leveling a warrior I got a gem that adds 4-7 extra autoattacks on hit with a 10 second cooldown. Every 10 seconds I deleted the next mob I attacked.

Good point about the cloak not being equal across all alts. I haven't been able to jump into this but I plan to. I wanted to blast like 5-6 alts of classes I never played before. If I have to essentially restart with each alt, I won't do it.

With the loot crates maybe they should have pulled like 30-50% of the rewards and then put "big" boxes on capstone quests that would drop the 30-50% extra and maybe with chances of higher quality.

It reminds me of the BFA gear honestly with more choices. I feel like if they made them specific to class to tweak abilities it would be cool but it just feels like whatever that gear was called again as everyone gets the same things.

Would love to see them do this for legion next so we could get the mage tower artifacts! Still giga psyched to get the onyx serpents and class arsenals!

Nixxiom seems to be more and more disconnected from the game, he def shouldve played longer before even making a first impression vid, since most issues mentioned are just in the early levels and not actually problems. also yeah scaling is terrible and gem swapping sucks

I really like the event overall, but honestly i dont like alot of the transmogs. Maybe there are some i haven't seen but i got the August phoenix and a black cloth set and i feel like ive gotten all the mogs i wanted

I wasnt feeling it much until i got to mid 30s i think... Then it got really fun real fast. I started crushing everything in my path wether i had a quest or not just to mow down packs. And yeah im (a boomer as said in vid) old as fuck and this game is great for me and idgaf what name for me people make up lol I am most excited when i realize this event is only the 2nd special event experiment they have put out and if it is well received I am excited to see how crazy they get with it.

You can play the remix with a free to play account, which is kind of cool. Not sure if it was because I had a main wow account in the past, but I was able to do dragon riding on the free to play account too, which was nice. If that was applicable to someone new to wow on a free to play account, they would probably really enjoy the remix being able to fly all over the continent.

if they let u have the exp gain from lvl 10 that ur main has... u can make a full roster of chars in no time...

for those who farm bronze ...finishing a side questline(not sotrymode) will award you 1k bronze or more

Personally, i really like stacking those "loot crates" and opening them all at once. Usually a level or two on the cloak and a shit load of other stuff. Pretty satisfying.

Remix has shown me how little I need to do in retail at the moment other than catching up on achievements. I do have alpha access so I need to do some testing on it so I keep in the good graces for future alpha access.

Leveled to lvl 20, I have full epic set of gear . it seems after day 1 of the mop event they must’ve shadow nerfed the drop chances on epic gear : Player name Voltswitch ( Tichondrius)

Scaling was fun. I never stopped getting stronger, and even upgraded some gear along the way because I liked the stats. Then I got Slay and Brittle, and leveling just took the f*ck off from there. you put brittle on everything so it takes extra damage and aoe's when it dies. And then you have slay that executes mobs at a low hp level, so slay would activate and the brittle would annhilate, which would cause slay to activate all over again and you can pull huge packs get them down low and just watch them disappear. no scaling problem.. lol just skill and/or luck.

WoW started as a game for casuals. It's appeal was combat where you didn't lose everything upon death. Most other MMOs had the risk of losing your gear and all you carried when you died. PvP was meaningful. WoW gave less risk.

I'd love the Gems not to be in my bag and more of a talent tree kind of set up so they don't have to go into my armor. Super annoying constantly getting new gear and having to re-socket.

i have not played wow since wod retail, i didn't play classic/sod/all the other stuff. But i remember i had a great time in mop way back in the day and tbh im intrigued to play it. but ill have to redownload battlenet and start a new sub, idk.

Instead of starting out questing start with scenarios then goto dungeons then go back and quest. I had alot of fun that way.

Seems like it was an experiment just to see if we would like it and the user experiences have very greatly but now they have massive amounts of data to be able to crunch to be able to make this a “preferred“ way of actually doing speed, leveling without using or requiring heirlooms

I agree with the horde vs alliance conflict popping off in pandaria. It brought back that good feel as well as actually new content instead of just revamped classic zones and raids. I was originally the same view with not liking the idea of pandas and what not but I understood that technically they were part of the warcraft lore so I gave it a chance and it turned out okay. I can say I enjoyed it more than WOD.... WOD only had good mogs the content was pretty iffy. Also everyone getting a legendary felt very fair to me instead of having to deal with only 2 classes or two types of legendaries being present in the xpac.

