Update: We'd like to address a concern many of you voiced regarding the misuse of a medical term. We mistakenly used the wrong acronym. We apologize for referring to Bipolar Disorder (BD), as "BPD", which is the acronym for Borderline Personality Disorder a few times in the script. The information and sources in the video do refer to Bipolar Disorder, and all our sources can be found below. Thank you to those who pointed this out for us.
Gabbie Hanna, a controversial influencer, has had her fair share of cancellations. However, it’s been a while since these dark moments, until late August, when Gabbie would send everyone into a panic after uploading over 170 videos in a span of three days.
Her videos were random, but something appeared off. Why was she reassuring everyone about her well being?
She had officers break into her home, and three different strangers on her property. Then, she suddenly wiped all evidence of her concerning week.
What happened to Gabbie Hanna? And is she doing okay now?
This is, How Gabbie Hanna Destroyed Her Entire Reputation in 3 Days / The Rise and Fall of Gabbie Hanna.

She was mentally ill the entire time. Being on the Internet did not do this to her. The Internet just gave us the ability to watch someone go through manic periods to the point of breakdown in real time. It doesn't seem like she got any help and the fact that she also seems fairly isolated and was getting so much attention that it definitely didn't help. Because attention is validating when you're manic whether it's good or bad. Like...she seems really unwell and that's not really something the Internet caused. It just didn't help. I hope she gets the help she needs because this is... really alarming.

If you have to consult a dictionary definition as a defense against claims on doxxing to make a claim that what you did isn't doxxing by pointing out a fine line... it might be time to reconsider whether what you did was appropriate or not. "Nobody else would help" -- yeah, 'cuz nobody on the net *could* help directly because otherwise they'd basically be doxxing the person...??? I don't think he really thought he could help, he just went for the clout. The story is probably somewhere in between, that he might not have pressed if she was trying to get him away from her, but he didn't stop taking advantage of the fact that she wasn't in the right state to be able to make a judgement call that he wasn't a safe person to have in her home. He probably wasn't planning on harming her, but he wasn't necessarily planning on helping either, and then started to try to justify his actions saying he was "the only one who helped her"

I suffer from a lot of the same things that she does and honestly it was so terrifying watching that because there’s some part of you that knows that could be you. I feel bad for her, because I feel like she’s stuck in this never ending cycle where she is addicted to the one thing that is so harmful to her and that is the internet. I think what a lot of people struggle with is I think that it is possible to feel bad for her but also want her to be held accountable. Honestly I think Gabbie is a good example of why fame from social media is so dangerous. When she first became famous she didn't have a manager, an agent, a publicist, or anything to help her navigate the toxic world of celebrities and influencers. To me, it seems very obvious that she's traumatized by some of the things she's been through and never properly worked through any of it. And it seems like she's going through everything alone. I have BP2 disorder. I've only ever been hypomanic, but her behavior is a textbook full-blown manic episode. Those with BP1 get full-on manic episodes. It doesn't excuse her actions, but it may explain her behavior. It's easy to ruin your life while having one. We all know what depression can do to our health, to our social life, to our hygiene. Well, mania can cause people to go in debt, push away friends, and react unpredictably as full-blown mania can manifest with psychotic episodes. A psychotic episode is merely losing touch with reality. Being out of touch doesn't necessarily make someone dangerous, just lost... Anyway, the disorder can be tough to live with. It's stigmatized, people may have had a few bad interactions with people with Bipolar disorder, (especially spouses), and judge all of them the same. You might say cringey things while manic, forget the things you did, and almost always regret your actions and fall into a depressive episode. I'm happy that my symptoms are managed. I've got great friends, and take responsibility for my actions, despite the illness. My friends are patient and forgiving, in return, I do my best to maintain stability. I hope anyone suffering with anything, get help and find peace.

agoraphobia has multiple meanings and doesn't look the same for everyone. "A person with agoraphobia is afraid to leave environments they know or consider to be safe. In severe cases, a person with agoraphobia considers their home to be the only safe environment," is another way it can manifest where it is being scared of leaving the home definition the other definitions include fear of open spaces, places that can cause panic. this video does not explain which definition gabbie is using. in psychology as well, agorophobia is a type of phobia, like how specific phobias are a type of phobia i.e arachnophobia is a specific phobia.

Actually while they're different you can have both and those with bpd are often misdiagnosed as bipolar because they display a lot of similarities, there's so much more to bpd than you realise, it's more than feeling emotions intensely, in some cases there's rare symptoms like extreme paranoia, detachment from reality and hallucinations. Also why we don't experience actual mania we can look manic. The Biggest thing experts use to tell the difference between bipolar and bpd is those with bpd will go through every emotion within hours, sometimes a couple days tops and it's not one single thing it's everything all at once, those with bipolar will experience one thing like mania for days before a switch will happen

A few years ago, my sister was 100% convinced that we are in the middle of a war and that people are dying outside and she has to save them. She once went out on the balcony and saw the neighbours kids playing outside, she thought that they were dying and needed help so she literally jumped off the balcony and broke her feet, legs and spine. I’m Bipolar1 and only got diagnosed last October after years of being minorly “crazy”. Then I became actually CRAZY - I had a full blown manic episode, followed by a psychotic break. During the worst of the mania, I had a grand mal seizure - which I’ve yet to get a solid “reason” for. Most of all, I was triggered by … the absolute lack of care, concern, or CLINICAL KNOWLEDGE that most doctors have. This could’ve been caught so many years earlier if only my doctors had any training in psychology. The healthcare system is so flawed that I slipped through the cracks until I ended up inpatient - where I was very forcefully restrained and sedated against my will. It felt like I was dying - literally. It feels like I can separate my entire life - pre and post diagnosis. Knowing that i’m bipolar is so helpful - but then again, my progress is limited to the very limited knowledge of the doctors I can actually get in to see. It’s a suit show out there - and I say this all as a frontline mental healthcare worker. It’s so triggering to work in this field and also be “crazy” … but somebody’s gotta do it.

