@ourtube4266
@ourtube4266 4 месяца назад
@@MrraeraeJapanese and British factories have very good product testing and quality control procedures, the facilities are probably certified by an outside auditing organization as well. The Indian workshops might make a similarly robust pair of shears but they are too small to dedicate the proper resources to eliminating all defects from the products they sell. You need lots of concentrated capital to have a really good quality management system.

@@ourtube4266 I'd agree if you weren't talking about something as simple as fking scissors. Scissors are used to cut soft stuff like paper, hair, herbs, veggies, etc. I think it's kind of ridiculous to think these indians making handmade stuff for a living can't make a decent effort of riveting together two flat, sharp-ish chunks of metal with handles. It's not like they're making it from scrap metal and tin, why wouldn't they be perfectly serviceable scissors? They know what they're doing from what I understand in this video

I m from meerut and these hand made scisors does not cost 1000 but around 300 to 500 but they are durable and can sharpen and reuse for years. The reason Chinese scisors are dominating is because of the big margins a shopkeeper gets. Moreover professionals like tailors and barbers still use hand crafted scisors because of the durability.

Those are tailoring scissors used to cut garments, my mother has both Japanese and merut scissors, she rarely uses merut ones because Japanese ones are, light weight and easier to hold, but for cutting hard garment's merut ones are better cause its sturdy and the weight of it prevents wobbling.

It sounds to me like China is using machinery and India is using manpower. Do you see what the problem is here? Get the machinery, make the scissors, you should be able to make them very competitively especially because they don't need to be transported to your country. This is an ordinary problem that everyone faces in life. This is why the United States there aren't more blacksmith other than just a handful for demonstration purposes. My company sells a product that originally was designed and made in the United States with a certain composition of steel. I advised my workers that we were going to be able to buy this product at a much lower price once the CNC machines were programmed to make these products in China or elsewhere. The machine works just as well in China and the steel is available as well and that itself creates competition and it works just as good there as it does in the United States or India or the UK or Germany.
