I went to SFAS back in the early 2000s. I did great with the physical fitness challenges, but I didn't pass because of the STAR land navigation course which was an instant elimination back then. The course was about five land navigation points spread out covering between 2 and 13km’s per point while carrying a dummy rifle and a heavy load of equipment on your back. And I went in the Summer time when the vegetation was the worst. I am usually good at land nav but that course was a nightmare. Plus I ended up getting stung on my throat by a giant wasp while carrying all of that heavy equipment through thick brush, it was one of the worst days of my life outside of combat deployments. I am not sure if SFAS still has the STAR course these days.
What do you do when you made it through selection but wasn’t selected. Told to be counseled but left without the 1SG counseling me. I got a call from my European SF Recruiter called me 2 weeks after I got back and said the Commandant asked for me to come back next class. I couldn’t because my heels had no skin left and my Dad passed and my wife found her new man haha. Has this happen to anyone else.
It's not that hard it's all about if ya got the heart not to give up I rather have one who gone push until he brake down than to have one that gone just fold when ahit get hard
@@Kumar-ez6mdLMFAOOOO! Homie you better be doing sub 2:30 with 65LB or heavier ruck! Not just that but do that ruck and be ready to go hit the next event with the same intensity!
