West Shore Services does many installments and replacements anywhere in the US. There is only 1 WSS which is located in Allendale, Michigan. They do services in and out of Michigan.
West Shore services must not be just michigan, because they are the ones that are replacing Minneapolis/St paul MN's Epic system of Thunderbolt 1000T, 1003, and 1000, And many other awesome sirens with 130s.
Because the Whelen 3016 was the closest to my house and I wanted to own the closest Tornado Siren I grew up hearing. As much as I love the EOWS, I figured the 3016 was more important to me.
Awesome, i recently contacted my county services and asked them about how i could obtain a thunderbolt 1000 from them. they have recently all been replaced except for one about 4 miles from me. i would hate to lose my chance to be able to obtain one!
You did a great video! I do own a very old Federal Model D Air Raid Siren. I like to own a STH-10. And how did cheetawolf got a Thunderbolt 1000T? I know he got it from West Shore Services. Did you ever met cheetawolf?
@Siren1000T1 they replaced the early 50's tbolts in St. Paul, mn. I think I can convince them to remove a couple. I really want one with the big A1 blower!
It does have a Mic slot to plug in but the voice capability on my panel would not work because there was a wire inside the panel that came off and I wasn't able to repair it and when I took apart my panel to see some other things, I couldn't figure out how to put them back together. So I just left it like that. The main thing is that the siren signals themselves work though.
Nope. I don't know how and I'm not interested. When it comes to repairing sirens or maintenance on sirens, it's hard to get the help to you that you need since there is no local stores that do things like that.
shodowhater I saw somewhere on one of his videos that at least 3 of the speaker drivers that were in the siren were dead when he bought it. Also, running it with the remaining 13 drivers would make him deaf and he might have the police come to his house
