That was just fab, thank you! Lovely seeing it with snow on mountains. Done that journey many times now and cannot wait for June when I will be doing it again.

Nice to see the beautiful country side again my wife and I drove the road your on when we stayed on a site just outside of Elgin many years ago take care looking forward to the rest of your travels
Drove this road in the summer and I don't know about Rob but as a driver I did wonder how I managed to stay on the road with all that stunning scenery to look at. Never, ever think anything you do is boring. It's brilliant x
Hi Rob and Lynn I forgot to say that place you were at a few weeks ago in Bishupton is about 20 minutes from my house I live in a village called Elderslie it is the birth place of Sir William Wallace if I wasn't working I would have popped over for a cuppa 😢
Great vlog guys the scenery is amazing and a beautiful place even this time of year. Hope you are enjoying yourselves and keeping warm. Rob the cap is looking good glad you like it 👍xxx
Good evening, Lovely vlog and scenery, Glad you found a nice park up, can't wait for the next vlog to have a look, hopefully you will be a foot deep in snow 😊. Take care on your journey. Paul and Joanne 👍 ❄️
We went to Tyndrum when my kids were young, Mr music owned the site it was only small ..but oh my the midges in summer were horrendous. My grandparents and Dad came from The Trossochs, loch Lomond I just love Scotland. When we had our caravan we went right up to Durness at the top amazing...so enjoying you bringing back memories xxxxx enjoy 😊
I never tire of seeing those views, it’s absolutely stunning and breathtaking, a beautiful wilderness, The Isle of Skye is unbelievable also, and yes it is sometimes difficult to find park ups, glad you are having a great adventure up here in Scotland 🏴, Best wishes as always, Bruce and linda 😎.
Don’t think you’re boring showing Scotland. In fact more please with lovely backing music :) Can’t get enough of the views as you drive around our favorite place. Lynn don’t be afraid of wild camp ups. Some of our best nights ever have been little spots we have found. Bliss Get yourselves over the Outer Hebrides it’s perfection over there, especially in Autumn x
Aww thank you, I do worry about people getting bored, although we never get tired of it all, I’m always worried about something 🙈🙈 But seriously wait until you see our New Year’s Eve park up, it was awesome !!!! Hopefully we will, it’s definitely somewhere we want to visit x
Loving these vlogs of Scotland, amazing scenery you would never get bored of seeing I can see a September journey being planned soon 👌 Looking forward to the next vlog 🤗
Hi and thank you, it really is absolutely amazing, we will never get bored of Scotland 🏴 I think so for us too, we’d love to see it when the trees are green and after the midges are gone 🤣 Oh our park up on the next one is awesome 🤩
Actually, Lynn, Lidl do quite a nice malt whisky; Benbrachan I think it's called and there's another one too. Hope the rest of your trip goes well. Loving the scenery, being an expat Scot!
Hi Rob and Lynn thanks for the lovely reply you sent me ,if you have time and the roads are not to busy, try the east coast and visit Brora in the Highlands and surrounding areas i used to live there as well ,thanks again xxme
Another great vlog, it is amazing how I am having similar problems finding park up on the Med coast in Spain. So many of the free stop over sites have had height bars at 2.1M put in to stop motorhomes from parking. The whole coast is rammed with motorhomes from throughout Europe, even from Iceland! Rob, I have to correct you on Speen Bridge, it is for all Commando Forces, Army and Royal Marines. There were only Army Commandos for the first 18 months of their being raised by order of Churchill. There are still some Army Commandos that serve with 3 Cdo Bde.
