Yeah, but only like 10 points, which usually is not enough. Not to mention that sometimes those 10 points go to a stat that won’t even matter for most mons. Take Staraptor. It got 10 points in frickin Special Defense. Seriously? If those 10 points went to Speed, Staraptor would be in OU, easily. But no, it got 10 points in a stat that it wasn’t using to begin with. Another example is Wigglytuff, who got 10 points in Special Attack. Sure, that’s nice, but that’s not NEARLY enough. Either give it 20+ points in Sp. Atk or buff up its defenses so that its massive HP actually means something.
@@marzbar5877 Yeah especially when some of these buffed mons still have total BST's only in the mid 400's or less Wigglytuff for instance still has a measly 435 BST which is less than most intermediate stage Pokemon and on par with typical first route mons. I'd say it would be reasonable to give it say another +10 special attack, +30 Special Defense so it would be comparable to Clefable +20 defense, or if you want to keep it one dimensional defense wise, +20 attack to make it viable mixed since it actually has a good physical move pool.
Just spam iron head it always works for me since when I use iron head with Jirachi it will always flinch if they are not strong or weak against steel type moves.
I will never forget the foolish mistake of childhood me. Imagine getting an event Jirachi with Draco Meteor and then trading it for a Scizor and Flygon. Forever burnt into my memory.
I suggest we get a "HOW GOOD WERE THESE MONS AT GEN 7?", where you revisit every pokemon that you have analyzed already but only up to gen 6 (from charizard to jumpluff), making this video before Gen 8 comes out would be neat. Probably after VGC worlds is over (in a few days)
@@UltrabotUltimus Thats the point, Im suggesting him to take every pokemon from his first vid (charizard) all the way until Jumpluff, which was the last video that ignored Gen 7, in a single video where he quickly mentions how each one did in Gen 7.
I remember when the Jirachi event during the good ‘ol DPP days happened. My family was on vacation and I got my mom to take me to the outlets in the evening to the Gamestop to get it on each of my games and there were some college guys there for it. I thought it was cool to see non-kids into it and here I am years later as a soon to be college graduate, still obsessed with Pokemon. Good, simpler times.
@@dustin3294 Giratina got only 2 forms. Why FSG upload Pkmn with Megas which is considered as "secondary" forms. they only exclude things like Rotom and Arceus who has a lot of forms

Oof my flinch Jirachi is on my shield cartridge I gave back to my cousin since I was borrowing it and the worst part... it wasn’t in my boxes but in my party so I can’t transfer it into home
For those who noticed that every jirachi seemed to have 404 total hp, that’s for blissy and chansey. Seismic toss can only do 100 damage, so jirachi ran that much hp to make 101 hp substitutes.

Jirachi and Celebi are two of my favorite legendaries ever. They're just so interesting, and their legendary powers are actually really awesome so I'd want to catch them if they were real.

A very common gen 7 idea is Special Defense and HP with Wish and Stealth Rock. It has one really good passive ability to check a lot of mixed and Special Attack users in OU so you see it a good bit now because people like using U-Turn and Iron Head mixed with Wish and Protect or some Stealth Rock setting sets. This lets you work bulk into stopping a few good hard hitting Pokemon. Tapu Lele is a good Pokemon this kind of thing helps combat. Plus some people using the Healing Wish set idea with Special Defense and HP have a good stop gap to break down a Pokemon then heal your big hitter and turn the game around. Old Choice Scarf sets also work well as a cleaner but the better idea is some passive combo set.
Doom Desire is actually extremely powerful on the right Pokemon. Go search up CAP 26 Equilibra; it's a Pokemon that was built from the ground up to make use of that move.
Ever since the Bonus Disc, Jirachi has been my favorite Pokemon. After discovering how great he is in the meta, it has only made me love Jirachi more and more. Jirachi is truly the best Pokemon, adorable, powerful, and others may find the haxx annoying, but I love it.
