Honestly make videos for fun, if they get viral that's great, if not, keep trying. But don't start fulltime expecting to get rich in the next 6 months.
I’m 14 and I was just able to get a 1996 stick shift Ford ranger from a guy who was moving to California and needed to sell the truck ASAP And the only thing wrong with it was the ac and the odometer broke I fixed the ac and now I just ordered some stuff to fix my dash up. I got an opportunity just like drew and I’m very thankful Edit: I also just fixed the break booster today with my mom.
What did you pay for it? I've recently seen a 97 going for $3,300. I'm going to go check it out soon to see what type of shape it's in but Im pretty sure it's not bad.
Honestly I'm so glad you said this! A lot of people on RU-vid get big and just flex not showing how much struggle was involved! You on the other hand work so damn hard and it shows! I hope you continue to grow and be even more successful!
That’s the same quote I live by. I am tired as heck, but not broke. I’m 23 and I have a 93 and ‘10 Mustang. Both paid by me. I work full time and go to school full time. Been helping my parents pay bills since I was 16. Now that I’m about to finish college, I’ll be mainly working now and be one stop closer to getting my Dream Car, RX-7 FD next year. It’s all about patience and saving up. Spend your money wisely is Key.
@@6ty8stang he has badass cars, he’s living his dream. If you only had to work 1 hr a day making RU-vid vids while racing your multiple cars all day, I think you’d be ok with making old content lol
Get determined and with hard work and some luck you might find an unfilled niche to exploit and be profitable. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't work out, like I said luck plays a role. You roll snake eyes then keep working hard, save and invest in causes you believe in and companies/projects that show potential. Get a cheap car and make it fun, stack your investments wisely don't blow your load on depreciating cars or boats.
Not comparing myself but I’m 20, and I own a 1990 Honda prelude si and a 1991 Honda ef hatch with a b20 swap. I didn’t know I had a passion for cars until I was about 18, and before that I drove a 94 escort for 4 years that barely ran! Ofc I don’t have a Supra or mclaren, but I like that you grinded to get your cars, without help, because I have too. I’m only like 8K in for both, but I love them because they’re my builds, and I have had damn good fun making them the way I want:) the project never ends and there’s always new ideas
My dream car is a 74 Corvette. I was able to find a shit box project on Craigslist and I had enough to drive to Midland with my dad and a friend and get it. I've been rebuilding it for the last 6 years. It's not gonna be the fastest, but I'm okay with it. So far, I'm $32,579 and some change into the build. I got no help other than guidance from my father who's a master mechanic. He told me that if I wanted it then is float the bill. This car actually sparked my love of cars. I hope that one day I can have sons and help them rebuild something old and cool.
Great job Drew!! I'm 47 and if you were my kid I would be so proud. I like your sense of humor and your channel. You give me hope for the the future. Its good to see young people working hard, love it!!!
I've been watching your channel for about half a year and I have MAD respect for anyone who builds their platform from the dirt. Mad props to you man. I hope you continue to grow in doing what you love with the same energy you've carried this whole time.
Imagine being in the car in front and seeing this man in a McLaren talking to nobody and making hand gestures with a camera on his head Sounds pretty cool
It isn't necessarily RU-vid paying him, it's the sponsors that are paying him. You'd be surprised to see how much some companies pay people just to be sponsored on one video.
Totaled my first car, flipped it on the highway but im glad for my second chance at life but all this is so true for everyone 🙏🏽. All i did to mines was some best buy door speakers. Love from Massachusetts ❤️
Bro this is such a wholesome vid! I’m 19 just getting started, bought myself a cheap Prius as a daily and a b6 a4 to modify, working 40 hour weeks and having a couple side hustles I hope I can get to a decent point in my life a few years down the road.
@Kevin Karbonik Drew has busted his ass for all of this. He deserves to have nice things. He's worked hard and has earned it. Being big on RU-vid isn't easy at all. Takes a ton of time, work and patients. You're just jealous.
@@davidcurfman7855 oh I know it does... I'm not knocking him for that ... I just think he's an arrogant idiot that I would probably punch in the face if I ever saw him at a meet.
Mad respect. Proof that you can literally manifest your dreams if you work hard enough. I've been wanting an Infiniti G35 coupe since NFS Underground 2 came out. It'll be paid off and in my name by summer next year if all goes well.
Go for it brother. Bought my Evo IV at 21, and it's been great to me, keep basic maintenance up to date and tasteful mods will keep the car reliable. I really hope it works out for you, I'm rooting for you!
Start building that credit my man. Getting a secured credit card was definitely one of the best things I did when I first turned 18. I'm 20 now with some amazing credit and it's on;y gonna get better from here! GL!
