Man im so glad i came across a video randomly on youtube talking about this program. I use my headset so much more now and I can tell people the headset is so much more than just playing beatsaber lol
@@wavyhertztmtyping is printing something out technically so it’s a form of typing without the head to hand motion and instead going straight from the main prosecutor the brain to mouth it makes it easier 😊
folks are just nit-picking, great stuff… looking forward to using it on my quest 3, keep up the good job on improving the ux that's meant to be native to the quest os
I just got this app, it's honestly awesome! I noticed though outside of maybe YT the fullscreen button doesn't work too often? and is there anyway to get an ad-blocker or would there ever be a built in one? for pop ups?
Please let us know what sites aren't working correctly in our discord. discord.fluid.so. Extensions are something we're slowly working on. We have it partially working but not in a releasable state yet.
@ 2:28 if you look closely, you can spot in the reflection from the light fixture, what appears to be a small person underneath the desk doing the typing...to all you haters.
Somewhere between the quest browser, Ms edge with copilot, and fluid is the ideal browser for me. I dont think there is a one size fits all at the moment for VR/MR.
"How Fluid saves you time with its new speech-to-text" would've been far less divisive as a title. But I guess everything for the "engagement", amirite ;-)
It’s how and when STT activates. Normally you have to press a button to activate it. This activates whenever you pinch and hold in a text input. Like I said, small UX changes that add up to something more.
@@fluidspatial I don't really know, for the title of the video maybe something like "textual input" but the tech itself I guess it can be called vocal input, speech to text or things like that. I really feel like "typing" sounds like we have to input the letters ourselves
@@fluidspatial this isnt complicated, this has been invented years ago. look it up. text-to-speech..... imagine trying to code a website with your version of 'typing' and claiming that its innovative or fast.
I don’t own any VR or AR gear, but I think a wearable keyboard would be the best input method for quite a while. Though the layout would require a bit to get used to, probably a few weeks or months to get fully accustomed. Something like this, but maybe a bit bigger: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iOupyi-lQZM.htmlsi=o0RV9uhC4Ko1KF1V
While impressive, it's still a long shot of "reinventing typing" when speech to text has been around for a long time. No hate, I just think the majority of people are going to pick your word choice to pieces, lol!
What is speech recognition? That shit got introduced into Windows Vista 17 years ago? You're seriously gonna call this a "paradigm shift for VR" with a straight face?...
This app is really cool, but being unable to use whatsapp because of old chromium build is a desl breaker for me. I would also love access to the native meta keyboard, which is the fastest one for me. Also UI design could use some help. Everything else is really cool, tho.
it's basic speech recognition not Ai and it's been around since like what the 1950s, it's also not typing so take it out of the title, why would anyone trust you or your products when you pedal misinformation the only thing you're doing is upsetting everyone just look at the comments
its not typing.... such clickbait this is just speech to text I thought you gonna introduce new floating keyboard format or something. The reason I like typing better is because no one can hear me what I typed! this is meh
@@ItsPoseidon productivity and work..... LOL. try coding a website with text-to-speach. then youll realize the differences between actually typing and using speech-to-text software. lol.
