This was interesting. I hadn't heard of these guys until recently while watching Harry Soo's RU-vid channel. I live up in Washington state , I need to subscribe to Texas monthly so as to be better up to date. Anyway cool story. Most often this many partners would be a disaster. But with this group I think they will do great things for a long time. I'm VERY impressed how they worked in so many different places then brought all that knowledge and experience back in. Will definitely include a visit, maybe a class into my next trip to Texas. Everyone have a great day 🌤
He said they don't take things seriously and I get it but... You can tell that when it comes to hard work, perseverance, and the quality of the food... They take it very seriously. Impressive from such a young group of people.
I lived in HEB for about 18 months back in 2002 to 2003 and I can totally attest to the religious experience I had with BBQ. What a great story these guys and gal have!
I think it's wild that the BBQ's who've been #1 and #2 for years are still just as good as ever, still producing BBQ at an exceptional level. But they're now #8 and #9 because 7 other BBQ's made it their mission to get better than the best.

Clearly they are selfless as a team, that is the only thing that makes something like this work. Each one has to be about helping each other succeed, then the team succeeds. Two models 1. Jordan led team, Kobe/Shaq battle to be the alpha VS. 2. GS Warriors Steph/Klay/Draymond led team.
Was in Austin a week before the new top 50 rankings and the plan was to have breakfast at Valentina's and lunch at Goldees. Needless to say we got the Itis( food coma) and didn't go. Did visit Terry blacks in San Marcos and Austin. Franklin's Interstellar Snow's La Barbecue Rudy's

1) Terry Black's in not in San Marcos. So no you did not go there. 2) Goldies is 200 miles away from Valentina's so not possible to do both in the same day. 3) Rudy's is a garbage chain restaurant and not sure why you're even comparing them to Texas' best.