You can do it!!!! I just bought an evo 8 at 19. Straight cash. (Still can’t believe it) Hard work and many hours of searching for a deal to pop up and I eventually got one in the mid teens in surprisingly great condition. It’s funny because I was shooting for an rx7 and I ended with something more of my liking lol the universe was on my side for once but yeah man long story short just keep striving and it’ll come to you.
This is very motivational...I started a RU-vid channel but lately I’ve been lacking it. This inspired to give it my all. Tomorrow I’m going to buy better camera equipment.
Hi drew, if you see this I just would like you to know I've been following your channel for awhile, this video really impacted me, and reminded me of wanting to start my own channel and that guys just work hard it's gonna suck, but look at someone like drew and know there's no reason why you can't do it too, and just have that goal in your head and it'll help power you through it. I had one car a year ago this time and was a little down and out and now I have 3 and my dream motorcycle.....Thanks drew and look forward to that coyote build!!
I've been incredibly blessed, same situation with drew. I wanted this 2006 wrx and no bank or credit union would take me and were weird about cosign. So my dad whipped out the cash for it and i paid him every month. Half way through paying he says "you've been doing really well in life. i dont need the money. The car is yours now." I still fully intend to pay him back, it is the least i can do for him for all he's done.
Mark is good people. Its nice to see someone else who has worked for everything they have. Granted, i don't have as much as you, but I have no drive at all anymore. But, what i do have, i worked hard for and you respect and love the shit more because you know you had to work hard for it.
I'm 24 and love seeing people around my age succeed. I just bought an ATS-V and can't wait to start pumping out videos. You have great content! Keep this shit up.
I’m 23 and had 9 motorcycles, 2 other Mustangs, and currently only have a 2014 mustang GT and a Harley, live on my own, with money, and a great job. Feels great when you make great decisions and work hard
I love that you're promoting the idea of saving your money instead of modifying your car starting out even though people say just jump right into it to have fun. I'm a car enthusiast-or aspiring one if you don't consider people who don't have a "nice car" _yet_, car enthusiasts-and I'm currently driving my first and only car as of now a bone stock Lexus rx400h (hybrid), sure car guys like to shit on hybrids, but it gets me to and from work, saves a shit ton of money on gas and maintenance, was really cheap to get yet still runs great, and although it's not really quick or nimble, if you really want to you can still have fun in it. Part of me really wants to get a different car that I can start to mod even if it is just throwing stickers on and an intake or some shit as a budget personalized ride while I save money, but the other part of me likes saving money now to fund my future car whatever car I decide will be best for me later on. Working minimum wage and still in highschool is tough, but it really does make the commute kind of fun if you ignore all of the shitty drivers (and yes I can be a shitty driver at times, I'm still getting used to driving, but I don't lose my temper and I prefer to be patient than rush even though going fast is fun). TLDR: I agree with saving money on your first car and early on in general so you can have a much better experience later.
@@joaking17-24 The cheapest REAL GTR34 i could find was US$145,435 with the fees included. Tbh since the prices are going up, youre better of with gts(t) and then buying a GTR front and rear bumper (or buy a whole bodykit at once)
Damn he is the realest a person can get. I agree with your morals and I appreciate the way you were raised. Your parents did something if not everything right. You should never fall back onto your parents for money because the more that happens and the more money you take from them the more you become a leech in life taking everything from everyone till you push them away. I’ve seen it multiple times, a few being in my own family. So strive to be independent. Also “hind sight is 2020 (the year)” that sh*t had me reborn.
I have 7 cars and 1 motorcycle and I just use broadform (Edit although none of my cars are valued over 10k if I had a 100k car it would for sure have full coverage)
I just bought my 350z I was saving up for two years, I work in construction and I made around 18 dollars being a taper with benefits. At first I hated waking up at 5am everyday and going to work then side job. I would get home around 6 or 7. Even Saturday and Sunday I would work most the day while everyone is enjoying their free time and having fun. I payed for my car cash and it felt amazing knowing that all my hard work meant something Ik it’s not a huge accomplishment but for me it is. I used that car to learn standard I just turned 20 this month and It’s been a blessing
Never finance a car (loan)!! Save your money for what you really want. Also don’t go out your way on trying to impress others if you want to save your money and do research on the car you want to buy.
Just get a job and save. Worked min wage at Popeyes from 15-17 saved up 6k bought my dream which was an e36 325i had a job change cuz a shit manager now I’m at Panera Bread and making enough to save for parts like coils, exhaust, wheels, etc.. just find a way to grind and you’ll get it
@@AVMS777 this is a silly mind set since if you finance a car, you can spend that huge amount of money you have for not buying it and spend its on something not to increase your income by the time you pay off the car you would have already outpaced the interest
My 19 year old friend who’s a few months younger than me just bought his dream car yesterday (2011 C6 ZR1). He also has a 2012 BMW X5M tuned to 640hp that he was driving for awhile before he bought the vette
You got it do what you got it do. Well done ,is much better when you do it on your own , no one will take that away from you Drew. Good luck on your next car adventure.
