I played Kenrith in your second game and I certainly did not play the game out greedily. The variants you mentioned omitted the fact that you cast a board clear and removed my orcish bowmasters which was deployed to keep Gitrog in check. The purpose of my keep was to wheel on turn three, but of course rogsi flipped the naus. In fourth position I can't afford to mulligan to play table police in a pod going fourth with only one other blue deck.

Wow, that was an incredible win on that round 4. As an etali pilot myself, you gave me inspiration to run delayed fireball, blasphemous act, and craterhoof. Well deserved win as a gruul player playing against 3 sans red decks!

Last round ending sounds super sus in so many ways i have to respect your ability to talk about it without spewing distaste on top of other errors you’d already had to deal with that day

The mistake sounds even worse considering Shuana bounced a permanent previously in the game that went to the owner's hand. Then that player tried to bounce a permanent that wasn't his to his own hand.

That last round sounds so weird with this, especially when there's such a clear rule (Tournament specific) for how to proceed after disconnects and whatnot

You’ve been killing it, love the recap. Have you ever thought about/tried the RCQ grind and getting to the pro tour? I feel like you would kill 60 and 40 card magic as well, and trying your hand and the pro tour would be a fun arc to watch. Curious your thoughts and thanks for the content!!

Hey blue farm player here, it was a t1 mystic remora, not rhystic. Also something to note is my camera was down for about 1 minute, not 3. The judges looked at the stream before and after the disconnect and stated my graveyard and library had not moved at all (no foul play). The reason I asked to keep playing is because I likely would not have made top 16 based on my tiebreakers if we drew that game. While it's true i did win after the windfall resolved, what happened specifically is I praetors grasped dihadas underworld breach, which has a decent chance of failure if that player had drawn it or d. Swat etc. I imagine someone stacking their deck would go for a more consistent line like their own underworld breach or tutor.

Etali remind me so much of a Pako but with a Way to win in a infinite way. Like You can get so much advantage but also have a way to push damage. It could be interesting to at least try to put more ways to copy etali or some of the ETB creature in the deck, if they are "good enough" cards. I feel like you could churn through so much stuff

Blas act is one of the best sans black Boardclears. Many people don’t run it, and it’s basically a 1-2 mana clear a lot of the time in most metas

Okay… hear me out. I know this isn’t as good as a tide spout or a Sphinx of the second sun since you can’t neoform but how fun would it be to play etali in a temur deck like thrasios dargo that already runs kitten. You can eldritch for it. Displacer bounces etali each time you cast a non creature and odds are pretty good you get a non creature off 4 triggers (assuming all players on the game still). I know it’s not optimal but i thought of this interaction the other day and I think it would be so fun to pull off.

Not long agonin a tournament i has a miss trigger of a Karmic Guide, i had justo draw My card and eas going yo cast a Felidar Guardian with 9 mana. Judge decided My Karmic Guide died and that Lost me the Game. After they Match the judge realizado his mistake on how he rules the miss trigger

What do you like about Etali over something similar (like Maelstrom Wanderer) who can put you in better colors and have an easier time finding food chain?

i'm basing my etali deck a lot more off of copying etali. things like the blade of selves, mirror box, helm of hosts, "orthion, hero of lavabrink", flameshadow conjuring, and a few others.
