I quite like those smaller abstracts grouped together on one sheet with the sort of window pane framing from the tape. I could see framing and hanging several in their entirety next to each other in different hues to show the impact of color on the same landscape. I noticed you wrote "Diptych?" next to a pair in your sketchbook. I love that idea too, especially with the two different sizes.
I'm very new to seriously trying to create and develop my art. I really appreciate all of your videos, especially this one on how you use your sketchbook. It's totally inspired me to do the same. I now feel as though I've been given permission or wings 🙂 to use my sketcbooks in a different way - not always painting directly in it but rather being free on larger full sheets. Thank you
Thanks for sharing these beautiful works. I’m into moody brooding colours like indigo and perylene green. Over the years I’ve gradually moved from representative landscapes to this sort of method. I get so excited by the unplanned colours and effects I’m stuck in a rut of producing these works, using different palettes and mark making. If one looks good enough to frame then it goes up for sale. But I need to move forward after a good year of this! . I feel I should be learning, applying the techniques to advance…. I just don’t know where I’m going! 🤔 Jill R
