I was at Ravens game in 2021. Tucker jerseys were the 2nd most common I saw. And coming from a Vikings fan, I asked many "What is it like to have faith in your kicker?"
In a way, this is a testament to the Ravens' philosophy that seems to be "win games without a passing game." They're the ones who won a S-B with Trent Dilfer, right? Then Flacco had that breakout playoff year (where two of his "touchdowns" were terrible passes floated so badly but the defense tripped over themselves running to them so they went for TDs). They got an MVP QB & what did they do? Traded away his best receiver, changed the entire offense into one that Every Team in the NFL Knew How To Defend & reduced Lamar down to Daniel Jones level. It's as if they're trying to prove the passing game is unnecessary. I wish they'd stop that.
So tucker could break the points record and FGs made record by 40/41ish if he stays on his normal pace... Adam Vinatieri played until he was 49 years old to set those records
When he came out in that lions game for the 66 yard game winner, I wasnt even sweating. Thats really all I ever need to say to anyone to describe what it feels like to have such an automatic kicker lmao.
Billy Cundiff was a choke artist late in his career and then Baltimore got the most automatic kicker in NFL History. Justin only needs six or seven more years to be the greatest kicker in NFL history and I hate it. I'm a Steelers fan.
His only competition is Vinatieri and the only reason you possibly put him over tucker is for playoff clutch kicks. And thats a silly reason to judge a kicker to me. They are/were both automatic in the pkayoffs and we cant truly pick a goat till tucker retires. He could fall off in 3 years and lose that percentage pretty quick. Though im not counting on it lmao.
@@glaciersmash4118 Man i remember i had the game off at that point thinking it was over. Went to the bathroom and looked up “ravens score” on google to see it was somehow 19-17. Words can’t describe how surprised i was😂😂
