Thing is, Ice Elementals and Storm Elementals with bless perform so much better they might as well be a different unit because of how big the damage amplitude is.
122 Ice Elementals killed only 42 Hobgoblins at one strike, what a crap when debuffed.. ^^ Is it still written in HoTa that Storm/Ice elementals do not suffer melee penalty? That was the biggest lie in descriptions about Conflux's units before in previous versions of the game :) The fact that Ice Elementals finally landed next to Orc Chieftains on the list tells a lot 😉 And as a cherry on the top - my personal feeling - they deal less damage when upgraded somehow, even shooting at full range with no obstacles it is still not the ammount that is served by Water Elementals ^^
How many units are remaining in these tests? Looking forward to a short series seeing max potential of these specific unit with a single spell cast I.e. bless or haste etc. This might be a worthy candidate
Thanks for the comment. Agreed that the dmg range is rather high. A couple of T3, and 10+ T2 and T1. We will get nicely at least to the end of the year... :D
Wait, what? Water Elementals killed all the Fairy Dragons too? That's... surprisingly good? Still no idea why they decided to engage... but okay. Could be worse indeed. Wow. Ice Elementals are weird. They actually performed worse against the Elites than the Water ones. By a lot. Just because of the way things went. That's... hilarious. Also... worse in the Siege Defence? Ah. That's right. Melee penalty. Why would it get that, I wonder? Doesn't make much sense for a unit that was melee focused before the upgrade.
The stupid mechanic of melee unit when upgraded become ranged unit, so does worse in melee combat All ranged units that are a upgraded versión from a melee unit should have no melee penalty
