There are always pros and cons no matter where we live but there is an option in life. My relatives have their personal driver and housekeeper for about $150 to $200 per month each. Be kind, be cool, and don't comb your hair. Great updates as always from Itchy Feet on the move!

Also, you're right about money being important there at the end of your video. In the Anglosphere, it's common to hear people (usually people who have enough money) saying, "Money isn't important." Of course, money is important, and those people are lying to you and themselves. It's refreshing that in these Southeast Asian cultures, people just culturally come right out and state that money is, in fact, a super important resource. Why lie to yourself about this? I don't get it.
When people say money isn't important, they are likely referring to life or other resources being more valuable than money. That's one of many problems with catch all, over generalizing comments. They are often (see what I did there lol) incorrect or inaccurate.
I feel like Cambodia is a great place to lose your western identity & find yourself again with more meaning. That’s a reason m planning to move there next year. Let me know if you find a way to make money from a laptop overseas 😮
There are hundreds of ways to make money from a laptop! Developer, etc. Any time you live as an expat, it's going to be a place to find yourself again, "with more meaning" would be purely subjective and about perspective, and a fresh perspective you shall surely have.
I'm cambo born and raised down under, supermarket grocery in cambodia seems pretty expensive considering the wages assuming that majority of the shelf is imported
#MONEY#EXPAT#NOBLABLA in general, Cambodians consider expatriates to be privileged. on the other hand few Cambodian families can afford to go shopping in this type of supermarket, only a small percentage of the population can afford it....FACT!
hi: two questions. can you drink the water from faucet in Cambodia? 2. in one of your videos, you showed a river like raw sewage. I can't imagine the smell. how is the sewage treated in Cambodia? is it dumped in the rivers and ocean?
I was just reading about this today. Some people say that if you aren't in a really old building, and it doesn't use a water tank on the roof to supplement the water, then you can drink the tap water in Phnom Penh. I don't want to risk it though. I'm not sure about the sewage.
I’m Cambodian but prefer to call Khmer. I can help to answer those questions: 1. It depend on area and some building like Ryan said. The majority of home and building in Phnom Penh has access to clean water and like my area where I live now I’ve tried drink it for months and do not get any problem at all (or maybe not yet?). But I prefer using water purifier then boil it for drink. 2. We have 3 rivers with different name such as Tonle Sap, Tonle Bassac, Tonle Mekong. This season is a flooding season which mean there are lot of rains and that bring the water level up with high density of sendiment making the water of the river look muddy with some musty smell. Generally, it’s no problem with that smell. But if you refer to sewage canal then yes that’s quite smelly.
