As an Australian i actually really enjoyed this video. Japan has so much history and culture and such passion for football, its great to see them go through. As a socceroos fan, im stressing about not making the wc, because we are in some terrible form. I doubt we will make the cut, and if we don't qualify, ill be barracking for the samurai blue.

EV. Bro beating Syria isn’t gonna be challenge for us Roos, this is what you’d expect with our team but with our form lately idk. Even if they won I’m pretty sure we have to head over to south america
@ev.9355
@ev.9355 6 лет назад
Isaac Madhwan yeah, Australia are a decent team we just need a key striker IMO. We should really beat syria at home but away from home its anyones game. With the poor form we hit reacently i doubt we will qualify. We may get pass syria, if we can play to our best, be than heading to south america will be difficult. At least if we qualify it'll be a great story.

As a football fan from India I can totally relate to this In India cricket is the most famous sport and football lacks behind it But in the last 5 years the growth has been great Grassroots infrastructure is developing and more young kids are playing the sport We got a new more professional league named Indian Super League and the effect of the league can be seen on the national team We qualified to the 2018 AFC Asian Cup Played a draw with China Hosted the U17 world cup in 2017 and the Indian team giving a fighting performance inspite of our standing in world football And U16 team reached the quarter final of 2018 AFC u16 championship where they lost 1-0 to South Korea And I pray to God that we keep growing and just like Japan one day India can also qualify to the world cup 😇

Being such a fan of Japanese subculture myself, it's really fascinating to see what football is like from Japan's perspective, and that game between Australia and Japan? I was kinda torn, but I will always bleed green and gold. If it wasn't for that game, we wouldn't have to play a do or die game against Thailand, or a playoff against Syria. This coming international break means more to Australia than any other. We win, we're in!

I never thought I would ever see a Japanese as excited as these football fans. I know, they're normal human beings, but they're always portrayed as some kind of serious, workaholic, rule-respecting, introvert people and then THIS: Joy, emotion, passion. This video proves they're definitely some lovable folks.

fast forward to Russia 2018 WC, they were gutted by the golden generation of Belgium while Japan played their heart out. Massive kudos to Japan. They don't dive, play cleanly most of the time, show real determination. Very Japaneseque football.

We'll get taste of this passionate fandom when our New Zealand team play Japan in a friendly on Friday night. Premier League players Winston Reid (West Ham) and Chris Wood (Burnley striker) will be playing along with our two Dutch Eredivisie wingers, Marco Rojas and Ryan Thomas and some talent from Major League Soccer in North America. Strong Japan team named too with many Europe-based players.
