Hey Everyone, We should let you know that Piloswine and Mamoswine is being saved for a certain holiday next Month and is being made ahead of time because a majority of the crew is going to be on Winter Break. So....I guess vote for something else lol Thanks for reading!
smogon needs to develop 'regional tiers' which only allow pokemon in the regional pokedex. This would make it similar to every first vgc in tournaments for each generation.
top text A lot of UU pokemon are actually viable in OU, the only reason Haxorus is UU is because Kyurem-Black is OU. Chandelure is great with a specs set as well
Pidgeot is my all time favorite Pokemon. From the first time I saw it's sprite on some trainer in my first pokemon game ever (gold), I knew I had to have one. I rocked that game with my level 100 Pidgeot and little 10 year old me thought I was the coolest trainer ever.
It's my most fave Pokemon too, I remember jumping up and down back in 2004 when my Wartortle evolves into Blastoise and my Pidgeotto evolves into Pidgeot.
There is one bird who has been cursed since its inception. It has sat in the UU Ban List for every generation it has been in, the only Pokemon ever to be like this. So... How GOOD was Staraptor ACTUALLY?
Mega Pidegot is one of my favourite concepts for a Mega Evolution. What's that? Outclassed by practically every other Normal/Flying Pokémon as a physical attacker? Break that mold! Become a special attacker and create your own place! Don't just get better at what you do now, but completely reinvent yourself! This is the type of change I wanted to see from a Flygon Mega.
@@queeniefucker8686 No, they mentioned Dug's change in passing. They listed it among the factors causing his ability's ban, which created a domino effect. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. His downfall in gens 6 and 5 came shortly thereafter.
Dude, I'm running an alola persian that rips through a lot of the OU meta game, like Zygard, Landourous T, Garchomp, Mega Salamance, Gliscor, etc, as well as is a pretty decent support mon. Technician HP ice is the same as Ice Beam, and it BARELY outspeeds much of the heavy hitters who are 4X weak to it. That, plus fake out, parting shot, and Protect/U-turn/Knock-Off/Nasty Plot (it depends on how you want to run it) make it a better than expected Shia-Surprise-mon. It REQUIRES a Focus Sash to work, shockingly. Like, it's weird to say, but it's actually like a solid piece for my team, which is doing pretty okay on Showdown. I'm not saying it's GOOD, but it's better than people give it credit for. Folks sleepin on it like a kitty in the sun.
@@aganaom1712 Same! Persian has been my Favorite Pokemon ever since I got introduced to the games and series! So I really want Persian to be next as it means a lot to me you know? If you can could you please upvote other comments requesting Persian as this might just be our chance? Please and thank you 😸!
@@someeggplant Awesome! I'm glad Alolan Persian is working well for you! Like they say never judge a book by its cover (when it comes to its appearance, which many male fun of). My Persian in both Blue and Silver is excellent for me and when I had Emerald it was also a great team player! Can you upvote comments asking for Persian so that we can hopefully pull this off please? Thank you for telling us about your Persian 😸!
Sadly enough, Mega Pidgeot is no longer a top tier threat in gen 7 UU; this is due to recent metagame trends going against it for the most part. Now, it sits at B- on the UU Viability Rankings as a notable but niche threat due to the fact that the introduction of Zeraora into the tier as well as Bisharp being freed from UUBL establishes a metagame state where other megas, such as Mega Aerodactyl or Manectric, or flying types, such as Moltres or Togekiss, are much more preferred since they offer more defensive or general utility(an example would be mega aero's ability to pursuit trap stuff like celebi, non scarf nihilego, latias and gengar)/have a better overall matchup against the increasingly common spikestack/webs offense builds and presence of those pokemon in general. The work up stallbreaker set also faces stiff competition with many other stallbreakers, for example, Togekiss's nasty plot set since it is more consistent at stallbreaking(it can justify using flamethrower or aura sphere over heal bell to hit Stakataka or Mega Aggron/Steelix, amongst other things), and Lucario's nasty plot set, which has an arguably even stronger matchup against stall and a decent matchup against other playstyles since a +2 z-focus blast can even OHKO common mons on stall such as (mega)slowbro and tentacruel after some chip damage and has a good chance to straight up OHKO unaware Quagsire, and vacuum wave koes or severely damages common choice scarfers/faster pokemon such as Hydreigon, Krookodile, and Terrakion after a boost. Finally, the rise of Diancie and Rotom-Heat on builds doesn't do it any favors at all. Its usage hovers around 3.5%, so it may actually drop to RU in the near future(and likely will get quickbanned from there).
Mega Pidgeot's ability and stats are bananas, imagine if it had gotten more moves to abuse with No Guard like Focus Blast or Thunder, or even a more reliable Normal STAB like Hyper Voice or Boomburst.
sheer cold > fissure , no immunities , & machamp can't have both no guard & fissure , transferred pokemon are locked into their hidden abilities, which for machamp is steadfast , iirc you can get landorus with role play & fissure though, which can pair with mega pidgeon too
@@TheBiggestTofu but unfortunately, the fiery bird had too much fun in the sun and got its wings clipped from gen 7, why did it got it''s wings clipped, i''ll tell you, GALE WINGS.
"If only they would give Mega Evolutions to some other fan favorites" Preach. Seriously Flygon and Luxray amongst many others not getting Megas was just criminal.
@Jaffer55 it's different compared to all the people who want Persian, Piloswine/Mamoswine, and Muk. Just haven't seen ditto in the comments often Edit: meant weezing, but you get the idea
@@jaidencarvalho1761 Of course, I love Persian a whole lot, I know for a fact it isn't too strong in the competitive scene. But it'd be great to see a video on it!
It's been roaming in the comments for a while now. Always there, awaiting it's spotlight. But it's about time we find out: How *GOOD* was Persian *ACTUALLY?*
Pidgeot was the first pokemon I ever got to level 100. People sleep on Mega Pidgeot, but it's actually a very good pokemon if it's provided the right support.
Surely Fearow was a bit better than Pidgeot right? Since it got Drill peck too, so not as good as Dodrio. Fearow has to be better than Pidgeot, at least until mega.
Golem and Rhydon are pretty interchangeable up until the latter evolved into Rhyperior in gen4 and the former got it's alolan form in gen7. Apart from that, the only thing Golem really has over Rhydon is Explosion and Sucker Punch.
How good was Persain actually! Lets keep the gen 1 train a runnin please! For all yall who want Muk, Weezing, Ditto, Golem, Our Lord Helix(Omastar) Nidoqueen (yes, we actually didn't finish the royal couple) Butterfree, Beedrill, Kabutops, Sandslash, Kingler and Magikarp! Please vote together! Also, thank you FalseSwipeGaming for the premium quality weekly content. Everybody, please consider leaving a comment about the video and not just vote, (I feel like more people may vote for what they actually want, and not just will already win, if it takes a long time to scroll to see the voting comments)
"Ash released Pidgeot like all his good Pokemon." *proceeds to talk on how bad Pidgeot was for the greater portion of its existence* ...Oh, uh, how good was Persian actually?
Yes for Persian! Please upvote any comments you find requesting Persian as we might be able to pull this off and then maybe get Jynx and Golem to follow :-)!
