Round 6 of the TRD Series finds the Yaris in Chuckwalla and all the top competitors of the Enthusiast class are there. our last adventure to Chuckwalla resulted in a torn accessory belt and coolant all over the engine bay. Will something equally catastrophic happen this weekend?

I just installed a secondhand set of Tein Flexz coilovers on my 2006 trd yari for street use this weekend, they were listed for $300nzd and he took $200! I watched the vids when you still had your tein flex z to look at your set up. I had the trd sportivo suspension before and it still felt like driving a small boat, its so much nicer now. So far i have installed front and rear Vitz RS Disc brakes, RS gauge cluster, RS VVTI solenoid (which is supposed to be more aggressive), Tanabe medallion G fordan axle back exhaust and some ROH 15x7 ZS on 195/50 BF goodrichs. Love your yari track days bro, cheers for the inspiration and big ups from New Zealand!

thank man! yep, full tank too. it might have been worse on lower fuel, or i might have just been pushing harder, either way i've got a new fuel pump assembly, new spark plugs, and a new TB spacer going in before the final event. that should hopefully eliminate all the potential problem spots.

@@RassoolRacing I was hitting fuel cut in turns 4-5 when I was pushing really hard to keep it tight through there, I sorta got it to stop when i would let the car track out more which felt smoother but would still hit it in other places. Ive been on the hunt for a solid aftermarket datalog system so that was super nice to see you found one that works for the Yaris, ill be at the final event, looking forward to seeing you out there again!

@@Stephen_Ellis Fuel cut is pretty common issue in 86 if you are using sticky tire and E85. It won't happen with full tank. But, it may happen even 2/3 tank of gas. It happen in left turn because the fuel pump is located left side of fuel tank. I'm not sure why Yaris has a same issue. But, if it happen in full tank, I guess fuel pump is one of the reason.

I would always get fuel cut on my scion tc, I had to have to always have more than half a tank of fuel for it not to happen. Not sure how much gas you have in your tank.

That's what I thought at first too. It's a common 86 problem as well, but it was also happening on a full tank. Not taking any chances next event though, full tank every session!

I keep getting lean fuel code after the 1zz throttle body and would love to data log the afr I see you have yours reading.
