As always good video with great information about bait. I use primarily blue gill and only catch smaller ones. Need to try the white bass out and see if it helps me out. Ty for another helpful video
When you have trouble with short striking small (bait) fish, you can add a small trailer hook or 'stinger' to the main hook. For me it increases my hook-up ratio on the short strikers by at least 100%.
I do the same for my bait I fish only with live. good to see someone else catch their own bait as well. I Fish Puget Sound saltwater for lingcod. They kind of look like catfish but they have huge teeth. The season is May 1st to June 15th just got over, my biggest around 65 pounds. Looks like you get some about the same or bigger? Great videos Dave
Thanks for sharing the info Dave i fish the Cumberland River here in Nashville man we use Bluegill primarily now i know why we aint catching any fish over 20lbs i swear its the bait 😁
@@wakingforbacon6439 what’s your bait presentation for the bluegill? I don’t hook up nearly as much with bluegill as I do skipjack. Looking for some pointers to even the playing field since I can 100% always catch them for bait unlike the skips at times.
Dave ? 😮 What happened to Demetrius? Are you tryin to take over his channel ? 😂😅😂 Go get'em Dave ! BTW... Don't know if anyone mentioned it but That WAS A BETTER FISH !
I'm glad you have not turned off y6 çommits like your friend has he doesn't like the comments I say if the heat is to much for you get out of the kitchen
Dave you ever think that maybe it's so dang hot b/c of them there overalls you're always wearin'? You know they make nylon pants that aren't shorts but keep you much cooler and still offer sun protection, if you're into that sort of thing.
My camera dont like heat either. I cant film after 8am down here. Oh Dave,,,,,every now and then you gotta empty the boat out and wash it. This is a good time to do it to. Empty it out, wash it good and let it drain. Leave it parked in the sun with the latches open and it will be fully dry in a few hours. You would be amazed how much weight an old dirty boat can lose after a good cleaning.
Oh I see you throwing them back. Do you ever take any home???? I get hungry for catfish. Every time I see one of your videos just kills me to watch you throw them back safe trails.
Let me help. The waters he's in are not the type of waters you wanna eat the fish out of. There's been things spilled and whatnot all in his area. Now if you like 3rd nipples on your kids go ahead 😅😅
I used to live in Knoxville and I always went up the French Broad River to where the Little Pigeon River empties into it just outside Sevierville. That is where we went for flatheads that were good to eat. We always threw anything over 10 pounds back because the smaller ones were better. I never wanted fish much but that was where we went when we wanted catfish. Cut the filets up bite-size and deep-fried in my secret recipe…best tasting 'Popcorn Catfish' you ever had!
@@chucklangshaw6485 It's up above the forks of the river where the Tennessee begins. Just a bit east of Knoxville. The fishing spot is in Sevier County.
He fished everyday. I like both their channels. Is there really any need for a comment like this? Showing what kind of a special pos you are rather than anyone else. At least people will know. Or not they won’t. Just another keyboard warrior.
