Yeah thats some scary stuff, one time a house in my neighborhood literally turned into a nuke and exploded. Everything in a 3 house radius was destroyed and my house had some minor damages thankfully

This reminds me a lot of a similar situation that happened a few years ago which I myself experienced. There was a gas leak in our utility room as well however it wasn’t as bad originally. What made it really dangerous was when my dad turned on a switch for a heater, which was right outside of the utility room. As expected it nearly immediately exploded and my dad was rushed to the hospital where he had to stay for a few weeks. It doesn’t end there though. After we evacuated and and my dad was taken by an ambulance one of the people who had come to try and handle the fire and gas now coming out of the utility room noticed that due to the explosion, the pipes above the room had collapsed which caused water to start rushing down the walls and ceiling. It put out the fire but also flooded the entire house. This basically means we lost everything in the house, had my dad in the ER, and were stuck outside on a cold dirt path out in the outskirts of town. Now we were lucky that my grandparents were planning on selling a house they owned and allowed us to move into it rent free and we’ve been here since then because we never got to go back to our old house. Thinking about the way all of this could have went had my dad not been protected by a singular wall sends shivers down my spine. That day I could have lost everything, but life blessed my family with survival. Edit: As an answer to a few people in the replies wondering how my father is now, he is doing relatively fine. Due to the incident and the wall collapsing but still somewhat protecting him he’s doing a lot better than he could have been as he just suffers from a bit of back pain due to his back being what was mainly injured. At the moment he’s scheduled on pain medications and has to wear a back brace for a few more weeks and then they said he could start removing his brace every now and then to get his back back into motion. Side note: don’t give the UTTP bots attention all they want is attention so don’t give them it and I appreciate the support from you all.

As someone who had multiple near death experiences it is very scary because you see your life flash before your eyes quite literally and just want the moment to end with you alive when it's over

I'm from Britain but the apartment complex I live in has these boxes that have like connections to pipes and electrics and if those get tripped, your house might as well go good night because it's screwed.

well I just bought a gas detector. My office is also in my basement next to the utility closet.

1 time there was a gas leak, i ended up in the hospital with my mom and sister, since they passed out. thankfully my dad is a firefighter so he saved us.

My PE teacher had a fire burn his whole house down 2 days before Easter. ( he has two young kids btw) The day after it happened one of his friends had the get his kids new bikes and toys because everything was gone. On Easter I was helping with my church and I wasn’t expecting him to be there because he goes to a different church but I saw him there and he smelt like a campfire. Since then they have been living in his friend’s home and they still don’t know why it started. They think it was a gas leak. I’m glad Kreek is ok.

Gas leaks are so scary. My teacher's neighbour had one a few years ago (they lived in an apartment building), and if it wasn't for my teacher smelling the leak very early in the morning, the whole house woulda blown up, glad ur OK!!

We're all glad youre okay kreek,in 2018 a similar thing happened to me my bedroom and the utility room was next to each other,my mom and dad was looking at the furnace and they smelled gas around it but fortunately they hired someone to fix it..

Once , I almost died of a gas leak in about 2017 and literally couldn't breathe that night. I had to sleep in my grandma's house

I also had a dangerous gas leak yesterday. So basically, one of the gas pipes right outside my window, under the house was leaking, for about 5 months, I didn't really know about it, as my window couldn't open for some reason. Once the window problem was fixed, I went to sleep as normal, but with the window opened. When I woke up, I smelt something a bit weird. But brushed it off, and continued about my day. I was freezing in my room, and for some reason I just didn't choose to turn the heater on, which saved my life. A few days went by, until I started to think about the smell. It was getting a bit bad. So, because I didn't know about gas leaks, I didn't recognize the smell and went outside to check. Turns out one of the pipes cracked and gas was leaking everywhere under and outside of the house. I immediately called the gas company and they told me to leave the house, and wait for one of them to come over. Then, a guy came and turned off the gas, he checked some stuff and told me that I was safe to enter the house again, but to not use the heater until someone came by and fixed it. I could've died by turning on the heater, and the window is fixed at that time which allows me to smell the gas leak.

2:03 tip for 🚫spiders: spray peppermint oil in a spray bottle (hair mist spray bottle works) and possibly dull with water (your choice, not necessary) and it keeps spiders out. Spraying corners, door cracks, and unused areas should work. Also, spiders are great for keeping ants/flies/crickets out but if you don't like spiders use RAID or similar products for pesky insects.

Reminds of my story that was not really similar to yours but had the same concept- There i was in the kitchen making some food on a pan and then i was gonna make a omelet so i went to show my dad my AMAzInG egg cracking skills and then suddenly my mom just shouts out of nowhere ''WHAT IS THAT SMELL?!'' she just goes to kitchen to check and just looked at me She turned off the gas and and came up to me and my dad and i still cant belive i had done this. She told me the house could have exploded cuz of me- Basically what had happened was i put the flame on low flame but on the stove the flame was not coming as it was on VERY low flame so basically the gas was just leaking out. All this because of my egg cracking skills.. (I was not allowed in the kitchen by myself for 2 weeks- )

I’m so glad your ok and didn’t die. That once happened to me near my home too. It’s was a first gas leak around my place, and it was in 2023 or 2024 in January. Luckily I survived and you too! But if you die fr I will cry forever and never come outside 😭

I am sorry you have a near death experience. It can be extremely scary, especially since I had a near death experience a lot of times. One of my experiences was some power sparked, which could have burnt my house down.

something similar happened to be a few years ago. a tree fell on our propane tank and no one in my family heard it and we were cooking. with gas. which should have blown up the house but it didn't somehow and my neighbor heard the tree fall on my propane tank so they called the fire department and we evacuated the house and a little bit later (I forget if it was hours or days because it was so long ago), we went back inside our house and it was fine.

Unless something you sprayed at the spider or something sparked when you moved stuff when maybe something unplugged it could have started it or maybe what you were spraying at the spider if it was bug repellant it may have been flammable and it all ends up adding up to the story eventually

This reminds me in January my home city (ulaanbaatar) had a gas explosion nearby around 400-500 meters away from me and the gas was made of natural gas and 6 people died 3 were firefighters and the fire managed to reach the building nearby i saw the moment happen right in my eyes i was scared when the first building caught on fire and thinking the building i was would get in fire so i went told my family and we evacuated and the fire never ended up touching the building i was in and 8 people were injured i hope the people are recovered from the explosion and i hope the gas explosion never happens again

these kind of videos are much more interesting and informative than the tiktok videos. there’s another dangerous gas called carbon monoxide and it’s odorless and can kill you which is why having a carbon monoxide detector is also important

The gas valve controls gas flow into the furnace through gas lines. If a gas line or valve leaks, you'll notice a strong gas smell around the furnace. Gas lines leak due to improper installation, age, and accidental damage. You'll require a professional to inspect and repair your furnace if you smell gas around it

This was sorta similar to an incident I had at my old house. We had a gas stove in our kitchen and it started to create a weird like smell. When the maintenance people came, they found that there was a leak in the stove; and if not fixed, the stove could explode.
