While I neglected to film the actual building of the crusher I go through and explain what I did to build my rock crusher. Previous crusher build video: • Making repairs to my n...
Thanks for explaining everything in such clear manner. Maybe some time you can do a short video of the crusher running with the front plate removed (of course without throwing any rocks into it). Anyway, that's one of the best vids on the subject around.
I believe you should add a reservoir and 1/4" dripline. Such as would cut the dust to minimum. just a small tap, like used for adding a line to your refridgerator from your potable water source.
I like it! One thought, and one question: The thought: Have you pondered adding a nut and bolt to the final link of chain, to give the flails a better head, and: The question: What RPM are you running the shaft? I'm going electric.
RE : The Dust Exhaust Pipe ... One idea you might like to try is to weld on a metal sleeve to which you push the Duct Pipe onto ... hold it on with a large metal pressure clamp ring that is much like a hose clamp but larger !!
Planning my build.. Would holes on the bottom 1 or 3 plates for the processed material to fall be better. Gravity usually makes things fall down. I'm thinking a bigger flale shaft would be better to maybe 1 inch? Would horizontal weld lines on inside plates help brake material better? What would be a better/harder material than chain or attached to end of chains?
For where you put the sticky tape I would actually go and get myself a 3-inch fight to a 6-in pipe and weld it and then make it so there you can slide a pipe onto it and take it off if you want
Building chain impact mill here. . . .Just wondering what size drill holes you have drilled for your exhaust port. . . . and how many. . . .I did my barrel out of 500mm x 150mm (20" x 6") line pipe that was 10mm (3/8") thick . .. . .my first attempt. . . ..my shaft is 25mm (1") and chain is Grade 8 HT steel Galvanised . . . . .Still got a way to go. . . .Have plans of coupling this to a recirculating wet sluice. . ..As I live in a dry region of South OZ. . .
If you wish to fully extract elements from rock you need to have it crushed as fine as possible. I originally built it to crush gold ore but ended up using it primarily for manganese ore.
Hello thank you for the great video, if it is not a problem for you, can you send me your drawings on rock crusher width brace, kind of like drawings, thanks in advance
It costs a fortune to make a metal shaft rotate and short lengths of chain cost thousands of dollars also. It's not like you could just rotate a shaft between some $20 bearings inside of an old propane tank with a couple pieces of chain welded on. Obviously.
Hey! Can you PM me everything I will need to build such a rock crusher dimensions, part names, etc? I want to build one as soon as possible. You can also add my Facebook if you're interested. Thanks!
