The door came out great. Cutting out a hole in your front door takes courage. And I released the loudest gasp when the glass fell. I couldn't believe the glass didn't break. Amazing job!
I stumbled onto your channel one late night and omg I am hooked. I love that it's you actually bringing projects into fruition. I have seen other videos where husbands do all the work and don't explain then the wife does voice overs. I love the way you explain in a way we non diyers can understand. Yes you make it seem so easy. You inspired me..Thank you. I am catching up on all your videos. Love it.❤👍
Thanks for being here! The idea of my husband doing all of the work and me just explaining everything makes me laugh! I’m far too impatient for that. 🤣🤣
Wow! I did a little scream when the glass fell, I was sure it was broken. Glad for you that it was still intact. You truly inspire me, I'm still trying to get acquainted with my drill.
Haha! I can’t believe it didn’t break either. Keep going with the drill. When I first started I put so many holes in the wall trying to hang curtains! Lol
That is fantastic! My husband is certain that it is an impossibility and has told me so for years! Guess I have to show him this video. Or maybe I can get my daughter to help me do it! Thanks for your video. You sure make it a possibility!🌸
Oh that is a lucky find! I've been keeping my eyes peeled but every time I see a door with a window it's the kind that is inherently inset. Fingers crossed I luck out and can put together a very pretty set up like you did
Nope. Gonna be stubborn like you. I love it! All these videos, people taking the door off, never was a plan for me. Was going to do it exactly as you did it, minus the window falling. ;)
I am so impressed with your ability!! I have been binge watching all your projects and you are awesome! Where did you gain all your DIY knowledge?? Go Girl!!
New to your channel and binge watching…. OMG I screamed when I saw the window falling down. Thank goodness it didn’t break. Cutting a hole in your door ….. WOW!
Haha! Go for it! I’ve never had a project go 100% like I thought it would. I usually learn the most when they don’t go as planned. BUT I was freaking out when I thought I broke the glass. 🤣
@@KelseyRomitoDIY thanks for the encouragement! I totally gasped when that window fell! I was so happy there wasn’t anything broken! Can’t wait for the next video!
That tile had to be difficult but you made it look easy! So happy to watch you work, I am inspired! Thanks for sharing and keep going!!!! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Oh the magic of editing. I figured it would be pretty boring watching me chop away at tile for hours! I just said to my husband yesterday “I am NEVER demoing tile again!”
Hi! I just recently found your channel and oh my gosh! You're amazing! I've already purchased Ikea Billy bookcases and am going to attempt to do my den similar to what you did. But now I want to do my front door. Can you tell me where you got the blind for the door?
Thank you! I actually found the woven shade for the door at a local habitat for humanity building store. I know they have very similar items on Amazon but I always try to save money wherever I can.
Amazing transformation, one and all. Please consider installing deadbolt locks. Earlier this year a tweaker bypassed simple locks like yours and many others. Sadly an acquaintance lost her life after hours of torture.
Haha I was sure it was broken too. Before I even looked I was already trying to figure out what I could cover the hole with while I ordered a new window. I was shocked it was intact.
Hey Kelsey! I have been following you and have been inspired by you since I saw your first video. I know this is so random but I finally got a 3/4 lite door installed (too chicken to do it myself) but I want to add a bamboo blind for privacy. I am hoping you can give me some advice -the new door is fiberglass. Is it possible to drill into this door to hang a bamboo shade like you did? Thanks so much!
Hello! I just discovered your channel and wow... everything is SO good. Curious if the only way this works is with a window from an exterior door? Maybe a dumb question...but would any kind of window work?
I don’t think a regular window would work quite as easily. You would have to add your own trim around each side. And make sure it’s the right thickness for the door.
9:10 I came for the knowledge of how to install a larger window in a door .. but I’m staying cause it seems your just as klutzy as me and have wayyyy better luck cause that glass would have undoubtedly broke on me. 🤣And your “oh shit” face was the cutest 😘 #NewFan #GirlPower 👊🏻😘
You are fearless! The door job looked anything but easy. Great job. Admittedly I haven’t watched all your videos yet. But wasn’t your living room white carpet with tile at the door entry in the beginning of this video or did I fall asleep and wake up. Now it’s wood look but your are rubbing that wood door all over that new looking floor with no protection. What is the floor made of please. Great door over panel. You are amazing young lady
You are totally right. At the beginning of the video there is carpet with tile at the door. Then I remove the tile and show a little footage of the floors being installed. You must have fallen asleep! Haha The floors are water resistant laminate. Allen + Roth in the color scarlet oak.
@@KelseyRomitoDIY sorry I wasn't looking to cut my door months ago lol I am now I need to do this to both of my doors need more natural light coming in the house
We're getting a new front door but I don't people being able to peek into our home through the windows so we're getting s door with etched glass so that way no one can peek through but we still have the light we need to come in
The fireplace is linked in the video description. I love it! I sit in front of it on an ottoman almost every day! I will say it doesn’t put out tons of heat- which I actually like because I live in Texas. Lol
@@KelseyRomitoDIY I'm in south Florida so I feel that lol. I was just wondering about the aesthetic of it but I looked it up and the reviews were great. Thank you again! You are killing it btw, I've watched a lot of your videos. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Kelsey Just came across your video, love it. Window falling surprised me, omg my mouth just dropped, lol What material is your door m made from? I want to put a window in my back door to get some light in the utility room. What all tools did you used?
Haha! Still can’t believe the window didn’t break. My door is made of fiberglass- which is WAY easier to cut through than solid wood. The only tools you really need for this project are a jig saw and drill.
It really is so easy. If the fit isn’t super tight (and even if it is) you can apply a little caulk and it will seal it from water and/or air leaking in/out.
I love this entry makeover. I cant wait till it warm up a bit and I can paint my front door too. My question is were is the awesome román share from? Id like deets to get one for my own door. Thank 😁
I actually found mine at a local habitat for humanity. But you can find them online- I know Amazon has some. I’ve also ordered them before from justblinds.com
