An amazing video! You nailed it with so many things like “analysis paralysis” really hit home with me.

I love how you break down your planning method and I find it very inspiring. The more I watch your videos, the more I want a Hobonichi Weeks for next year. I find that I don't necessarily need dated dailies but I do need the monthlies and weeklies and I feel guilty about under using the cousin for that reason. I have so many empty pages, it kinda makes me anxious to think about how to fill them up and get the most bang for my buck, so to speak.

Perfection! its the best of both worlds. I bought an undated Travelers notebook to accomplish much the same. I didn't even think of the Hobonichi!

Wonderful video Lindsey. It touched on a lot of the points I’ve been going thru in the last weeks as I decide if I’m gonna switch to a preprinted planner for my bujo actually. Im toying with dine different planners and ideas.

After bullet journaling for over 5 years, I took the plunge into a Hobonichi Cousin after watching your 2022 video and Helen's videos over at TCMC and I am really enjoying it. I started in March and am able to find ways to squeeze in my love of bullet journaling with the convenience of everything in one book. Like you said, I was going through sometimes 4 books in a year when I was bullet journaling and was constantly pulling out old books for reference, now it's all there :) I do find some restrictions, but I really think the benefits far outweigh. Thank you for sharing your content, I find your style aligns well with mine. Will you do a bullet journaling in a Cousin video? I'd be interested if you did (wink, wink). Thanks again, Lindsey!

I hear you While I myself just journal instead of bullet journalling, I did used to draw out *everything* until I started using a hobonichi cousin. Felt a lot better not having to worry about drawing calendars and timelines all the time. I also related to wanting a whole year in one book, I mean I did make sure one year stayed together since I was using flexible systems like 6rings and discs, but it was also why I was staying away from blank bound books, because there was no guarantee that my entire year would fit in there. All the journals/planners using this kind of thin paper are such godsends for my joints haha

Super curious! I want to do something similar next year now. I currently have three weeks. It is bananas. I would still have two but one would have all my to dos and I love that!

Love your setup and your planner! Looks super functional, but very pretty all at the same time. I’m super interested to know more about your method and previous methods that you’ve tried - will definitely be doing a dig through your vids ❤️❤️

I arrived at the same place earlier this year (February) and ordered a Mega to use the monthly for events and deadlines, the weekly for task tracking and daily to dos and the note pages for daily bullet journaling. I use a little notebook for annual tracking and collections like what I’m watching and bill pays. Designing a layout was bringing me down. This was the answer. I loved seeing how you set it up.

The weeks mega looks like exactly what I need! I'm currently in just a regular a6 daily hobonichi but it's still not exactly what I needed after I abandoned my bullet journal. Maybe I'll try this and see if I get a along with it.

I love the bullet journal idea, but am one that needs predated spreads! I also found I hated the looks of my own drawn months etc and just like the pre drawn spreads much better! But I am also one that hates months with a Monday start, weeks starting on Monday is fine!

I do bullet journaling with that layout over a year now. And I really like to stick to that horizontal spread, because having to think new layout every week is stressing me out. I do my layout and calendar at the beginning of the week, and when I have time to journal, I will fillup the blank pages on the right side of the page depending on the event or what happened that week.

I've been a fan for several months now and I love your setup for the mega! I wanted to ask where can I find those arrow paperclips? I've been looking everywhere even Daiso and no luck!
