You can by at any gunsmith after doing the "Visiting Hours" mission in Chapter 6 when you get John out of prison. So there's actually still quite a bit of story left.
The only reason I'd ever get one in real life is if there's a good deal for it because I really do like different types of shotguns. I got a Remington 870 and a Mossberg 500 and I like using both for different reasons. Might even get a side by side pretty soon. Shotguns are just so fun to use.
I prefer the aesthetics of the lever-action to the pump all day. I just wish that they didn't hide it behind being in Chapter 6, especially since the pump is generally a better "all purpose shotgun". Just a very strange case of balancing here.
Why do you post part 2 before part 1? Also for John in the epilogue I mainly just have His revolver, Lancaster that looks like his, and a Schofield. I’ll use that for my both good and bad honor save files although I have one more safe file where I just play the game by the story, no free roaming, no buying anything, not even get horse treats I just like making my self suffer, but ranting out the way my loadout for this save file John’s cattleman, Schofield, Lancaster, and repeating shotgun. Same stuff he had in Jim Milton rides, again?
