How Gaijin Can Fix France 

IIRC WG stated back in the old days of that France is extremely problematic to work with as they keep everything secret.

A suggestion for video topic: Adding spaa to the USA ground forces tree.

I didn't realize other than the veeled whechiles that the French had their own tanks. I thought NATO was trying to standardize everything and basically Germany France and Britain and maybe Italy would all work on the same project

I think Swiss vehicles+some Brazilian vehicles would be cool. The Osorio 120mm uses the same cannon as the AMX-40. The MOWAG Shark is awesome. Their Piranha vehicles are very cool.

The domestic produced swiss tanks were a desaster. Like if you turn on the heater the cannon could fire itself .... massive pieces of shit

The export vehicles are super inconsistent from gaijin. For some Reason Sweden gets the Mi-28 and T-80 which it tested, but Germany gets the Class (3) P, which was developed for South Africa?

The Renault FT wouldn't be good at all. The Cone has the same gun, better mobility and armour than it, so I do not want to see it in the game, it would be useless and awefully bad. The FCM 2C on the other hand would be quite fun, kind of a mix between a low tier Maus and a T-28

The problem with french tank tree is, because of the lack of vehicle developpment between june 1940 and the Liberation, that it's difficult to find domestic tank to put in rank II-IV. Late 1930s projects, some vichyist projects and beutepanzer, some 50s US toys... Light tank: FCM 36 - SA38 - to get a little love from the mighty mobile pyramid with a decent gun (rank I) AMD35 CDM OR AMD 178B. The CDM stand for Camouflage du Matériel, basically, a secret vichyist upgrade of the AMD35 with the fitting of a 47mm gun in turret OR post-Liberation upgrade with 47 mm SA 35. That's basically the same thing (rank II) Mediums: Somua S.40 phase I - front-reinforced S.35 with better tracks and engine (rank I) Somua S.40 phase II - the same than previous, with a 2-men ARL 2C turret, still the famous 47mm. (rank I or II) (premium?) SARL 42 - Vichyist project, close to a S.40 fitted with the SAu-40 gun in turret. Would be something like a asmathic sherman! (rank II) Sherman M4A1/M4A3 (76) - Provided mainly to the french 2nd Armored Division. Probably not necessary, as France have already a bunch of Sherman on steroids (rank III) M-47 Patton - France uses 800 of those until the 80s. (rank V) M-47 CN-105 - Fitting of a AMX-30's gun on a M47 done in 1967 by the Arsenal de Bourges for export purpose. No sales. (rank V, premium) Heavy: Panzerkampfwagen B2 (F) Flammpanzer - Beutepanzer, replacement of the front 75mm by a flamethrower, the turreted 47mm stay (rank I, premium) M26A1 - Provided in the late 40/early 50 (rank IV) SPG 10.5 cm leFH 18/3 auf G.W. B2 - a german beutepanzer, but fun enough for the french tree: take a B1, remove the main gun and the turret, and fit a 105mm howitzer. (rank II) TD Laffly W15 TCC - Take a very efficient antitank SA-37 L/50 47mm gun, and put it on one of the most agile french truck. (rank I) Marder I (Sd. Kfz. 135) - Take the Lorraine tank destroyer, remove the 37mm gun, and put a Pak-40 75mm instead (rank II)

@@Jenkouille Honestly adding copy-paste vehicles for mid-tier France would be fine. Ik a lot of people don't like it, but at least it adds gameplay, attractiveness for new players, les big BR jumps and adds support for lineups.

@@joshjonson2368 nah Gaijin will add the Sagaie 1 with the TS 90 which is the same but without stabilizers and make it fight armoured cars with stabilized 120mm guns. Do not even dream of the Sagaie 1 with TTB190 (stab). Snail forbid the existence of the Sagaie 2, 10R TML and both Vextra (105 and 120) unless it can bet dunked from orbit by a space laser

8.3 has been super fun for me for France good luck suffering through the ACRA and stock AMX 13 HOT and MARS 15 I feel bad for you there

Starting from 7.3, France gets good due to fast autoloader and high pen. Even better if you got the Somua.

I don't know why, but I just love the AMX-13 HOT. Being able to fire sox atgms without a reload and having a gun as a last resort is really good.

A lot of people have suggested a BeNeLux subtree for france which would make sense.

France would not even need a sub-tree if Gaijin offered vehicles more regularly. There's really enough to furnish a good lineup at each Rank with everything that exists, and even more if you count the built and functional protos.

AMX 13 DCA (twin 20mm) ok but which one ? the TA20 one or the early TAB220 one ? Or maybe as you mentioned DCA, you meant the twin 30mm ? with or without radar ? Are you perhaps interested into the ones with quad 20mm ? there's the one on the AMX 12 chassis and the Swiss AA with quad 20mm and radar.

