Some extra points for thinking that “please” doesn’t have an exact translation in Finnish. “Ole kiltti” is sort of equivalent to the adverb of it. “Ole kiltti” can also be same as “be nice”... etc.

The ones you got wrong: leg is sääri (though Finnish sääri means the part from foot to knee, doesn't leg include the thigh too? Lyijy = lead, kynä as you know is any pen.. so it's a lead pen = pencil :) It's a crazy language for sure but those compound words are nice because you don't need to learn so many specific words. I would've liked to see your face at "kuulakärkikynä" ... of course that's easy if you know the parts: kuula = ball, kärki = tip/point, kynä = pen, so it's a ballpoint pen, surprisingly close to the English counterpart :) Others you weren't so sure about were oikea = right (also as in a right answer = oikea vastaus), vasen = left, jalka = foot, sääri = leg, nenä = nose, juna = train, laiva = ship. Great job anyways and entertaining as always :)
@crystal.matter

The "please" one was a hard one. Here it says "please" is "ole kiltti", which could work if you say "OLE KILTTI ja tuo se minulle" = "please bring it to me". Literally "ole kiltti" means "be nice". I would not say that to everyone. But since "please" don't really have word in finnish, there's so many ways to say please. Like "OLE HYVÄ ja sulje ovi" = "Please close the door". "Ole hyvä" literally "be good". And of course the most common one, "kiitos". "Vettä, kiitos" = "Water, please". I think "kiitos" is safest "please" word.

Your pronunciation is impressive!😃👍🏼 There basically isn’t a word for “please” in Finnish, so there are various other words and phrases used instead which fulfil the same purpose. I’d say “ole kiltti” (be kind/be so kind as to…) is a bit outdated as the only person I remember using it frequently was my grandmother. Nowadays if you just say “please” in English, basically everyone will understand you (which is what I say, as lived in the UK so long that it’s a tick by now). Another word that doesn’t have an exact equivalent is “have.” If you want to say “I have a car” you have to say “minulla on auto” (a car ’exists’ with me/I possess a car) or ”minä omistan auton” (I own a car). This was an interesting quiz. I wonder if there’s an equivalent one for Japanese. 🤔

Idea for a video. Next weekend at Raisio (near Turku) there is Eurotrial 2019-competition (9.-11.8.2019 ). It is about off road trial, European masters competition. If you like that kind of stuff, come and check it out.
