How good are Gen 3 OU Pokémon in Gen 9? 

Using a Gen 3 OU team in Gen 9 was actually pretty fun! The sets aren't as bad as the previous Gen 1 OU and Gen 2 OU teams, and the Pokemon are much better! Being able to use Metagross and Flygon in the Sand set up by Tyranitar was a huge bonus! Milotic was a great Pokemon in this team, being able to take both Physical and Special hits easily and having Mirror Coat to deal big damage back when hit by a Special move!

Step back into the world of Generation 3 OverUsed (OU) battles, featuring the stalwarts of the metagame - Metagross, Flygon, and Milotic. These Pokémon were not just fan favorites but also strategic keystones in the competitive landscape, especially in Sandstorm thanks to Tyranitar!
Metagross, the Steel/Psychic titan, was a force to be reckoned with, often used to set up early game momentum. Its Choice Band set was particularly popular, delivering devastating blows with its high Attack stat, however we used a mixed attacking set, able to use Psychic and Meteor Mash!
Flygon offered incredible versatility with its Ground/Dragon typing and Levitate ability, making it a prime counter to threats like Dragon Dance Tyranitar and a good check to Electric-types.
Milotic shone as a bulky Water-type, using its impressive defensive capabilities whilst using Toxic and Recover to stall out larger threats.