Hi Neil and thank you ☺️ It’s seems to be getting harder, I really don’t know how people do it when they are full time Aww we stand corrected, thank you for enlightening us 😊
Beautiful pictures nice to follow your Chanel , we are from Sweden and in future want to travel England and Skottland . Today we have very cold weather 20 - ❄️❄️😅
Hi and yes it really was, aww I picked that for him 🤭 Thank you, I’m not sure if it’s the heating, the altitude or a cold 🤷🏼♀️ Happy new year to you too xx
Happy New Year 🥳 Rob and Lynn Another great video thank you so much. Never be worried about showing us the beautiful scenery, I am sure I speak for all, how could you ever be tired of that? It’s just breathtaking 😅 I am glad you found a park for the night to hunker down.. I am sure we went to that little village where you saw the Lochs, I remember getting a sausage roll at that service station, while the rest went up to the Lochs 😊😊 Lynn I hope you are feeling better, I pray you are not getting sick.. Feet up and let Rob wait on you for a change 😬😬😬😬 Can’t wait for the next video. Keep warm and lots of love 💜💜💜🏴🏴🏴🏴
Hi Vicki and happy new year Scotland 🏴 is stunning isn’t it we can’t get enough of it 👍 lynns feeling a lot better now thankfully well she’s not nagging me as much anyway 😂😂 it’s a good job she’s got me to look after her 👍
I will give you both a free night @ Tibbie Shiels Inn campsite just to see & meet and greet you both 😁 & talk about our similar Motorhomes & upgrades etc ❤ St Mary's Loch & Grey Mares Tail & Meggget dam is A Must & bypassed by many👍🏻 Tibbie Shiels Inn is Very Historical with many famous poets that frequented here.
Happy holidays. Could be your lucky night Rob. Stunning stuff. Oh yeah, we live on the Costa del Sol and on the grass verges we have, wild boar. Those pictures when you were out in the wind, hilarious 😂.
Scotland is a welcoming place for visitors like yourselves who treat the countryside with respect but the "wild camping" thing is always a bone of contention. It doesn't include random overnight parking for vehicles but was originally intended for hill walkers and the like who couldn't reasonably get home in the middle of a hike which took them into the mountains for more than a single day. Cameron McNeish, a fellow motor homer and mountaineer, has some very informative RU-vid videos on the subject. Well worth a look to give you the legal standpoint. Welcome to our country and safe journey.
Hi and thank you for clearing that up as we wouldn’t want to upset anyone, we are always respectful as I hope are most motorhomers, but sadly you will always find ones that spoil it by being disrespectful. Oh and thank you we will have a look at that Take care and thank you again for explaining it all 😊😊
What a lovely area, it looked a bit more wild than when we went through in the summer 😊 the mountains look lovely with the snow caps. They looked like nice stops. Can’t whack a 16A hookup and stop over for £20 can you. Looks like a great start to 2024! Enjoy the rest of your trip, David & Rachel 👍❤️
Hi both and yes it’s stunning, simply breathtaking, You really can’t whack it, especially when some sites are charging £40 plus for the same thing 😳😳 Take care both, hope to see you both soon x
😮 how can you say that 😢 you never bore me, I always enjoy your twos vlogs, & look at them mountains, wow it's stunning, Rob annoying 😮 would never have believed that for one minute 😂😂 you are absolutely unbelievable Robert, be nice to your wife 😁. I'd love to make the journey to Scotland to see my other two sisters but in a caravan makes me anxious 😰 motorhome would be ideal, the views in Scotland are amazing, fantastic vlog as always, awesome ❤🎉 happy new year & all the very best wishes for 2024 🥂🍾🌹❣️ keep up with these fantastic vlogs 🙏🏼 you two are absolutely awesome ❤
Guys, I live in the Highlands, 6 miles from Castle Roy. I was part of a party sewing wildflowers there in October. How did you miss the campervan parking in Fort Augustus: up the east side of the canal at the top lock is an official area.
