local “soccer” match. All this to say it’s not like we came up with the name on our own here in the US.
@@DiamondKingStudios It started as Association Football. We also have other forms of football thrown - rugby - also called rugby football. Nobody cares what the toffs think, they have always been more about rugby than football.
How’s Prince William?? Head of the English FA, theoretical future sovereign of Australia, yet he dropped Australia like a bad habit in the first round of voting when the choice between Qatar and a sack full of cash and zero regional or economic benefit to the game or AUSTRALIA and ALL OF THE ABOVE. Say no more.
It just makes clear that there are two types of people on this earth, those that care about the good of society and those that care about the good for themselves. I think society has a choice to make in the upcoming decade. Fifa is simply a highly public example of the issue
Same here. Didn't watch a single game, a single highlights video, or any game report. Didn't follow the stats or the brackets. Kept calling it the most corrupt World Cup in FIFA history; built on bribery, slave labour and human sacrifice, and took the stand that people should boycott the tournament. Found alternative football to watch instead. I know Argentina won only because the news of it was sprayed all over every feed I'm subscribed to but beyond that I avoided this tournament like the plague.
Qatar paying to host the world cup Meanwhile germany who got to host the world cup, by a satire magazine offering the representatives cuckoo clocks and and black forest ham ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Sure 600 brown workers might have died, but why is nobody talking about the poor white middle-class non-gendered english supporters who had their representative flag violently torn off the English kit? Do you think it will soon before they get over such kind of trauma? If ever?
FIFA will always continue the tradition of sports. Qutar being a country LITERALLY controlled by a middle eastern crimezone is not that helpful, especially since all that money was secretly stolen from France and Turkish banks. Here's a western promotion, send armies to wipe out the ENTIRE criminal underworld!?! No survivors associated with said crimelords as they still are larvae for those crimelords as emergency re-emergences. Either we stop being this lazy and support our militaries and law enforcement against those manipulative bastards who CLEARY rigged the event, we get to see the better options of players make the games better.
The problems with Sepp Blatter don't stop with Qatar. He's been roundly praised by himself for expanding FIFA's popularity in Asia and Africa, helping millions in poor countries enjoy the 'Beautiful Game' and giving them a seat at the table. And while I'm very happy that South Africa got to host the 2010 World Cup even if they threw it back in our face by giving us the vuvuzela, my cynical mind can't help be notice that Asia and Africa both have a lot of problems with corrupt governments. Sure, he diminished the power of the European and South American leagues and their colonialist, racist, white supremacist elites within FIFA. But funnily, that meant a lot of countries with a poor human rights record, high degrees of income inequality, blatant government corruption, and unaccountable dictatorial rulers suddenly get to set the rules. Countries like... oh hey, Qatar! Fancy meeting you at the World Cup. Oh, you say you bought it? When? Just now? From whom? No way, Sepp Blatter? He sure is such a great friend of the underprivileged and neglected oil sheiks and blood diamond merchants of the world! Anyway, gotta go. See you in Riyadh for the ' 34 Cup. Don't worry, I'll tell all my christians they can't bring along their bibles.
Yes we should learn from our mistakes but we should address western countries hv exploited countless countries and hv befitted and accelerated their growth to where they are today.
Have you thought of partnering with someone like navara media. You and several other have a similar take on things and together it would boost your ratings or just warn you more money lol
The gay issue is bad but modern slavery is much worse and I think you should spend more time on that, especially because you were showing images about this when talking about gays.
Then why to spend money for sports? Only eating is not life. Europeans, Africans and Asian built todays smart USA. That was also not easy. With lot of sacrifices.
What are you even talking about? This doesn't have anything to do with the US. The creator of this video is cleary BRITISH. Besides it's about a sport that most people in the US absolutely don't care about.
I love your videos about UK politics, they are brilliant! In this video, i felt the need to protect qatar in a way. Qatar leadership have been looking at the world behaviour and copying it, when you look at the world from the outside the 60's and 2000's look much the same, it have only followed the behaviour it have seen with regard to corruption and exploitation. Even with the poor working conditions there are still queues on nepal to get working rights in Qatar. The visa scam is common in many other countries, including Australia. With the gay rights, one must remember that the muslim world have a few definition to illegal. There is illegal in public and illegal in private, most rules are illegal in public but not interfered in private. At the same time being gay was illegal in dubai too, and there was not only a gay population in dubai, but also underground gay clubs, as it was considered private behaviour. You wouldn't see a gay pride parade, but in private there is not much interference. This in contrast to the christian total illegality of action, and I think thats fair as it is not part of muslim costume. Same with the 0% beer. You can't drink alcohol in the stadium, but you can smoke, which in the UK it is the opposite. I prefer to smoke in the stadium than having drooling drunks everywhere. Big thing for that world cup was that the arab countries could show its teams and top players, when the games are held in europe, most of the fans of the arab teams cannot get a visa to come and watch, and without the backing of the fans, the teams do poorly, this time it showed there are excellent players in the arab world. This cup have shown how easily europe, and the european people, are corrupted, qatar did what it intended to do, within their scope, and thats it. Fifa, and europe, showed a lack of back bone in the ordeal. That is why i don't think this video should have criticised Qatar, but rather those who allowed it to happen.
@@TheSmart-CasualGamer This is why I don't say I love football anymore. Like gamers, these dumbasses love shiny things, without asking where it comes from. Don't think baby, just consoom. Football deserves a boring era after CR7/Messi era is over. Maybe boxing can make a comeback since 1996
@@Madeguydo Apart from the very cool and super edgy anti-capitalist comment, the West actually scores the best when it comes to human rights. Not perfect afcourse, but the best. No place better when it comes to that. There's a reason people take little boats to come over here, instead of the other way around. But then again, in other countries they don't buy and consume apparantly. So.. good for them? I guess? *Confused Pikachu face*
Yo Saeson, that picture of the Welsh fans you think are wearing rainbow hats is the well known bucket hat the Welsh fans have been wearing for years. It has nothing to do with the LGBT community and it's just Welsh colours. That is all.
