That young woman who said young voters are excited to have something to vote FOR, rather than AGAINST-- I'm feeling it too, and I'm decidedly an old voter. Welcome, young people!
@@GunnarLehrkeNuance and context, bud (bot?). She was referring to young people’s propensity for making mistakes about living life and general lack of knowledge about it due to their lack of experience with being adults. It was a fond sort of “stupid.” As someone who was once a young person, I could and can freely admit I was “stupid” in a playful way and know it didn’t equate to meaning “I am stupid about literally everything ever and that devalues my voice as an individual” like the people in the comments are trying to twist it into. We’re all ALWAYS learning and making mistakes… it’s part of being a person. Nice try, though! ♥️
@@PeaceNoWar288 I agree! The point I was trying to make is that /everyone/ is capable of being both bright and “stupid” because no one is an expert on everything. I’m on the side of young people and getting rid of the orange menace.
@@PeaceNoWar288 Are you kidding? The literacy rate at graduation here in the Chicago Public schools is 14%. Nowadays many young people don't even know what gender they themselves are!
The diversity of the Democrat party is priceless, let's forget about the felon criminal and focus on what really matters, AMERICA 🇺🇸 KAMALA-WALZ 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
56 year old GenX here. Keep up the good work. History has chosen you to change the world. It's an awesome responsibility, but you've shown you're ready for the challenge.
52 Gen X here - VERY tired of the Boomer shit and concur 1000%. Gen Z - there were never enough of us Gen X'ers to turn the tables on our Boomer parents. They were NOT there for us then and they are NOT there for US or YOU now. They are only there for THEMSELVES. They continue to burn the forest for the trees and give ZERO fucks about the future - AS they always have. Gen X has grown up watching them and they will NEVER willingly concede power. EVER. WE never had the numbers. YOU DO but you must turn out and TAKE IT FROM THEM. IT IS TIME.
As a 48 year old LGBT man, my only ask of Gen-Z is to not allow the GOP to roll back the equality we Gen-X gays fought so hard for in the 90s. I did my best to warn young voters about the supreme court in 2016. I get it, Hillary wasn’t an exciting candidate. But look where we are now. If Donald wins in November, generations to come are screwed. In 1985, with AIDS spreading like wildfire, gay men dying in the thousands, Reagan cut NIH funding. Trump, in his first week as president, closed the White House office of AIDS policy.
I am Gen Z and I will be voting Democratic up and down the ballot. I will do my part to ensure that Gen X gays did not fight in vain for LGBTQ+ rights.
Honestly, as a bisexual woman of Gen z I will do anything to protect the rights you guys brought forward, you guys are fighters! I hope in the future there will be stronger laws that playing with people’s rights won’t be a game anymore
@@UnionAdvocate Kamala on Freedom: In this election,” she said, “many other fundamental freedoms are at stake.” Among them, safety from gun violence; the ability to love whom you love, “openly and with pride”; to “live free from the pollution that fuels the climate crisis”; and, finally, “the freedom that unlocks all the others: the freedom to vote.” #VoteHarrisWalz for our freedoms.
This old Senior for Years..... have said Millenials and GenZ's and Beyond are the Future with Big Hearts 💙 💙 💙 We Need Them All to know America 🇺🇸 🙏 Love ALL 💙❤ of Them!!! Vote 💙 🗳
😡😠😡I am sick and tired of anything Trump; he has been complaining and whining for over 8 years now...WE ARE NOT GOING BACK AGAIN ....Kamala/Walz is the BEST WAY forward 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙.......
Am sick and tired after 4 years of BIDEN! Life was so much easier when Trump was in office. The reason gen z is the answer is because they are clueless! Hell most cant tell you who the first president was how the hell we going to trust them to chose wisely?
Gen Z here. First time voting blue. My brother and his wife too. I'm working on my red friends. Let's all do our part. We can make a massive difference. 💙
Gen X here. Have voted blue since voting for Mondale in my school's mock election in 1984 (lol). Let's do this together. It's lovely seeing your generation step up.
Gen Z, Blacks, Latino, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, what’s next??? People voting period is key to her winning , it doesn’t matter if it’s a room full of old mf’s just get out and vote…
I'm sure this applies to many other democratic countries also, but Australia has the best system for elections. Compulsory voting. Even if you don't want to vote for anyone, you still have to get off your arse and cast your blank ballot. Being too lazy is not an excuse. And because it's compulsory we don't have to beg people to vote and we know for certain what the true majority want. Being part of a democracy means that voting isn't just a right... its a responsibility too.
The lesson you hopefully learned was to do independent research from bona fide source documents before voting for a candidate. No one person can embody everything. Just be certain the person who gets your vote has a moral compass you can relate to. I know this sounds hoaky, but character counts. When your elected officials make choices that aren't yours, then you can trust it come from an honorable place. Welcome to the Big Tent of democracy and freedom friend. 🗳💙🩵🇺🇸🩵💙🗳
Parker is gorgeous and very smart. Didn't know he was fellow Gen Z as well. Wow! Also, WE ARE NOT GOING BACK! I won't, MAGA can try to drag me kicking and screaming, but I won't go down without a fight! DEMOCRACY WILL WIN!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
As a millennial, this is what we've been waiting for. They fd around and let us see we can sway elections with our votes in midterms... And prove we are a demographic that needs to be at the table! 💙
@@BallardBaller Those of us who actually know basic civics know that things will be different with Kamala as president since she'd actually have the power and authority to do the things that she's campaigning on when she's president. She doesn't currently have any real power as VP. She oversees the Senate and casts tiebreaking votes. That's it. She's not setting policy or making the decisions in the current administration.