It’s refreshing to hear that you have taken out loans to help get what you want. There’s a lot of people especially in the car community I’ve seen that will look down on your for taking out a loan or financing through a dealership. With interest you’re paying more than the car might be worth yeah, but that’s the price you pay to be able to have something you otherwise wouldn’t
I'm 15 and saving up to get a car and a licence at 16, my dad will give me a bit of money if I need it but ill grind for everything that I want on my car.
the issue for me isnt i cant afford a 6k~ car, its the fact in the uk anything worth a damn for a 18-25 year old is gonna cost me upwards of 8k a year in insurance
I remember watching u back then, then i lost ur channel i wasnt sub 🤣🤦🏻♂️then came accross u again and here u are with all these cars u came a long way in just 3 years 🔥💪🏻
My car isn’t worth modifying right now but I love the thing to death and I’ve grinded for it since I was twelve. I’m not going to go crazy. Just wheels tires suspension and an exhaust. I know that on all my dream cars the insurance is too high so I’ll wait until I’m older to afford them. Great video and you continue to be an inspiration to me and countless others. 😎
Mexican parents let you live in their house rent free so it works, well as long as u have a job or go to school and follow their ground rules your good 😂
@@josephcruz223 thats rare. Most mexicans ive seen help or have to. And sometimes mom doesnt have actual job so just cooks etc while everyone else has a job. Either way my folks did that tho.. they didnt want me paying but did want school but i was like meh ill work.. so that worked, at least i had a job. But i eventually got a condo. Just bcz i can still live with them doesn mean i should keep doing it forever. Tho you still wont save alot. Still helluva job needed to get paid and then save
I'm 14 and just found my fiero by sheer luck. My dads a locksmith, and he had to redo the locks at an old place that sold vanaties and wood stuff for homes that was going out of buisness. By chance, he saw an old fiero sitting by a warehouse and asked the guy about it. He said it had 47000 miles and was going to be auctioned along with everything else there in a few days. He also said that he had a mechanic flush the fuel lines and had it running. We decided to go to the auction and ended up winning it for 850 bucks. Then, we slapped a battery in it and drove it home. 😂 It was suprisingly very mechanically sound and every interior light worked. It has a few problems and was very dirty, but it was an absolute steal for 850 bucks and I am forever grateful.
The story and honestly was real & I really have a different level of respect for you!! What i have learned is never forget where you started from & how easy it is to end up back there or worse. God Bless!
You are a true inspiration Drew it’s really crazy to see what you’re able to work for if you really put your mind to it. You own 3 badass cars and it’s really cool to see someone give advice and inspire others. I’m 18 rn and my first car rn is a 02 Acura RSX and one thing I can say is that I love the shit out of this car.
I'm 23 myself and I'm currently saving up to get myself a 2017 Chevy SS. Love the car. I currently drive an '13 Impala SS, it's not race car but I take care of it and she gets me where I need to be.
I think I remember a past video where he was talking about his dreams of owning a lambo was out of reach and never going to happen, and how he had to settle for less. I can't remember if that was Drew but if it was, what a mad lad. The grind is inspiring.
A free place to live is WAY more than enough lol. Especially with my current situation, I'm very thankful to have a single mother that cares about my future, so she allows me to stay with her until I'm finished with college. Seriously a big game changer when you don't need to pay the insane prices of living anywhere in California these days and can pay off a car without worries.
dang youre goals man, owns badass cars, owns a house, popular pretty badass for 23 . i was only able to buy my house at 29 then bought me a gtr sold it got a z06. good job for doing it all so young
Really cool and very honest , that's the way I live as well, save save save ...until I get what I want , I'm glad i found this channel and met such an honest RU-vidr
Drew, you got a good heart. I love all the inspirational and motivational stuff you say. I'm working on getting a BMW E46 M3 right now, it's all about the grind. 🙏
I loved this video, you inspired me to work triple my original hours, now I’m crate motor swapping an 91 EF Civic I saved up for over the course of years.
Yo Drew, jw, what job did u have as you were working part time? Im 15 and I’m trying to save up as much money from a McDonald’s job in hopes to get my dream car in the future.
Lmao bro. You're good. Save till 19 any car will be yours if you finance. Buy a credit card and use it only for small things. Which builds your credit. By the time you go buy. You wont be declined like he did. Just never make the limit more then what you can afford to pay it off.