Her downfall is literally so sad. I remember when her singles would reach #1 on iTunes and every video she posted got at least 5m views. Now her videos barely reach 30k views and her recent album (which is actually pretty good) got no attention at all. I’ve been watching Gabbie since 2015, so this is probably the most depressing RU-vidr story ever.

Everyone but her is at fault. Another thing in those 170 videos where she's breaking down and screaming. It's all bs. Thing is, I think this is the real Gabbie and that was a character who faded away overtime. She's always had this tendency to be just awful, angry and vile. She just used to be able to put in a big smile and a silly voice and cover it up with humor and creativity. I think she got lazy and didn't want to work as hard for what she was getting and then started to lash out when things didn't go her way. But then lashing out just became her new thing so she never stopped.

Psych wards haven't helped & my sibling is paranoid about mental health professionals overall & at the same time believes the voices in their head that tell them to attempt to end their life. My family just doesn't know how to help because even when my sibling is NOT psychotic, they don't want any help. All attempts of getting help have failed because my sibling threatens our family with their life & then proceeds to say stuff like Gabi... that she is safe. Everything is just everyone else's fault because "they don't understand". For anyone dealing with an individual like this... I'm sorry and I hope you are at a better place than we are.

I get where Nicholas was coming from to help Gabbie, but what he did while he was in her house is absolutely insufferable. He was looking at her medications, he was following her everywhere, he insisted on going on a run with her. People are saying that Gabbie is doing all this for clout, but doesn’t it look Ike Nicholas is? But if I’m being completely honest, I can’t fully trust everything that Gabbie says. She was in a manic and I’m not completely sure how that works, but I don’t know if she’s remembering things clearly, as mania can cause hallucinations and delusions, so she could’ve seen something that wasn’t reality. She did say she’s never had a manic before this, so she probably won’t be able to tell what or wasn’t reality. And she was high, on top of that. I believe a mix of both Nicholas and Gabbie, but I trust Gabbie a bit more in this situation. After she had her manic, she took the time to explain everything, answer questions, and she was clearly genuine. However, Nicholas, when creating a case for himself, the only evidence he had was his personal experience and he expected people to trust his word. He had little to no video evidence and the only video evidence he used was Gabbie’s. Gabbie has CPTSD, so letting someone into her house was a scary experience for her. Naturally she would be scared and suspicious. I believe that she didn’t think properly when letting Nicholas into her house and after she realized what she did, she got as much video evidence as she could in case he did something and then kicked him out after he was looking at her private stuff. In my opinion, Nicholas is a total creep.

Sadly most people with schizoaffective disorder refuse medication and spiral down. It's a shame. Once upon a time she was pretty fun and entertaining, but her psyche is clearly deteriorating without any intervention.

Unfortunately, she faked (?) having bipolar disorder. Manic episodes are usually characterized by a very particular form of psychosis that's distinct from other psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. Some of the more common and characteristic symptoms include religiosity (sudden increase in interest in religion; delusions of grandeur (evaluating ones worth and talents greater than they actually are; hence the terms delusion and grandeur; e.g. believing oneself is superman); and magical thinking (e.g. Gabbie claiming she's the mother of God). I don't blame you for calling her vile... most of society would. I get judged when I have manic episodes because it makes me come across as a narcissist for the duration of the manic episode, when in reality I've devoted my life to working in healthcare and adopting children instead of spawning mini-me's.

My best friend from highschool was bipolar. The manic episode that Gabby went through looks EXACTLY like the state I found my friend in a decade after graduation when I visited her. She usually reaches out to me since I'm naturally introverted but she hadn't sent me so much as a call or text in two years so I messaged her and came for a visit. She had developed this obsession and these theories and they took over her entire life and her home. It was like her thoughts were spilling out too fast to keep up with and she acted like she could see connections and understand things that other people couldn't. It had been three years since she had given birth to her son but she didn't say a single word about him to me. There were no pleasantries, no catching up, no questions about my life; I was subjected to a 3 hour impassioned rant about her 'discoveries' and 'research' that covered every square foot of her home. There wasn't even a place for a plate at the table to eat. I don't think she had been taking her medication; her boyfriend talked to me about maybe commiting her, even. I tried to be calm with her and just listen and not set her off by contradicting her or confronting her, but it made me really sad. She's still the most intelligent person I've ever met, but I think her intellect just made her manic psychosis worse and feel more real. She may have even been on to something; the arguments and theories and findings she discussed sounded plausible, even reasonable, until they went above my head - but it was the inattention to her family and the lack of even a space to sit in her home that truely spoke of mental illness. About Gabby's Later Videoes: She spends a lot of time telling her viewers what actions and words triggered her further and trying to clarify her previous statements, but what I really wish she would do is tell us what, in her view, we SHOULD have done. What type of intervention would she have actually responded to? Would she not resent? Whenever someone I love treats me in a way I don't like, I try to word my request in a positive manner. "Do" this, or "try" that, is simply more constructive than castigating that person or browbeating them for doing something you don't like. She says in her videos that being identified as "manic" was one of the triggers to her mania so even an accurate observation with no malice seems to set this girl off. I'm not sure what anyone could have said or done not to trigger her. She also both asks for help and gets angry at people for trying to provide it.
