Ywo you should be able to do what Adam was doing when it died. Bouncing it off the limiter 4 times before it blew up wasn’t that bad so I’m sure the motor was a little weak or had some bad bearings

Evo 8 has stronger internals anyway Adam, so I'd keep the stock block and keep it as a nice daily, maybe ask the tuner to look at a fuel cut limiter rather than ignition cut 🤷♂️
I know this is 3 yrs old but the squeaky, scratchy noise when you bounce on the trunk was the upper sway bar bolt. On the driver's side. Well the bracket scratching against the bolt. Look closely after you say "what could that be".

My guess for the Evo is that you’re gonna take the engine from the yellow Evo from down unda and use that in the white Evo here in the states and still have that crazy engine built for the one in Straya 🤫
