I'm like you- earning under £30k and save £1000 a month. It is very doable if you cut back on frivolous spending,esp during lockdown i tend to spend near to zero apart from bills.
I think lockdown has actually really helped! It’s so true once you’ve taken out all the things you don’t actually need you can be surprised at how much you can save!
Please tell me how you do that? Do you live in London? I live in North London and the most i can save is 700 a month and i dont eat out or even pay for my braids to be done anymore and i think ive got the cheapest rent possible at 650 with a few bills on top making it 710 all in
@@moneyisweird7862 £700 is amazing!! Honestly my housing cost was probably the biggest thing that helped me. At the moment I’m not paying a mortgage or rent because I’m at staying at my mums, but prior to that I became a lodger at a family house and I paid £300 for rent and bills and this was just outside of london - it’s not glamorous but it really helped to accelerate my savings rate!

Haha I shop at Lidl & Aldi which is very cheap, I also don’t buy much because it’s only for myself - when I would go to work I would also meal prep a lot! I’m hoping to do a video soon on it though 😊