It's cool I just wish this was for every old expansion instead of only Mists. Last time I levelled an alt I did Mists, which wasn't very long ago. So I just don't really feel up to playing through it again. I really love the idea though, just wanna see it in more expacks

I'm a relatively new player to WoW. I've only really ever completed Surumar and Kul Tiras-- haven't beat a single full expansion. No naturally fully leveled characters.. I like MoP Remix. But I don't have anything to compare it to. I've spent 15+ years hating and avoiding WoW (not Warcraft, I loved WC2 and WC3) because at the time of its release, I was balls deep in Star Wars Galaxies and watched as every guild I joined collapsed as everyone left to Azeroth. It did make me wealthy as hell as I inhereted all the credits and loot from these guilds, but eventually I was alone. I blamed the runaway success of WoW. I didn't touch WoW until 2008(ish) and played for maybe 2 hours and was bored, because the leveling/grinding was excruciatingly slow. I didn't get into WoW for myself until 2016 or 2017 when my brother bought me the base game and first sub-- played for a bit, got annoyed a few days later around level 32 (when level cap was over 100 something), stopped playing because brothers' server was PvP (Bleeding Hollow) and all my progress was stopped on my only day off by a max level Rogue near Booty Bay-- and more alliance players camping Booty Bay and killing quest NPCs. So, because of that, I stopped playing all together. I get the appeal when you have no responsibilities, but I only had 1 day to really enjoy it and make any progression, and it happened to be when the alliance players were out to ruin peoples' days. I came back around 2021, subbed for like 2 months and did the entirety of Surumar, most of BFA and unlocked most of the allied races. Had loads of fun. I just came back a couple days ago. Having loads of fun, thought I am having difficulty as a Mage at level 30. So you right, the scaling is a busted roller coaster. But I'm kinda downbad for WoW-- might be my new perma MMO (coming from SWTOR)

At some point in the video Asmon said that this was getting people hooked in for TWW, and damn he's right. I think this is a test for replacing the current new player experience in wow, since it does everything it needs to teach a new player how to PLAY the game to a decent level. The best part is, if it bombs then fans will mostly pass it off as an interesting event that didn't pan out. You start with massive bags, and everything you need is given to you. potions, healing, gear, gold, no repairs, and buff scrolls. Everything is there for you to use, and none of management that bogs a new player down like having to get better bags, or think about if they need to use this potion now or will they need it later. It gets you straight into gameplay. getting you to learn mechanics, learn about other class's abilities (and probably help many people find a class they enjoy through those abilities), experiment with gems, learn about raids, dungeons, scenarios, etc. Once you get higher level and have probably figured things out you start to run out of bag space will all the gems, so you want to store them. This helps direct people to looking for a way to store stuff since these can't be sold. The bank has minimal space, so you spend that useless gold on getting all the tabs, then at some point you find bags being sold by the bazar. now you've got a massive bank ready, which would normally be a big investment for a new player who doesn't know how to make gold. For veteran players, we get the fun of easy alts and being overpowered, along with the allure of being able to get those mounts and gear that either never drops for us or that we couldn't be bothered to farm for.

Does anyone know if you keep the rep you gain after the event is over? Like exalted with shado-pan for example?

I've bought 2 wow games and quit em both in 40 min because it was so slow, so Asmon is yet again very right.

Funny, I felt the same way. I played together with a friend and we got to level 15 or something. Then I had to take a break for a few days and I was not really looking forward to continue. I felt like the remix emphasized on the things I don't want to be bothered with: trying to figure out how to socket my gear with a thousand different options... ugh. But my friend started a different timewalking character and he kept telling me how fast he was leveling and telling me about the XP bonus on the coat that would transfer to other timewalking characters. So I started a guardian druid which I find is the fastest leveling character. The goal was to get through remix once quickly to get the XP bonus for the other characters I want to timewalk to 70 (I am a character collector, so to speak ;) ). Now I got to 55 with that druid really fast and it is so much fun. So, you are right, the fun starts at like level 30 or so and characters should be starting a bit stronger at the beginning.

I played from launch. Hated the last few expansions and switched to classic. Pandaria has hit a sweet spot for me, loving it.

The only reason the scaling felt bad for him is because it took him until like lvl 30 to realize he had sockets and could upgrade gear. Your scaling and power is insanely good if you know those simple things. I have a 39 Enhancement Shaman and I've basically been a god the entire time.