The DNC looked like America. The RNC looked like a restricted country club. I am happy to see Gen Z so motivated. Hopefully we can make Trump nothing more than a Florida retiree in November! 💙
The RNC are like the rich, conservative owners of the hotel in Dirty Dancing. The DNC are the exciting, progressive dancers with better ideas and a much stronger sense of community. In fact that movie is actually pretty applicable to the current situation in many ways 🤣
Very well said! The GOP represents old white men and women who look down at the rest of us. They peddle in white supremacy, secretly use the N-word (and sometimes not so secretly), pollute our environment, poison our water, and do nothing to contribute to broader society bc they fight tooth and nail to NOT pay their fair share of taxes to support education, infrastructure, social programs and the country’s future. Most are greedy, egomaniacal pillagers and vampires, like Trump, who are sucking the life and joy out of America. Too many Republican executives and CEOs of large companies fit this description. They must not win.
We have a chance to make history. No I'm not talking about Harris possibly being the 1st female president. That alone is historic but with the exception of 1964 where the candidates were LBJ/Hubert Humphrey vs Barry Goldwater/William Miller, this year is the 1st time since 1948 without a Nixon (1952, 1956, 1960, 1968, 1972), Dole (1976, 1996), Bush (1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 2000, 2004), Clinton (1992, 1996, 2016) or Biden (2008, 2012, 2020) on the ticket. Let's do this thing. VOTE blue up and down the ballot to waste the maga fuckers like your lives depend on it.
Gen X, Gen Z and Millennials, you can't stumble with this baton pass in 2024, the stakes are simply too high! If you can't volunteer for a campaign or at the polls, PLEASE at least bring a newly registered, first time voter with you when you go to the polls to vote. ~A Boomer
I am not GenZ. Millennial remembers the feeling in 2008 when Obama won the presidency. It was a feeling of hope not dread and that is the ONLY place I want to return to.
Vote 🗳 blue 💙 up and down the ballot 🗳 💙 Give to the Harris / Walz campaign, volunteer, make phone calls, knock on doors, talk to your family, friends; make sure those who support the democratic ticket commit and vote 🗳
Younger people like students, military servicemembers and college graduates should go out and vote and make a difference. We shouldn't make the same mistake like in 2016 where a few of young Americans went out to vote.
42 year old "elder millennial" here very proud of and grateful for Parker and all the Young Democrats of Georgia. Take that torch and run with it, keep moving our state forward.
Elder Millennials are playing a big part in this too. Millennials so far look like they'll be the first generation ever to not become conservative with age. Republicans rely heavily on voters making that shift from young liberals to older conservatives to replace older voters who die off, but even with the oldest Millennials in their 40s now, Millennials are showing no signs of budging towards the right.
Seeing the wonder in that young man. And seeing a son cry thinking about his mom and seeing that representation from Barack is so beautiful! Its possible she is going to be our president and will give hope to the gen z generation.
Gen Z you control our future! I believe you will make the right decision in helping to elect Kamala and Tim as our next President and Vice President of the BEST NATION ON PLANET EARTH! America has ALWAYS been great and will continue to be!
I love our Gen Z generation. 💙 They are so much more attentive and smarter than I was at their age. I am 72 and wish I had paid more attention. They realize this is their world, and they are the future. Go Gen Z. I am so proud of you. 💙
I’m a boomer (64)…..i was turned on to voting on my first day at my HBCU!!! They taught me that my vote counts! I am so happy to see Gen Z voting! I now live in florida……and so many young people do not vote…..they claim their vote doesnt count…….if you dont vote, it will never count! It’s sad that we have lost so much!! Especially women….! Who would ever think that Roe VS Wade would ever be voted down! SCOTUS disappointed us all!! I am thankful that GenZ recognizes all!! I was never taught to hate others simply because of their color!…… just vote !! We all count!
I really hope Americans will vote for Kamala Harris as their new president 💙💙💙 even though I am not American, I really hope for the best future for Americans because your future will resonate to us also.
All Americans as European watching over Atlantic ,especially younger generation it’s your future next 10 15 years especially women’s right it’s your body gun control climate change investing in Education republicans want dismantle board of Education surely most important factor is investing in younger generation lay foundation next generation future pls Vote VP Harris and Walz ticket all Europeans looking across Atlantic so proud seeing younger generation Americans coming out to vote….she’s wonderful intelligent person Kamala Harris.
I can’t wait to have our first female president!!!! As a woman Kamala Harris makes me soooo proud and excited for all America little girls who now will see they can be anything in America. I was told that as a child but never saw many women in politics when I was young. So now it will actually be true.
Great video! Elder millenial here, and we were dragged by boomers my whole life. So glad we and Gen X are bringing in and encouraging young people rather than blaming them for problems we created, which is how I felt my generation was treated.
I have 4 daughters that have all voted for Kamala Harris! I am a lifelong republican and I too have already voted. For the first time I have voted for a democrat president. Harris.
My kids are 18 and 19 and told me why vote if we don't even understand and not interested in politics. Me: at least try to get informed. An example to not vote by emotion and identity.