Glad you are still getting to move around. See when you are heading home I'd suggest maybe try going East from Inverness and down past Aberdeen to Perth route. There is some lovely small fishing villages all the way down the coast to Aberdeen. It's a different route than back down the A9. Enjoy your holidays folks 👍
@RobandLynnontour You're most welcome. It'll add half a day or so onto your travel but worth it. Lots of campsites for Lynn too 😂. Inverness to Aberdeen is around 2 and half hour in the motor home then 1hr 45 or so Aberdeen to Perth. Safe travels and Enjoy Scotland folks 👍
Lidl whiskey, the single malt one, comes from various distilleries in Scotland and they give it their own name. It is actually a really good seller for the price
Yes it's stunning we have been going to Tomavillian for the last 7 years in September for our holidays & staying at Easter Corrie cottages but this September we are taking our newly acquired caravan Bonnie & touring for 3wks 😊
Another great free & seculded park up overnight, Thornylee Forest, in-between Innerleithen & Galashiels & a beautiful drive from Moffat Via Tibbie Shiels Inn & Peebles Town which is also ❤ beautiful
Thanks for sharing this it’s my most favourite place on earth Glencoe ❤ when you were on the A82 you should’ve drove to Arisaig, Traigh and Mallaig it is stunning scenery and then got the ferry to Skye 😊
There is a couple of park up in fort Augustus you need go towards stonelaig wind farm and follow your nose and you will come across them, I do envy you 2 enjoy it. Stop at the view point for Loch Ness. It’s a beautiful view.🎉
Yes it’s lovely up on that coast bit, I have a cottage in portknockie that’s been in the family for 60 years, and spend Easter and I try to 2 weeks in the motorhome up the west side around the moray side and back down towards Aberdeen, I just love Scotland.
@@RobandLynnontour yes I’m behind , head up towards Elgin and Banff or are you passed there, Fochabers is a Bonny place but where ever you are it’s all stunning, roll on June when the wife and I will be do the exact journey, take care drive safe.
Loving your travels around Scotland its on my list along with Ireland to go see.saving my pennies for the trip as being from Australia it isn’t cheap to get there etc. Happy Holidays 😊
Thank you 👍 Ireland is on our list too it’s definitely not going to be cheap from Australia but it would be worth while thanks for your comment and happy new year 👍
Hi Rob and Lynn That lay by u stopped in had a burger van for years I dont think it's there now but in my travels delivering to morrisons in fort William I would stop there and see stats that would actually come to that lay by and became a bit of a tourist attraction themselves but they hav also ceased to be there these days Happy Holidays for the rest of ur trip William
I have been home in Scotland since July last year from America. You guys are actually doing the exact same trip as we did. We are now in Drymen and have been for New Years . Leave soon as my hubby's 6 months are up being American he is only allowed to stay 6 months. Heading to Republic of Ireland next. 😀
You are so lucky to call Scotland your home, it’s amazing, We had the best park up ever for New Year’s Eve 🥰🥰 It’s rubbish isn’t it that an American citizen can only stop 6 months, Enjoy Ireland, we really want to go there soon Take care 😊😊
@@RobandLynnontour Thank you for that. I just don't get it. They seem to not want people who can support themselves these days and want people who can't instead. A friend said to me the other just drop Matt off in France and tow him to Dunginess in Dingy and all will be okay. God she made me laugh.🤣🤣
Another great video From you pair. BUT! You did say at the start of your vlog. That scotland never fails to disappoint🤦♂️ a slip of the tongue I know but not something a Scotsman likes to hear. 🤣🤣 enjoy the rest of your trip round this stunning country.
Gonna be a bit cynical here. On way to Fort William Lynn says it never fails to disappoint. 😢 I hate disappointment too. It never fails to impress! Double negative 😊 Sorry guys! Going full time in May. Have a great 2024 and thanks for all the videos, hints and tips! Won’t be having any of those Chucky dolls watching over me while I sleep though. 😊😊
Hi Scotland is amazing and like Lynn said it never fails to disappoint 😂 the doll is a long story 👍thank you so much for watching and taking the time to write your comment 👍
Hi guys, are you updating park for night and search for sites. We just come back from glenco /Augustus and loads of park ups out in the sticks suitable for the bus.
At 4.20 you talk about "wild camping" & it's legality in Scotland, to clarify the situation, The Scottish Outdoor Access Code does allow wild camping in tents but it specifically excludes motorised activity. Therefore to park off road without the landowner's permission is a criminal offence as per The Trespass Scotland Act 1865. You mention that some Scots "don't like", this is because in many cases it is illegal & this common misconception is causing major environmental problems. Safe travels.
Hi again Rob , Lynn I am going to send you an email of what I use to find off grid park ups it may be of some use to you , Happy Bloody Scottish Holidays ya can`t wack it :)
It looks like we missed lots of fantastic places to stop, but hey ho, we will know for next time, definitely the best time for the views with few people 😊😊
