I sit at the top of a mountain road, on my way home. I stop and listen to this song, it helps me get through the stresses of the day. Sometime in early April of 2017, my Pop was sick and in a lot of pain. My Nonnie called and asked me to try singing to him. He relaxed enough to fall asleep after I sang How Great Thou Art 3 times at his request. It became a special song for us. On June 10, 2018, I sang How Great Thou Art to him over the phone as he was ushered into the presence of our Lord and Savior and reunited with his bride. He took his last breath as I sang the verse "When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and take me home what joy shall fill my heart. Then, I shall bow in humble adoration and there proclaim "My God How Great Thou Art!" This will always be such a special song for my family but even more so now imagining my Pop entering Heaven while this verse was sung. Thank you, Anthem Lights!

The lyrics say when Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and take me home what joy shall fill my heart, that is Jesus second coming, with a great sound of a trumpet and the dead in Christ will rise first and he will take us home to heaven as the lyrics say. One of my mom's favorite hymns. She used to sing it around the house all the time. Today marks two years since she went to be with our Lord. Every time I hear this I let the tears flow and look forward to the day I can hear her sing it again. You guys are amazing.

My father passed away May 11th. We were not able to have a funeral service for him, because of COVID. We are finally able to have a small church service in celebration of his life on Sept 19th. My Mom, my 3 siblings, his grandchildren and spouses, will be singing along with this medley, at the conclusion of the mass. Im hoping we are able to harmonize with you. I think this version is absolutely beautiful. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

My grandmother absolutley loves this song. Wish we could have you guys sing this at her funeral as she will be taken off life support today. We sang this at our Church today, And I was thinking of this song ,but then , I can't seem to remember, and I was thinking like: what was that song again?? Then my mom told me "pray" and I was like "????" Then before I go to sleep , I prayed . After praying to the Lord, I am already singing this song. And I praise the Lord. I learned a lot from this experience. Just want to share. I don't usually say this, and I don't know why I'm doing this. Maybe God wants to say something to you.
