Michael Penix Jr. to the Raiders in the 2nd. I'm a UW fan, and I think Penix needs a year or two to sit behind someone, and Minshew would make the perfect mentor.

@@cinch1619 yeah I was rooting for UW in the Natty. I will say though Penix feels like he has a lot of raw potential if he is able to live up to it he is easily a top 2 qb coming out of this draft

Colts fan here. Minshew is the perfect 'bridge' QB if the Raiders take McCarthy, Penix, Nix, etc. but I agree they really should draft a guy to learn from Minshew

Yeah its absolutely too early to tell with him one way or the other. If the Titans are in "too early to tell" which I agree as well, then Indy be default should be.

@@dantelabella9753 I think my point was moreso that when you have less then a season of film on these QB's its a lot more difficult to judge them as "the one" or "not your guy." Neither guy should receive the benefit of the doubt as THE Guy, but both teams should be happy at least to have another year of promising young QB's. Also, gonna highly take the 40 TD+ comment with a grain of salt. There's very few QB's who have done that in NFL history, let alone rookies. Lets slow the roll on putting absurd expectations on a rookie like that.

@Gungho73 I think AR belongs in the talent with question marks tier. He played less but showed more talent and potential than Levis did, and the main question with AR is injury.

And above, Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence played last season with 4 different injuries, while Richardson played like 4 game overall? I can see while he doesn't like to put any QB in elite but the jax will pay TLaw sooner or later and he said that he ranks the teams based on how the team evaluate the situation. Oh, yea and he put Herbert in elite which is kinda insane because the chargers had an elite roaster for several years and still were unable to do shit so far.

Exactly and even in those 4 games, he didn't really show he can be a great passer.

He did state that this wasn’t a list comparing ability, but rather how the team feels about the player. He’s not saying they’re on the same level, just that the team is behind them.

@@nevets1726, Steve Young was (eventually) an outright stud QB though. Smith and Gannon (excellent call!) are/were more in the 'game manager' role (along with Purdy, if we are being honest). Not saying they can't win the metal and a ton of games, only saying that the actual physical traits of what people associate with top-tier QBing are not quite the same. Young was bad on a HORRIBLE Tampa Bay team, then sitting behind probably still the best in-game quarterback ever (Montana, actual fans do not count Brady playing in a system that cheated their way to everything they did). So much so that Young basically forced the 49ers to move off of Montana, who clearly still had stuff left in the tank. Nobody moved a HoFer for Gannon or Smith (or Purdy).

Herbert will prove himself this year I hope, even though jim likes to run more, but hes more than an amazing qb and would PROBABLY win a ring with any other roster

@lazy_858 I absolutely think that he can be in that elite tier. He certainly has the skills. But I haven't quite seen it yet, and yes - he might have taken that last step up on a different roster. Looking forward to this year!

Bengals D has carried Burrow. He's a good QB but he's a little better then a .500 AB at this point for a reason... jes has some of the best WR talent in the league for multiple years now... and nothing to show for it.

@devinm9245 I'm not saying he's not a good QB... he is. Just not elite like a lot of people think for some reason. His stats, regular season and especially playoff, back that up. And that's with arguably the top WR trio in the league.

@JohnDoe-xp6oh Exactly... Lamars an 'elite' runner... but not QB. In 7 career playoff games Burrow has 9 td passes and 4 ints. That's mediocre at best. His biggest win in the AFC Championship game was only because of Mahomes only playoff meltdown... and the Bengals D.

Actually, they often have 'their guy', it's just that 'their guy' often isn't very good at the footballing. Really, for a long time, they were probably worse at getting good coaching, or it being stable. Poles sees that, it seems, and even though he (had to) launch(ed) Luke Getsy, he kept Eberflus, despite some calls to start over (again). Poles isn't perfect, but few GMs are, and he is definitely better than the past few the Bears have had.

Yeah that's been a thing for a couple seasons now. AFC has the better QB situation but that just happens sometimes I think.

It feels like nfc have better overall teams but afc has better QBs somehow. Like mahomes is much better than hurts but the eagles have a better roster than the chiefs

brock purdy should be elite

NFC is top heavy with teams that have great rostees top to bottom. AFC has most of the great QBs.

The Tua hate is wild in this video. How is he ranked behind Jordan Love (who has just played one season), Anthony Richardson who played a whopping 4 games, and Purdy who puts up great stats just like him cause of his weapons. Two years ago Tua led the NFL in rating, and last year in yards. Also Herbert has won anything, and hasn't gotten better since his rookie season. He has had so many chances to bring his team back in a game with the last possession and failed to do so. Despite having the "rocket" arm, his career yards per attempt is 7.1 and Tua is 7.7 (including the years Flores held him back)

You have to take into account he plays for the chargers. The chargers are the type of team that could rank #1 in offense, defense and special teams and somehow finish 8-9.

@@kimyona9746 I tend to agree, if we got anything else on top of that, it would be a huge W but I don't think it's going to happen. I think there are a few QB's in this draft who could be good fits and improve the team overall, but pretty sure they're taking Caleb at 1

As a giants fan I wouldn’t necessarily say that the giants feel like Daniel Jones is their guy. However, they want to make sure that whoever comes in next year will have a chance to actually compete, kinda like what the bears are doing for Caleb
