It's based on the Dragon Slayer Sword from Berserk. It's examine reads something like "It takes a lot of guts to wield a blade like this". The weapon design was player commissioned and voted on, heavily inspired by Guts' weapon of choice.

This is going to be super handy for my iron. People were saying it seemed underwhelming, but I think for midlevel accounts (especially ironmen) who aren't bossing yet its a great alternative to D Scim and DDefender, overall just seems like a super interesting and useful weapon.
I think that it'll be a great weapon for an inexperienced hardcore Ironman like myself. When I played on my man, I was basically solo, I haven't had any friends in the game and I never joined any Clans or groups. The only boss that I ever fought was Bandos but not enough to even receive a drop. So I would say that I am an inexperienced player and I got bored with the game and decided to start a hardcore Ironman. So with that being said, I think I'm doing a fairly good job as I now have 1305 total level and am playing casually. I am currently working toward getting the reputation to purchase this weapon and I think it will be great for someone like me, at least for now.
@@MaxNick That’s exactly what I’m doing. The only thing I’m not sure is that the D Mace is only slightly worse DPS I think and the prayer bonus is pretty huge. But I still want this thing anyway to chase a Cudgel and D Pick :)

I mean the raw strength bonus is higher, as well as the accuracy, when compared to a dragon scimi and dragon defender. Ill be going for it on my iron as I invest more into slayer, alongside a ddp for spec.
I wish they add more non endgame weapons and armors with special effects to ensure game goes well colossal blade is one of them indeed… also smithing could have rework on osrs if they introduced more ores more armors like rs3 has - they could prob be 5 levels bellow vs compared gears like 55 65lv and 70 but not be better than …. Or some ideas…
Yeah, I agree but I will say I think the blade is a step in the right direction, they were originally just going to add it as a hill giants club transmog and instead we got this. A step in the right direction.
This is endgame and begin game content at the same time, there a lot of builds that have 60 def to just wreck people with the speed of claws for a smite, now with this as a finisher it's bis over anchor
I made a comment on that, vetion is 4x4 or 3x3 i believe, so not the full boost but you still get 6-8 max hits I think. Would be nice. Crush accuracy isnt as good as other weapons tho. But maybe salve will make up for it
Never even stepped foot into the wilderness except for starting the abyss quest, guess im gonna have to learn it to get a dragon pickaxe with this weapon now :p

Yeah this was with 117HD, I just recommend playing with the settings a bit, I haven't used HD in a while so I don't know what my settings were exactly at the time but it's all through the 117HD plugin on Runelite.
1:44 you said the blade is faster than a godsword. This is wrong, they are both 6 tick weapons. This weapon is pretty good for the tier you unlock it at, but it's a bit worse than a godsword for the most part and definitely worse than an elder maul. If 4 strength bonus is a max hit then the +10 max hit is roughly worth 40 strength bonus. I just tested this in the DPS calculator. For a variety of max setups, I compared a barrelchest anchor vs itself with an additional +40 strength bonus and the latter had +10 max hits in pretty much all situations (on task and off task). The sword's stats with +40 str you have 98 slash, 65 crush and 140 str. A BGS would have 132 slash, 80 crush and 132 str and an elder maul is 135 crush 147 str. This makes it pretty easy to compare directly, as it's apples to apples. From the statline, Maul > Sword > BGS as far as strength bonus goes, and Maul > BGS >> Sword as far as accuracy goes. The sword will have slightly higher max hits by about 2 on 5x5 enemies or equal on 4x4 enemies, but its accuracy will be lower than the t75 weapons, which is to be expected! It'll still be worse than 4t weapons, just as existing 6t weapons were always worse than 4t weapons in general. Conclusion: It sits just between BGS and Maul for max hits, but it's much less accurate than both. Great at the attack level you unlock it at (60) but it's worse than faster weapons which is typical in this game.
What would be better for flinching Kalphite Queen: Keris Partisan (not the Breaching version) on Crush for Phase 1 / Stab for Phase 2 + Dragon Defender, or Colossal Blade on Crush for Phase 1 / Slash for Phase 2?
Actually it’s better than the anchor by 2 max hits in pvp/ vs 1 tile monsters. The special effect works with 1 tile enemies because 1x2=2. This has been proven :D check it out!
I've put this thing through a dps calculator before and it's pretty consistently only meant to be comparable to the dragon scimitar + dragon defender. The colossal blade only out performs that when fighting a 5x5 enemy assuming mid level melee stats. Outside of a few niche snowflake ironmen accounts, I don't this weapon is worth picking up for any account. Also slight correction, it does have the same attack speed as a godsword.
@@MaxNick True i dont think its going to out preform a bludgeon but maybe it could rival the cudgel and be another budget option for ironmen or mid game main accounts there. Good vid btw man keep it up.
Decent idea, I decided not to for two main reason, vetion is 3x3 and the method I know to safespot it works best with a 4 tick weapon. Could be decent though at vetion!
Sarachnis is only slightly weaker to crush than slash and the blade has quite a bit more slash accuracy so I believe slash would perform best, Once the DPS calculator I use adds the colossal blade I can confirm/deny whether that's 100% true or not but that's why I used slash.

You keep 3 items at least on pvp death, I think the set up for callisto was way too cheap, could even risk barrows gloves on top of your 3 items they aren't expensive.
Maybe could of brought barrows gloves yeah especially with the never skull option now available, More so thinking back when you would 1 item just incase.
You can play a video back in x.25 speed and that should be normal speed, I do it fast speed as I dont want the video to drag and everyone still has the option to watch in normal speed if they wish to do so.
Could you let me know what exactly you didn't like? I don't feel as if I rushed this video while making it and the only reason I'm uploading more frequently is that I'm playing more due to being more motivated that my content is doing as well as it is.
I don't think it looks too bad, very clean and it can't really compare to looks tbow and scythe wise as it's just not on that level of power nor rarity.
1:37 , You don't need a giant sample size to form a valid opinion on a weapon especially when you've killed the bosses before. I made this due to being requested to make this video and being there's no other video I could find out there like it.
