First of all, I missed you guys! Secondly, I am sooooooo sorry for the super long video but there was no other way to capture all of the information. I wanted to connect with you guys again so I wanted to actually talk and share as much as possible. I hate its been so long since I gave you guys a video but honestly, it took a very long time for me to not only become comfortable with my hair while learning it but to even be comfortable filming about it again. Even this video has me a little nervous! 😩 Anyways thank you for being so awesome and sticking with us! ❤️
So glad to see you back. You were the very first person I remember watching when I was trying to learn about healthy relaxed hair care on YT. At the time, I was relaxed and I loved your advice. When everything happened with your hair, I felt SO BAD for you. But, watching how you've handled it with such a positive outlook (although I'm sure you've had plenty of tough times that we did not see) has been so encouraging. Your hair looks beautiful! I’m so happy for you and look forward to seeing you continue your journey.
I love it. It's beautiful. Some of these youtubes go through a 72hr wash day with 10,563,842 steps and 18 different products. It's hard to keep up with them. Also I bought a knock off denman brush from the beauty supply and the bristles are really stiff.
I love Aussie too! I deep condition with the 3 minute miracle, add olive oil and indirect heat (hooded dryer). Once a week after an oil pre-poo and sulfate free shampoo. My hair is retaining length!
I used to watch you when you were relaxed because you were one of the few promoting healthy relaxed hair. I watched you when you did your color (beautiful) and my stomach literally hurt when you told your big chop story. I'm so glad to see your hair so healthy and GORGEOUS!! I'll miss seeing you in the relaxed lane, but this is best for you, so I'm happy for you!
Ugh! I’ve been waiting for this video for soooooo long and I can’t watch it on any device. I’m getting a message that says the video isn’t available 😫😫. But from the thumbnail your hair looks GREAT!
First off your hair looks bomb! So glad you did an updated video! I've been natural for about a year and a half. I first began by transitioning and then I did my big chop in August of last year. My hair also has different curl patterns all over. In the back my curls are tighter and then my front left quadrant is looser than my other curls as is the top of my hair. I recently got my hair blown out and straightened for the first time in a year this past January and decided to get my hair cut into a Bob style because I had so much damage. Now I'm trying to figure out when I should next get my ends trimmed. My only problem is all of the stylist in my city which is a super small city in Texas..about 30,000 people. All of the stylist around where I live only know how to or only want to cut my hair when it's blown out. I really don't want to get my hair blown out every six months or so because I'm trying to stay away from heat. So my question for you would be how did you go about finding a good natural hair stylist?
Whew! Finding a good natural hair stylist was a task!! I basically searched on instagram for months. I was willing to travel so I just stalked sylists' pages looking at their work, client reviews, and their PRICES! I found a stylist who was based in Charlotte and I traveled for the appointment. She did a great job trimming my ends (although she did have to slightly blow it out because of how "dense" my hair is). She used the cool setting on the blow dryer though and she was gentle. I personally don't think using heat one or twice a year is too bad. I'm beginning to think that its slightly necessary to get a thorough trim if you have thick hair.
1) Welcome back 2) I don't know if it's just me, but I can't watch the video. I've tried on the RU-vid app for the Roku stick, as well as on the website and my phone, but it's not working.
I love the shape❤️. I’m so glad you found what works for you. And thank you for showing empty products 👏🏾 Don’t get me wrong, I think product reviews are entertaining and I know they make money, but I really don’t like this excessive ‘buy and try’ perception influenced on RU-vid. I mean it’s not even realistic for any natural (budget or otherwise). I also don’t like that most of these reviews are several expensive products-depending on your hair type, that’s not realistic either. I know it’s not really a big deal (since it’s your money, not mine), but there are so many women with my hair type knee deep in mane choice and as I am (and very disappointed with their results). And they’re asking me what brands I use, totally shocked that I don’t use hardly any expensive products, go to salons, or add hair to any of my protective styles. It’s almost like they’re trapped in this cycle. 🤷🏾♀️
Girl, my thick type 4 hair hates the denman brush too. If you’re looking for a great Detangling brush, try the Felicia Leatherwood Detangling brush it cost $14, but it’s definitely a game changer. The only brush I swear by. www.brushwiththebest.com
O yes I know boo. I was just sad that the relaxed hair is no more. I was looking up tips on relaxed hair and when I found your videos I subscribed and kept on watching until when your hair got damaged from the coloring. To me it was a roller coaster of emotions in one night lol. Thank you tho, am going to give those relaxers a try.
NEJAT IMANI sometimes I forget that this whole tragedy was documented in real time! 😂😂😂 but thank you for watching! And hit me up on IG if you ever have any questions. Good luck on your hair journey!! ❤️
Have you tried using the Annie version of a denman brush I like it so much better than a regular Denman I also took out every other row of my brush and it works so much better
Weird. I actually love the Denman. I'm thinking about trying the Felicia Leatherwood brush though, I heard it was the best detangling brush for natural 4's.
nicola Swaby when I first big chopped, I tried taking the Hair, Skin, and Nails gummies but I ate them like candy and they were gone in like 2 weeks 😂 I never bought any more.