I've had a new mount and had an epic out of the quest crates, epic legs, so far so good and I'm only 20 odd lvl, easy play, best thing blizz have done in a while.

When it comes to the boxes - I just save up all of them and then open like 20 boxes and watch my cloak get a bunch of threads. Gives me that endorphin rush

Literally just get questclicks and add the bronze items, chests, etc. also get narcissus for gem ui. You never have to open bags except to equip gear. Use your scrolls like they are candy.

I didn’t even hit level 20 I got three rares and one epic just doing quests, and these were dropped off of mobs. I’m regularly getting abilities I think I have somewhere close to 10 now and I’m only just level 26. I’m actually working on several level three gems.

I’m gonna be honest. I like remix and would recommend it to old players. It made wow fun for me again and I feel like endgame dragon flight lack. My opinion probably unpopular

Some things I've noticed. Always replace your gear with higher ilvl gear. Even if the stat it gives isn't good. Every gem scales with your gear. The threads you've collected seems to just be the total of all the stats given by the buff. 100 stam = 100 threads, 20% xp bonus = 20 threads, etc. When you unlock higher starting stats on the cloak, if you already have another character made and the cloak equipped you need to re-equip the cloak for the increase to take place. It also only raises the stats up to the new starting stats. It will not improve past that. I have seen tinker gems that increase the same stat proc simultaneously and they appear to work multiplicatively. I had Enkindle proc and then while the shield was still up Windweaver procced as well. At that time I saw my haste go from ~23% with Enkindle to 77%.

I rhinj you should be able to combine pieces like the gems, or use them to reroll the stats

i got an epic chest from a mob at lvl 44 -> 25:24, plus gems can be upgraded to epic where thy will give secondary stat ::)

its crazy, one dungeon i was pulling everything other dungeon i died to dot from one mob who almost one shotted me with melee. But y the powers now that i am 70 do like 80% of my dmg maybe more, its crazy fun

the scaling was fine, you just had to remember to upgrade your gear, constantly, like every time you turn in quests and open a box.

So far it's been fun. I never played mists I quit during CATA

I've put in 50 hours so far since it was released and I'm loving it man. Got 2 characters to max level. Getting lots of transports without having to spam the raids 50 times and mounts without having to spam the raid for 5 years and pray on RNG. Its super fun, and fast. Doesn't feel like a chore. Idk why but Classic HC doesnt feel like a chore to me. But Retail does haha.

16:00 thats kinda what made me take a break. the leveling doesnt fell any faster (yet) than normal, im only level 25 but i work way too much and barely have any freetime. feels like im making almost no progress at some hours. gotta play it more though apparently so imma give it another try

He's bringing as many good points as he does bad ones because he has barely played but the leveling curve ''scaring'' people away is very true, the 20-40 felt A LOT worse than 40-70, some of those XP should be guaranteed on level up and the starting bonuses from the ''Infinite power XII'' should be higher.

I guess Nixxiom doesn’t realize that the loot crates give gems and you can keep combining 3 of the same gem into a stronger one so there actually is a point to open them. Funny how he says this alittle bit after Asmon says he’s good at the game

WoD+MoP= Best xpac ever? Yea i could see that. in the Aftermath of Garrosh the Alliance and Horde are still butting heads because Varian thinks he's better than the Horde, they feel second class. So the hunt for Garrosh becomes a competition between the two forces with some small clashes with the factions due to Vol Jin trying to cement power. Then go full Ham on the Legion Pre-amble? Yea that'd be legit. Heck the SoO could branch into a civil war with the people who miss how Garrosh ran things

I've really enjoying it at first it was hard when higher level players where one hit but with new gems made it so much easier lol.

Influencers whose life revolve around paid mods for World of Warcraft, hype up new thing World of Warcraft. 3 months later influencers say it wasn't that good. 3 months later "they are listening" "it's actually good" "i'm having fun" in a new hyped minimal effort rehash. Stop giving this company and influencers money if you want anything actually good. Game needs a reboot and the cycle needs to break.

leveling is very fast, at level 25 you should already be in mogushan vaults normal, every boss kill will give you 16% extra xp gain for your cloak, and every time you're high lvl enough to do a new raid you should instantly do it on normal for more %xp on cloak

The scaling is bananas. You lose a shitload of stats hitting 70 since you get them all from the leggo gems. They nerfed the only good cloak farm you can do. To do raids at 70 and not get roflstomped from the max lvl scaling ita going to take weeks to get good stats

Literally, I started WoW at Legion, BfA sucked, until last patch hit. That Patch was the best WoW time of my Life. Having these fast paste rotations, hitting 120% crit on my shadow after every voidform along with what feelt like a permanent Bloodlust, blasting through m+ like that, It was so fucking awesome. I didn't surivive Shadowlands, I quit.

