@@TYRANSISTV of course, ive also made it a self rule to kill any bard in alt mode using lutemod. see it once, they get killed the entire match. untrustworthy. been particularly bad since it was free on epic. number of times ive been bonked in the back since is insane.
@@TYRANSISTV the 3 main bard rules are 1. Stay off point 2. Dont attack people 3. Dont play random spam/crappy sounding songs Some lesser rules are 4. No placing spawn flags/bear traps/spikes that are intended to kill/protect objective. 5. No extra weapons besides Lute/Shawm 6. Dont destroy buildables, especially the enemy teams. main bard rules are widely accepted as kill on sight if broken. lesser rules are at discretion and not everyone views them the same. killin a bard thats following the rules usually will get you kicked, especially if your team is enjoying said bard.
Don't tell him that you receive gold proportional to how much time you spend in match if you earned at least 1 point. So that one 200lvl scoring 300 kills gets same gold as you afking for 30 minutes
@@Specoups yea I just noticed that playing with my friends like 2 days ago, that was prob changed recently cause from release it used to be simply more time = more money. And yea you can't be 1rst consistently if you are playing archer so unironically standing afk will give more money for less effort.
@@L4dy_Kum Nah I can tell you it's not recent at all. Been playing since 2020. If anything, I feel like they even reduced the gap and made the system more generous overall.
@@Specoups I honestly don't know but I fell like I started to get more gold since few last patches previously earning around 1500 always beeing first and now up to 3000. And that day my friend just said: Damn that 1k gold hits hard, and me looking at my +2k or something I was surprised, because before those patches same happened but we actually had same gold.
Makes sense to use archer. Some of these basterds that have been playing since day one have learned to exploit the animations and shit and that's great. I'm sure in their Infinet wisdom they've also learned to parry these crossbow arrows to the side of their heads.

I have more than 500 hours in the game and have seen only two types of archers. The ones who shoot everything that moves and ones who had enough and took bow just to spawncamp enemy's archers.
As a respected Mordhau member ( :p ) who has 800+ hours in the game after 4 years, I can easily say there is no such thing as a ''good archer''. All archers are bad, period.
I would even trade one Executioner Sword/Zweihander user for a thousand archers or naked maulmen. Those guys are always at the top. I once tried Executioner sword. I got far easier kills but i felt ashamed. lol
It's fun going Dual xbows because you can almost kill heavy armored targets with both and most people usually charge in like mad after the first shot from xbow

Rats like this are very needed against pubstompers. They don't allow us to mindlessly hack into a 1vX. By being the scumbags they are, piling projectiles onto us even when we're outnumbered, it forces us to play smarter and stop feeding on the poor souls who are learning melee. Ofc as a top score player, this infuriates me, and will make me automatically switch into "seethe, cope and focus the rat" mode, but it's better that way tbh. Else frontline and invasion would devolve into what brawl is, aka a competition of who LMBs spams large two-handers the most. If you're using this against low levels though, you deserve Hell and worse.

actually any kind of archers in frontline or invasion are acceptable. u can play as u wish cuz in these modes there are big battles and archers can be helpful, especially traps and ballista enjoyers. but if u playing with bow in duel servers im gonna kick ur ass
A hated player is one who is known in the community. You wouldnt believe the real hate some mordhau players get in the vet scene. You on the other hand..
I prefer Chivalry over Mordhau for.. a lot of reasons, really. Though, as such I am also not really aware of the most common type of gamemode in Mordhau. If it has anything more than just team deathmatch maps, like objectives.. Wouldn't be firing at any opponents more useful? And personally, especially in objective-based maps. Fuck duels. Its not a duel-only server. You will get stabbed in the back, a lot. ..Then again, that's Chivalry experience speaking. "Duels" there are not exactly a thing to occur in a 64 on 64 player battlefield. Others will come to your aid, whether you want to or not (or the other way round). ..yes im aware archers are disliked in Chivalry too but it seems Mordhau always takes it one step up in everything, in the bad way.
Yeah, only low levels really care about 1v1ing in Team deathmatch style maps, all the veteran players just run around having a good time backstabbing people and clearing out spawns. If we want to 1v1 we'll join a duel server. Although generally, if I see two guys 1v1ing, I'll let them be if they're noobs, if not I'll start the 1vx.
I agree with you, if you see the duel going on in Mordhau invasion/frontline (objective modes) server, it is only up to you to either leave the duelling guys alone or join them. If it's a dedicated dueling server - that's a different story, but in usual team gamemodes you are NEVER guaranteed that everyone will respect the duels. I say that as an archer who mostly work for the objective. And while i tend to not interfere with any duelling people or with any silly bards or dancing goofy jesters, I haven't come here to Mordhau to follow "unspoken rules" of melee fighters, j've come here to fight for victory. And if a bard or dueller is preventing me from capping a last objective, i won't hesitate to shoot him in a head with crossbow.

actually its not the archer, go make yourself an armor clad warrior with a 2 handed sword and do ranked duels, youll loose some youll gain some, but youre definitely gonna start piling up that gold