Replace VBL Tow with the VBL HOT/ATM and we good. (ATM turret has a 20mm + HOT)

Also the AMX 32 (1979) 105mm, AMX 32 (1981) With Chobham armour 105mm, Leclerc ares 1987 prototype

5.3 France is pain

Hi as a brand new french player, who just got to 4.3. What king of vehicles would you recommend to someone who wants to have fun? With the one requirement being that I picked France because I heard they had the fastest vehicles and I want speed!

Well, I dont think the italian recoiless cars could shoot onthe move without anyone outside the tank, so why not lol. And I don't think a Vespa has an "insane mobility", especially with a 105 gun, ammo and offroad

It even had 8-inch tires and it is said that "The front-line riders found the machines dependable, simple to fix, and incredibly mobile, too. I don't think it would be very fast off-road, it would be very fun. As I stated before, Popular Mechanics said, "shooting from the scooter is theoretically possible"(Popular Mechanics). The Bloch MB157 is pain since it only has 20mm Hispano with the 60 round drums. Meanwhile I'm seeing reference that the actual MB157 fighter (which was completed and flown under German control by Vichy France) would have had 4x 7.5mm MG's in the wings plus the Hispanos. 120 rounds of light cannon ammo go very quickly.

VAB VDAA is a 6x6 variant. however, most recently, they didn't model the 6x6 which could have been used for the TA23 (which cis the VDAA with additional Mistrals pods, so guns + pods) and instead opted to give France the Santal (which only has Mistrals), effectively nerfing the AA line with a less than useful vehicle.

M3 VDA would be far more unique though than adding another VAB. And it being smaller, lighter and faster would make it way more fun to pay ingame I would think.

If only there wasn't just the OFL F2 for the Leclerc. Missing its real turret rotation speed and mantlet armour too. And fuel tanks that acts as an Akatsyia's 150mm HE when hit. Would absolutely love every vehicle you said tho. I think they are adding the SANTAL in the next update

@@bastyen12 le VAB VADAR est équipé d'une tourelle Sabre de chez SAMM (à ne pas confondre avec la SABRE du GIAT) armée de 2 canons M693 (20F2). C'est celle du GIAT (sur X30 et 10RC) qui est armée de canons de 30mm (tourelle qui est en faite une resucée de la S401A présente sur X13 et X30)

The VBL is definitely a vehicle that needs to show up in the FR tree multiple times. Especially the VBL APILAS and ERYX. Solely because of the hilarity the two systems' hard range limit of 650m will cause.

VBR never recieved on Milan or TOWs. VBL did. Only good VBLs are the VBL HOT/ATM with the 20mm+HOT and the MPCV with the x4 Mistrals and .50. Others are just tree clutterring memes that are useless

AMX 10 P 25mm : eh...it's huge, if you want a Type 87 equivalent, there's the RPX 6000 with the same turret (so they get S T A B), a VAB wiht it too or the ERC 25 with a different turret but also stab, or the Sherpa with CPWS 25 which could also act similarly. 10 PAC 90 : It's basically a MARS 15 but bigger, it's huge compared to other better options. You have the ERC 90 with the same turret and 2 variants with a stabilized 90 (the 1983 Sagaie I and 1985 Sagaie II with TTB190 mounted), the VBC with (TTB190° and without stab (TS90) and the VAPE I and II which are export variants of the stab VBC and ERC. there's also the VBC with the KEWS turret. And both ERC and VBC with Lynx turret (AML turret with LLTV + LRF, which the AML also got) AMX 30 (CH29) is from 1975. You are confusing it with the AXM 30 C2. Might want to add the V,VE, and Valorisé (M453) to fill up too. And both X32s with 105mm. AXM 40 E4 was never built. Only P1,P2,P3,P4 (the one ingame).

They could literally copy paste the GMC M45 or M16 (yes France used both of those), then reuse the GMC chassis with Flak38 (4x 20 Oerlikon), modify the M16 into the GIAT M16 (twin 20x102 guns), reuse the AMX 13 chassis for dual 20mm (twin 20x113) (TA20 one and reuse the "Santal" they modelled as TA20, it's the same turret) and that one S401A proto you talked about. Maybe reuse the Santal model for the TA23 (23mm + Mistrals) as well. Clearly smart investment could save the AA line. Most of it is recycling assets or minor modification.

Or they could've given smaller VBL Mistral as counterpart to Type 93. And not this big (and comparatively slow) truck

@@1999Almaz To be fair the VBL Mistral would only carry 6 missiles compared to the SANTAL's 12, so you can at least argue it's more a sidegrade to the VBL.

Those only add metal to the side and nothing else. No stab, no new thermals, no additional engine power. 10 RC TML (late) would bring stab to the 10RC though.

RCR and SEPAR should only be modules for the existing RC. But an early 10RC with the old muzzle brake that could only fire HEAT could be nice as a premium or event vehicle.
