Great to see another Mii Brawler guide video from you, Gaegel! You make the best and most informative Mii Brawler guides, bar none. I’m gonna practice these slingshot methods myself. I’m extremely happy that I’ve picked up Mii Brawler as one of my tournament mains.
Glad I understood my character well enough to understand that slingshot doesn't help that much when I first saw the tech. I will have to try those instant pivot grabs though...
Thank you for this guide. I was also wondering if slingshot was useful for brawler but I was busy to try it myself. By the way, I wanted to know how you do your back airs. Mine aren't really good but yours are amazing and very accurate.
I shorthop by quickly tapping x, wait until I'm at the peak of the jump, tap down on the control stick to fastfall and press backair very shortly after that with the c-stick. I practiced it for a few minutes everyday for like a week, and that did the trick for me ^^ Although it's still really helpful to warmup before a tournament If you're talking about nair-bair combos though, then I use "attack-canceling" (there are multiple guides on this on youtube)

I'd love to but I'm very inexperienced with him, so I'd have to get a lot of help for that. Might do something about other Miis through collaborations though
I’ve mostly been using brawler slingshot to better follow up with up airs on plats. You can probably get similar if not better results with other tools but I find slingshot comfy to use.
1. Dash->Flick turnaround->jump->upsmash during jumpsquat (any method you like) 2. Dash->buffered (!) turnaround->pivotgrab on F1 of the turnaround. I'm not sure if the pivotgrab can be buffered as well, otherwhise it's just a timing thing 3. Not really
You know they DI in uptilt to avoid helikick death ex: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oxhMeLxdqn8.html; so you buffer instant dash turnaround jump from uptilt. Does a helikick connect now, or maybe it's just an IRAR uair and a helikick connects after? I don't know. A challenge for Brawler on non-platform stages is running out of stage to perform combo loops on, no? Can instant dash turnaround jump still get an aerial to connect but reverse the knockback direction to turnaround the direction of the combo to increase stage space?
Reverse aerials to combo into the other direction probably won't work, cause Brawler has to work with his aerial momentum fully going after the opponent a lot of times Turnaround helikick after uptilt might be something to look into tho, I'll keep it in mind
Wow, I guess fair will never be good then LOL. Really. Why is fair so bad. I expected slingshot to help a bit at best. But retreating shootout looks cool honestly.
True, I shouldve shown it as rising aerial - oh wait that doesnt hit compared to bair Then probably as antiair - oh wait people fall ouf of that Then I guess as a safe move on shield - oh wait, fair is -8 while bair is -6, and both of them can theoretically outspace link upB, but you can fastfall spam bair but can't fair because you have to delay the fastfall :/
