How Great Thou Art - piano instrumental hymn 

This song bring back one memory that I will never forget. One evening back in the mid 90's, our choir was singing this during the evening service. About the time we begin to sing, a thunderstorm started outside. Just as we sang "I hear the rolling thunder" a loud rolling thunder clap hit. The congregation was awed, you could see it in their faces. It could not have been timed better by a gifted choir director. I am convinced to this day that that was God letting us know he was listening. None of us have ever forgotten that moment.

Its hard to find a church that still does these great tunes.

I'm going through a spiritual battle once again. Just before I started praying I immediately thought of this song. How great He is. Words can't describe. I'd like to ask for prayers. I could use them. Even from strangers.

I cannot imagine the greatness of our God. It is too much for me. When I see the sun rise and set each day or hear birds singing, I think of our maker. His ways are higher than ours, but I am so glad He loves us so much. When I hear Kaleb play this song on the piano, I am reminded of how great God is with every note played. I thank God for the talent that He has given Kaleb and that Kaleb is using this talent to honor and glorify God.

Dad chose all the music for his funeral and this was one of the hymns he chose.

I am a pianist and sometimes it is beautiful to sit and listen to someone play. I like the calmness in your playing. May God continue to bless your hands.

This in one of my favorite hymns because is puts me in a place of reverence to God for what He's already done. Bro. Kaleb, "Thank You, for allowing God to use your talent so well." You beautiful playing of the hymns brings peace and has allowed me to put them back into our worship services. The seniors are enjoying them and get a chance to sing along, but the young adults and youth have begin learning the words of this powerful music as well. This hymn is one of my favorites. I love to sing it when hiking in northern Utah as I am surrounded by God's great creation!

oh how lovely this song is. my dad passed summer 2017. we played this at the end of his funeral. He loved this song. aaaaw he would belt it out in church when we sang it. lovely memory of dad.

My late nephew loved this song he passed away on my birthday in 2022 at the age of 17 . He would have graduated this year . He called me mom more often then not his mom died when he was 8 months old.

I grew up in a broken home. my parents were alcoholics.. but my dad was worse~ as a child, being exposed to that, saddened me because I would be up alone in the morning while they’re passed out on the ground/somewhere in the house. lots of times I would even be with them while they drink because I didn’t want to be alone, I would hide cigarettes and alcohol for them so they could stay up with me. during those times when I was alone I’d cryfor my grandparents, I would call them to pick me up because I didn’t want to be there. my dad always needed a fix. everyday, my mom didn’t like him doing that because there was times where he went to the hospital.. so he’d leave her ..longest was a year~ I missed my dad. my grand parents are Jesus name christians, they would take me to church and they’d tell me to pray with them for my parents to be saved and to stop drinking.. to change. me, my auntie, and grandparents kept praying and praying hard for them, and at age 11 my mom came to the lord ..even she, thought my dad would leave her because she thought he wouldn’t change. but my dad was saved not long after. I am now 16, me and my parents, both jesus name christians.. serving the lord together~ with my auntie and my grandparents.. Jesus heard our prayers, what a blessing! It truly takes Jesus to make a house a Home. Acts 2:38. my testimony ♥️

One of my favorites of old hymns! It ministered to me at a very early age of 11. That time that I accepted JESUS CHRIST as my LORD and Personal SAVIOR. I got saved and followed Him in water baptism. This will also be a very memorable hymn as this is a favorite song as well of my late Father who sung it in our beloved Baptist Bible Church Sta Mesa before he died from a ruthless and heartless assailant of his. My father is a cab driver and was held up and killed by a gunman ( his passenger ) in his taxicab way back 1979 :((