The xp bonus on the cloak should've just been built in based on the thread power of it rather than being so reliant on the rng of it. Been leveling alongside a friend and I ended up having over 30% more xp bonus than her at one point.

Haven't hit 70 yet, because after going 10 to 60 in 8 hours, I've been stuck in 60-67 for 2 days. it's ridiculously broken. at 67 you're getting one-shot by non elite mobs with 4-5x your own HP, and your base dmg gives new meaning to the term "bullet sponge"

I love having Bronze be used for both gear upgrades to keep you from getting one-shot and/or actually performing your role capably as well as the fun stuff to buy that they actually promoted.

Level 9 is insane to me 😅 I doubt you can tell the difference between the olive A5 and an Australian wagyu when you prepare it like that

I have been enjoying it, it has sped up many classes I always wanted to play at max but were just too uninteresting in the early levels to keep me interested... And i wasn't buying a boost for a curiosity. I have a Warrior at 45, a rogue at 22 and a Priest i just started. I know some live those classes and disagree with me on them being boring in early game, to each his own. This has completely solved that for me as the mixing of abilities (even though tinker gems are a much weaker version of the source ability) makes it so free feeling to play aggressively and crush content. Raiding at 25 was interesting. Im not a Panda fan either, always thought pandas in WoW was completely pussy mode. I didn't play more than a week when it was current. So all this story line is new to me. (Still dont like the panda theme though) Still be fun

PSA use the Narcissus addon for easy gem and ability resocketing. makes this mode 10x more enjoyable.

Some of the best pvp was the first few updates while warlocks were awesome. Portals all over. I played rogue and this is when sub rogues were amazing as burst dps. People compare the sub rogue of now to mop still. Any time they reference subs being on top. It was mop. Mop was what Warlords should of been...could of been the best expansion just like asmon said

It is impossible to balance that many different gems and effects without immense amount of data. They are gathering that data now. I'm sure there will be adjustments made when they're ready to do that. It seems like you guys just can't get your mind around the fact that blizzard has righted the ship. Forget the haters - you can never make them happy. I am having an immense amount of fun in both remix and D4.

I tried Remix when i logged in to roam around on my veterans account (my main account but free to play lvl 20 chars). I saw it and tried it...... its funny as hell. 😂 I can only level to 20, but also have flying and dragonflight. I can only do scenarios and half of the dungeons but also in heroic. There are only 3 regions i can play, but no limit on my cloak. And that is the key: the cloak. Yes the sockets are powerful. But the cloak is what really makes you powerfull. With all the boost on primary and secondary stats its easy. Plus scaling.... the scaling is off...... waaaaaay off. I went into a heroic dungeon as a healer. The Tank was 68 and got 4 hitted before i could even react (he said each between 600k and 800k). My flasheal hit him with 1.4 million. So he pulled to much, got killed and i took over as a healer to facetank the boss, no problems. And since the characters DPS is scaled between fewer abilities and the NPCs scale down for me, i have few abbilities with massive damage. I mainly play druid in Remix. And chainrun dungeons as tank/heal. And as a tank, i don't even need a healer. 😂 I even went to the brewery just to test and entered heroic solo...... and blew through it in 10 mins max. The cloak is the real source of power. I am almos at the 4200 thread achievement.... in 3 days of playing. 😂

It's really fun, awesome way to get old players back into the new systems while feeling like a seasonal era, and everything rolls over into War Within. Still dunno if I'll buy the xpan but I'm enjoying wow for now in pandaria

I have all the time in the world i work few hours a week and i am a single guy that sits at home all day. I still got lvl 20 to get the phoenix and now I see the gems are not that exciting, they do pretty much nothing, class design and classes are all as in DF, mog looks ass, and its just the regular dungeon or questing spam. I see that ppl metagame farming frogs for bronze and I am out. So Nixxiom giving first impressions at lvl 20 is super valid to me. If it gets better then cool I might try.

Later i really hope for MoP Classic it was actually fun expansion :)
