i have the honda 125. though i am looking to get a bigger bike, i love this to bits, its cheap easy for new riders. if you are looking for a nice looking runaround bike this is the one

British Empire Really does give you a feeling nothing else does mate! Can tell you every single one of us was scared shitless when we first started, as soon as you get your head around it it's all in your body really☺️ Like they say, feet and hands move a car.. your whole body moves a bike😌

In order to get on a motorcycle in the UK, the bare minimum you must do is complete a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course. With this one day course done, you are allowed to ride upto a 125cc bike with 15bhp BUT you must add L Plates, can’t carry passengers or go on the motorway. This expires after 2 years. In that time can do your theory test and full licence - alternatively people do the CBT again so they can just ride on L plates

jon kinnear2156 You don’t have to do the theory test beforehand, just need a good enough knowledge of the Highway Code. All sources I have seen say this, including my local training centre with whom I have recently done my CBT with as I’m now getting into motorcycles

@@VehicleValhalla oh my bad then, they don't really make it clear for anyone learning. i did my theory 1st now waiting to do the CBT next month, then plan on getting an A2 licence at some point.

jon kinnear2156 Ah ok no worries! I guess if you’re doing all the direct access full licence at once it makes sense to do the theory test beforehand so you can get more comfortable with it before your mod1/2.

premium fuel damages motorbike engine. only specific bikes are designed to use premium and 125s arent them

Zander Never heard anything about it damaging the engines of motorbikes? Will have to look up about that haha

Nah mate. Lesser grade fuel damages engines as they have a minimum RON. Having the odd couple litres of higher end fuel on fuel injected bikes helps flush out all the crap and contaminants from pipes and injectors. If you were running 100+ RON for a race bike, maybe you'd have issues.

I Don’t think it damages them but you’re probably wasting money buying high octane fuel. As you say the motorcycle doesn’t run better, you need a special engine for that. But some says that is just a myth as well.

If it’s not like 70 octane fuel your buying then you shouldn’t use it (its normally 95 where I live and premium 98 or higher)
