RU-vid isn't designed to help small accounts. It's meant for big accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers because they bring in ad money for RU-vid corporation.
I’m a creator and make videos for multiple different creators and I can 100% tell you this isn’t true. I have accounts where we use a lot of hashtags and they get 200k-7million views and i have a creator with which I only use 3 hashtags per post and they do the same numbers. It depends on how good your content is, if it’s good it’s good and going to reach millions of people.
This is the same guy who told me to just delete my Instagram because I was shadowbanned and there’s nothing I can do about it.. 2 years later, I’m not shadowbanned and that account is now at 968k. If I listened to him idk where I’d be 🤦🏾♂️😆
'Don't use the same hashtags over and over." Ok, so say you have a dog grooming business, how many appropriate hashtags could there actually be for such a narrow niche?
keep a catalogue of a bunch of hashtags, popular ones and more specific or niche one. For each post use a few popular ones and then a few niche ones and switch them out for each post. so dog groomer, dogs, dog lovers and then lion cut, poodle cut, the name of a popular tool you use.
I don't buy that spam is why they stopped using hashtags. I've had a lot more spammers try to add me since they took away the hashtags. I think they just prefer having the entire experience curated by the algorithm. There are almost zero ways for people to find accounts organically/on their own. The ENTIRE experience is now curated by the algorithm.
This is so damn true. They like to fix things that from a user perspective where beneficial leading to Instagram being worse not better, unless you want to be able to shove more ads in front of people and screw over content creators.
I totally believe the 5 hashtag limit thing because the instagram boss man said during a podcast that he doesn't like hashtags and they dont work. Its a money thing, these owners want us to pay to play. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 (old man input incoming) I remember in the beginning of instagram, The algorithm was so open your post would get seen by thousands of viewers in just a few minutes. Then Mark Z came along and changed everything to pay to play. Now all these social media platforms are starting to follow that model.
Thanks for sharing these insights. I’ll start posting less hashtags. We use to tend who does best in our industry and if they use hashtags we end up doing the same but it doesn’t mean that’s the best strategy!
Julian's findings on Instagram hashtags are quite illuminating! 🌟 It's crucial for content creators to focus on quality and relevance rather than quantity of hashtags, as this could significantly impact the reach and engagement of their posts.
What you said about resetting everything with posting without hashtags for a while...This happened to me a looooong time ago, but one year I went from using all 30 hashtags to using about 5-10 for months. And then one day I decided to start using 20-30 again and my views went up like never before. Unfortunately that lasted for about 1-2 months and then stopped. :D
I’ve listened to this video earlier today. Prepared and posted a reel in the following hours, this was my eleventh reel on my account. I had always put hashtags but this time I didn’t. I was getting between 10-400 views on my prior reels. This time I got 2700 views ! With decent engagement. Coincidence ? True success factor ? It does seem like my content was shown more because the hashtags didn’t "limit" the audience. Also, I took the time to check the accounts of thoses who liked my reel ❤ and I could see that they are mostly my ideal audience, people that love EDM music/DJ content. That impressed me considering the absence of hashtags. I will say the composition of my reels is getting better each time - and per the result I’d deduce that this one was much better (but realistically not a world of difference, it’s only my eleventh reel). I’ll try again. Thanks for the knowledge ! ❤
How's your account doing my friend? Are you still using that strategy? My most successful reel has only 700 and sum reach, and I used hashtags, however, I find it too low.
@@AutoDecorHub I haven’t posted a lot recently because my music is still at a hobby stage, my main business take up a lot of my time (no excuses,I should keep it up). The reel I was referring to in my initial comment with 2700 views went to 4800 views, and I used the same strategy (no hashtags at all) on the following post, got 2200 views. Good results ! I’ll keep doing that. I’m not trying to give advice but I will mention that I’ve properly curated my feed from the beginning when I created my IG account and identified my page subject. I made posts regarding DJing, I only follow other DJ pages and EDM music related pages. I made my first few posts by using hashtags. THEN I tried without hashtags. I think that’s the good way to start. I don’t know what results one could expect if he doesn’t do thoses things beforehand, and putting no hashtags on his posts without prior "positioning" or "subject identification", for a lack of better words.
@@AutoDecorHub I’ll admit I haven’t been posting much since then but yes it did seem to work. The post I was referring to at 2700 views continued on, went to 4800, and another post right after did 2200
Hashtags were never dependable for Instagram content creators. This guy and others just made videos fronting like they did to build their RU-vid channels. Manipulative people like him, knows the average viewer over here will never truly build a following so they tell you anything because they know you’re going to comeback for BS advice. It’s smart I must say but one day, karma will have the last word.
So, would using 'keywords' instead of hashtags work better in this case? Because if I don't use hashtags - I may not get to my target audience. If instead of hashtags I just used plain words that relate to my niche - would that work better?
I wish I had listened that niche specific is king. You can have 21M views for funny meme, but it kills the rest of the views on your other videos. I chose views over quality. That video continues to get views, but the rest of them are lucky to get 100 likes. Lesson learned 😢
"Hashtags are dead" is a prevalent myth. In fact, in today's digital landscape, strategic hashtag usage remains a powerful tool for enhancing content visibility and engagement. Incorporating SEO keywords as hashtags across various formats is indeed a game-changer. It not only boosts discoverability but also ensures that our content resonates with the right audience. By aligning our hashtags with trending topics and industry-specific keywords, we can maximize our reach and drive meaningful interactions. However, it's crucial to strike a balance and avoid overloading our content with hashtags. Quality over quantity is key!✨️
Hey Dominic. Been binge watching your vids. I’m 47 and trying my hardest to not just learn social media but to catch up. Have any advice for a real estate firm?
Anyone else experiencing getting 0 reach on posts beside from people finding them on hashtags. Not that it’s a lot of people only like 4 but I don’t think it’s meant to happen.
Do you recommend not using hashtags in the next 4-6 Reels or feed posts, too? Hashtags still give me reach (sometimes better than anything else) on my photo posts, but when it comes to reels, we don't have that data, so I don't know if they are doing anything for me.
I have a fan account on instagram and I just hit 10k and I had a few posts with 2 hashtags perform well and I had a few post with the same hashtags that bombed. But I’m gonna use this strategy and see what happens.
Update: I made 3 posts without hashtags and I got a lot of views and engagement. When I did add hashtags I got a lot of engagement. So it depends on what the content is
Hey Dominik, Instagramer with over 30k followers here. I tried not using hashtags for a week on 6 posts. The number of likes was mixed results but the overall number of accounts reached HALVED. Great channel btw & one of the reasons I’m at 30k is because I listened and did everything you said in your RU-vid vids. 😊
Dang, I was going to start a theme page but start with other peoples content first to attract women to my audience for when I actually start my business in the future 😭
any advice on how to get text verification codes to work, the number's not blocked on my phone. Lost my personal account due to this and can't even get signed up for a new one....no codes 🙄 Scared it happens to my business account too.
@@etano1701meh couldn’t tell a difference, shortly after IG changed their algorithm again and my reached dropped hugely, so hard to tell what works tbh
