Hi friends! In today's video, I go over how I've saved over $40,000 at 20 years old :)
👩🏻‍💻 About Me
I’m a 20-year-old senior year nursing student living at home while working part time. I’m currently focused on investing and saving as much as I possibly can while living a "rich life."

This is a great video on how to avoid unnecessary costs. However, the title promises info on how you get 40k. Even at zero costs, you need some sort of income to get to 40k. With a full time job it still takes years to save 40k, so how did you do it while studying?

That's a fair point! I've made about $12,000 to $15,000 per year during college and worked part-time during high school. I've basically saved most of the money I've made and received throughout my life.

Wonderful video & your advice is 100% true! I turned 21 this year & I have been able to reach almost $45k in total liquid assets, solely from working part-time at a restaurant since I was 16. I’m entering my senior year of college, still living with my parents, and working ~25 hours a week while earning a B.S. in biology & a B.S. in chemistry. Since I go to a smaller, local 4-year university, scholarships have allowed me to pay

Wow this is truly inspiring! I just watched like 8 of your videos that caught my attention, subscribing rn. I myself have been blessed similarly as my parents have provided for me, at my 24 years old still live with them, took care of my college, now I work and have good income and quit social media in february. Also being mindful about my savings, investments, future and the why I am doing this. Seeing myself in a similar path as you and seeing such success is bringing me life. Thank you for sharing this!

It will only get easier from here and most likely your savings will only grow exponentially from here! Once you’re able to spend money to save money it just snowballs. (Like upgrading from a junky car to a more reliable car that won’t need expensive repairs constantly) I had about 35k when I was your age, now I’m 22 and reaching 150k. If you play your cards right it will only grow exponentially from here. I also live with my parents (contribute 500 each months and pay all my own bills except groceries). Never went to college, worked minimum wage jobs since I was 14 and applied to MANY jobs while everyone was hiring in 2020 until I got a high income job. I’d recommend starting with simple investing like a high interest savings account or a GIC

Hello, I am Sambhu from India. I used to do RU-vid and blogging, but unfortunately, I wasn't successful. I have 5-6 years of experience in RU-vid because I started during COVID-19. However, I couldn't continue due to my studies, which is why I didn't achieve success. I am interested in business, analysis, problem-solving, planning, research, design, motivation, art, and reading books. I would like to work with you because I believe that by working together, I can improve my English skills. This will help me read English books without difficulty and gain more knowledge. You know how beneficial it is to work in a team compared to working alone .

Thats awesome keep up the good work. I had this money saved too when i was your age now im thirty life happened and i stopped paying my credit card off and ran through my savings quickly. I am now 20k in debt but working it down again. If i gad it to do over again i wouldve ripped the credit cards up the first sign of hard times and put my savings in cash under my mattress and acted like i didnt have any money to pay my debtors. Just something i wished i wouldve done figured id pass it on to younger people who may be facing hard times.

Well you ever go over income minus expenses because that is usually the reason saving is even possible.... Yeah I always tell people I can show you my average yearly numbers and that will tell almost the entire story.... They don't need 7 minutes to know why either!!!

Incredible. So disciplined. You clearly work very hard (3 jobs!) and exercise self-control in order to put yourself ahead. Ignore me (and I apologize) if this is too personal, bu do you ever think about how your finances will look when you get married? I'll share my plan first. Personally, I'm a fan of a simple prenup: x,y,z accounts/assets/liabilities are mine 100%. a,b,c accounts/assets/liabilities are hers 100%. Shared assets/liabilities will go into accounts j,k,l and will be split 50/50. Fun (not fun at all) fact: unless you have a prenuptial agreement stipulating how to handle debt, not only are assets split 50/50 in a divorce, but so are liabilities. So you could pay all your bills on time and then get saddled with 25k of your ex's 50k in credit card debt after a divorce.
@ScrubsandSavings21
@ScrubsandSavings21 18 дней назад
Hi! I plan on doing a prenup when I'm older, something similar to your plan :)
